That's my current cookies, you can even smell them ( i can anyways)....Ive seen and read some people edibles bragging about how good they are and you can't even tell....so i thought something was wrong with my process. It's not like I live in CO or Ca and go to the store and by some for comparasions, I have to rely on word of mouth or what I read.

Ok, basically no trade no how on this site. Do what you want off this site, we can not control that, just do not bring it here. I thought we had a funny kinda-serious joke going there that emphasized my current point. No you are not getting banned, but offering trade of one thing for another is clearly against the TOU. Basically don't go all ballistic for nothing. You know we were letting you know where the line is, you know not to cross it, so don't get all crazy over nothing.
For the record, I knew where the line was and never felt like I came near it. Saying that you want to make sure someone you know is perfectly happy with a product you produce if they are compensating in anyway is far cry from trying to trade, borrow, or steal shit from anyone here. But where was I...oh yea to decarb or not decarb. Also, anyone out there try to make canna oil and how long did they do it? Would it be same as tincture or green dragon...and would you decarb before you make the oil if you arent using heat. Making something over the next couple of days...not sure which way I'm going or what I'm making but I want to "dress to impress" so I'm open to suggestions.
I've never considered making oil or butter without heat and water to capture the plant material. If you want no canna flavor the easiest has already been said. Make some hash and dissolve it into the oil. Heat from cooking will do the rest.
I usually pay for 10 a cookie 15 a brownie and the nice chocolates depending on the size 15-20....last ones I have I think were girl scout cookies and they were 15....(store bought from Colorado) bubble hash would be my recommendation then.. if you can make butane oil outside i wouldnt sugest it if you havent tried it yet.... hash oil is very simple and you can just look it up on youtube to see if you want to go that way with the filters
I can make hash, just never tried a legal cookie...so nothing to comp to. As far as taste, when you buy in CO, can you taste anything in the cookie/brownie? That's the point to this exercise. I think I have been preconditioned to think something that's not really feasible
The taste of cannabis in all eatables is every noticeable only thing I can say about them is just want more thc in the food. If your having a problem with just taste then if you can go get a "control" and then test your makings on them that is the best way of testing it....
well just made some oil, got tired of thinking and just running first of many experiments. no decarb, brought veggy oil to 220 then lowered heat to keep constant 200-220 for about half hour. Brownies called for 1/3 cup of oil so added about 12 grams but had to add more oil to cover. Even after added the extra oil barely eeked out 1/3 cup. Got Ghiaradelli mix as it was 325 for like 45 min so hopefully that should not cook the THC and convert any remaining THCA to thc There in the oven now, tasted the batter, slight hash taste, not as bad as my cookies normally are....house reeks though Tee, closet legal market for me is prob 1000 miles away, gotta go with what I know...you know
all the store bought edibles I have ever tasted had that nasty weed taste, they tasted just like what I make.

Thinking of using cocoa powder from scratch then using cannabutter and infused whole milk (bhang?!? whatever it is)....that way I can control more of the taste using akali cocoa and a touch more sugar.....thoughts? does that milk shit taste nasty?

If you simmer too long or use trim it has a big taste. I use only bud or popcorn. I cover the taste with vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Add honey or sugar to taste. It actually tastes like chai if you get it right. Tastes like weedy canna scum if you blow it. My nontoking taste sensitive sister really likes it as a sleep aid and doesn't mind the flavor at all.
Over the holidays I made the hot chocolate recipe off of the back of the Hershey cocoa can. I thought all of the cocoa would mask the taste. It was still nasty as hell. I can't eat edibles because I just can't get past the taste.
