Personally I'm moving to high pressure paint pots to try some temperature differential extractions in a closed system. A poor man's Tamisium unit.

 

No shit! Still planning and designing. Haven't gotten to an actual build yet, may never get there. Methinks Foaf was on to something with his Butane vacuum set-up tho. Toughest part is sourcing affordable stainless pots with a high enough pressure rating to run smaller batches. No short cuts on this stuff and I will NOT be posting a DIY if it ever gets built. Too many bozos who'd pick up cheap equipment with a 50 psi rating. THAT would be disastrous.


Rest assured...I have no desire to end up on the news or create a fireball that envelops my home. Mind if I run the design past you once I'm ready to purchase the gear and put it together?

 

Nope. If it needs to be explained then you shouldn't be considering it. man but the risks are obvious.

 

MG, those are the same type of folks who you read about killing themselves with carbon monoxide because they're too stupid to understand that you don't run the generator inside. I swear, there are at least 5-10 reports like that every time we have a major power outage. I've always assumed that the poor clueless folks are only worried about someone steeling their generator so the bring it inside. They also like to run them in the garage with the door shut or only cracked open. Darwinism at it's best.


People who fry whole turkeys on their wooden decks are close second to the generator crowd.
