Thanks for the pics Teamster. :ebert:

I see the main difference in our two setups is that your heat source is at the top while the water is in the bottom. Mine is the opposite with the heat source directly below the water. I can get it pretty humid in there with the heat lamp turned up (fogged the window) but with it set lower (at the 100 degree mark) there is less heat to evaporate the water. So it might prove to be an issue....I'll know more with a hygrometer and some more testing. As with anything there will be tweaks to be made.

HHHG...you're correct. Living off your own food is FAR better IMO than buying store bought. I'm already slapping a vein in anticipation of our tomatoes this year. I won't even eat the store bought crap.....forget it! I guess that's what happens with you get spoiled. :roffl:

Yup...the shop is tits. I can make damn near anything in there.:nanner-2:

Rky.....to test the milker I'll have to load a goat onto it. I have one about ready to kid out any day now, but I doubt I'll start milking her just yet. I need to build the milking stand first. My list never seems to get any smaller even though I cross finished projects off all the time! :BangHead:

rocky you have been smokeing way too much hashberry!!!
Herb--Keep in mind what I said about spraying the eggs if your humidity is too low to help them hatch!!!!! Herb notice that egg turner holds about as many as your tray in your unit. One would probably slip right in!!

Thanks Teamster. I'll keep the misting in mind when the time comes. As for the turner....I thought about making it so I could easily turn them all at once, but decided I'd rather turn them by hand. I like being interactive myself. Makes it more fun for me. :anibong:

I know this may take a while to be answered but how did this end up working out as both the incubator and the dehydrator? I'm more interested in the dehydrator part but am still curious...DSP

As an incubator it still needs to be controlled by a thermostat. I tried keeping the temps regulated with the rheostat (dimmer switch) but it was a pain in the ass and didn't work so well.

I've yet to try it as a dehydrator but that time is coming soon. My garden is in full swing and I have peppers and maters to dehydrate finally. I'll let ya know soon as I try it out.

What kind of peppers? Got any habanero or Asians? I love that spicy stuff
    ground up for my cooking.
