I have it on good advice thats the way to go... remember my first grow enhanced with Deep Woods OFF???? I stripped those ladies bare and its been my bust yield to date lol..... we shall see

I'm a fan picking and defoliating grower myself.


The last mad shack I grew I removed all the fans one week before I put her in to the flowering. It cause all kinds of explosive growth from the bud sites.


I got 5.6 ounces dried off of a plant that was a little less then 3 feet high and about as wide.


I just cut another one down about the exact same size that I defoliated too. I'll post the dry weight on that one for you in a few more days.

I am very happy to report that the plants are responding very well just overnight. they perked up and are smiling lmao

 

every plant in this room has been defoliated.

Hey AB, I have two LB plants ready to go into the flowering room this weekend. I'll start a grow test thread with both plants. They will be grown naturally, no topping. I'll defoliate one and not the other and do a side by side. :bong-2:

 

If he says it's so, I'm inclined to believe it.

While I will agree that MrGreeJeans grows some mighty fine plants, to stop all argument, it is best to have it documented, especially if one is going against what every grower is taught from day one.

I noticed you were using those pots with bubbles.


You like em? Are they worth it? Why are they better?


I watched a video about a major OP with Mr. Cervantece the grow master.


He says they air the roots better, and doesnt create a Root Bound Wall.


Do you agree?


Also they put hydroton balls, mixed with soil in the pots to create better, air and water flow, and keep roots grasping to the balls. Suggestion

I will attest to them creating a noncircular root ball. the cones alternate between inward and outward facing. The outward facing cones have holes in the tips. The function of inward facing cones is to redirect the root tip towrds the outward facing cone. There by stopping the root from circling. When the tip reaches the hole in the cone it gets air pruned. Causing the tip to die and generating new growth tips all along the existing rootsurface. In my last grow I had two of them going. My pH pen went wacky and I lost that crop but when I disassembled the Air Pots the root mass was very dense and not bound at all. Just roosts going in every direction. The Manufacturer says you can put a layer of Hydroton in the bottom before adding substrate to increase drainage. I think they drain just fine. I like them so far. Im using ROOTS ORGANICS 707 mix with some FFOF added in. The 707 drains pretty well. Having the clay pebbles mixed in would allow faster drainage and decrease amount of nutes in the soil for the plants... Im trying to feed mostly with the soil and beneficials breaking it down...

 

so today I am putting the free kush, lemonberry, and la confidential into the flower cabinet. lets hope we have females lol. They have been vegging for 5 wks... im counting from the time I put them in the party cups til now.
