Thats a thought. Its only a theory right now, but figuring that dry ice is probably much cheaper than all the needed items for a tank, that might be a cool test to try and see what "bolus feeds" of CO2 might do for a grow. I don't think it'd freeze the plants per se, but it COULD definately drop the ambient temps in a room so I'd just be mindful of that if anyone gives it a shot. Plus it'd look pretty sweet to unzip a tent and have a bunch of fog roll out to reveal your tasty buds :thumbs-up:

'Course at the rate it would naturally dissolve, you probably wouldn't have THAT big a cloud...

Lion, Dank and CC are on the money. CO2 needs to be present in sufficient levels (1200 ppm is what many gardeners consider necessary for optimum yield) for the entire grow to be useful. Any ventilation will destroy your efforts. Add that the fermentation produces little CO2 (compared to what's needed) and dry ice ain't cheap in amounts that would be needed.....well...you get the picture.

$$ better spent are increasing airflow and lighting until you are maxing out your garden's potential then looking to CO2 to improve.

    cheers,
