Kaiser Puff's Franken-closet

Is there a divider or are both setups going to run the same timing ? It'd be nice to break that down into 3 seperate areas one for the cloner one for the tub and one for the vert. You could do a 4-5 week perpetual.


Don't think I'm not entering my hat in your 5 gal bucket challenge. I just found the thread this morning but I have 2 400w lights in a 3x4 area with a 4 outlet air pump sitting vacant. I think I can round up a bucket, net pot lid and some hydroton. I have clones that were back ups for my reset of the rdwc cab so GAME ON...Steelcity

 

Once I flip to flower in the closet I plan to set up a veg area elsewhere, maybe my 4x8 tent though that's a little oversized for that purpose. Then I would like to be able to harvest from the closet every 3-4 weeks or so. If the quarter colli works well 3 of them around a 1k could make a nice little perpetual setup. Very nice work so far. Can't wait to see how your 1/4 colli works out. Also, had a friend who used those sprinkler heads for his grows and he loved them. Told me that he never had issues with the sprayers clogging after he switched from misters to the sprinkler heads.


When looking at the full room shot I don't see the new A/C. How'd you mount it in a closet? And where's your hot exhaust going?

That's encouraging! Good question on the A/C. It's mounted in the bedroom the closet is in. I have the ceiling fan going and a box fan positioned in the doorway blowing in. It keeps the area 2ft under a 400w MH around 68 when the bedroom is 65. I forgot to pack the panda film so I have to order more to black out the bedroom windows, until I get some I've had to open and shut the closet door at lights on/off. Once I expand out into the bedroom I'll have a linen closet available for veg and maybe use my 4 x 8 tent to flip flop the 1k and optimize power consumption... just ideas right now.

 

Some updates, the aerocloner is doing it's duty, True Blueberry showing root nubs in 5 days! Props to DJ Short and the aerocloner! Expecting the rest to show something in the next 3-4 days. On the seed front, 3 Purple Urkle x White Widow seeds got a 24 hr soak in a shot glass and planted into cups of coco. 1 seed had a tail shooting out and is labeled #1 (maybe a vigorous lady, maybe a dude?) Also my seeds from Attitude finally arrived, almost 2 1/2 weeks again... oh well at least they made it 2/2 without buying the guarantee :flyy: I'm starting off with 3 Tangerine Dream seeds that just started their soak. Last is my Sour Skybubble vegging away at 15 days. Thanks for visiting!

Mini update, 2 Purple Urkle x White Widow seedlings, 1 hasn't even shown a taproot and might get tossed tomorrow. 1 Tangerine Dream has a nub poking out, 1 is cracked and 1 is still closed up; So far so good on the Tangerine Dream, I was a little worried from other people having problems with germination but everything seems to be going smoothly. My DWC bucket is chugging along nicely, I have yet to run into deficiencies using CNS17 Bloom start to finish, works nice as a 1 part IME. I run alot of beneficials and humics though so that may be part of it. I might switch up to Dyna-Gro for flowering though, I like low maintenance nutes and their Pro-Tekt is better then Botanicares so I might as well try the base nute while I'm at it.

Awesome, awesome, awesome... Did I mention, awesome. Much props on the setup. Always been interested in seeing one of these verts from start to finish. Needless to say the chair is set-up. Congrats on that root growth outta the aero too!

Mini update, heres the cloner under the hood at 12 days, the roots on the Sour Skybubble really took off with the True Blueberry rooting first but falling behind. Also here's my DWC single at 22 days veg, blowing up quite well, roots are filling the bucket and she's drinking alot of water now. Might be overgrown in 2 weeks at this rate.

Thanks bro! The colli is waiting for plants right now, I'm waiting for a few of the True Blueberry clones to grow out their roots a bit more, maybe a couple days. Also I still need to order a replacement 1k bulb so I probably wont be flipping this closet till the end of next week.

 

My Sour Skybubble has made it to mini-tree size at 33 days. A bushy 2 ft tall with a 3/4 in. thick stalk. So far this standalone DWC is pretty easy to maintain, the only thing is she is already drinking a half gallon a day and flowering hasn't begun. I'm swapping the 400w bulb to HPS and starting 12/12 in the closet today, still waiting for my 1k bulb but that should arrive soon. The MH washes out some green color so I didn't realize how green she was until the light was off. 10-15ml/gal CNS17 Bloom seems to be giving her all she needs.


The QC has been loaded for about a week now, the cuttings are getting acclimated now and look like they are wanting more then the sidelight from the 400w.

watch the dwc bucket, they get VERY top heavy and WILL tip very easily, either the lid will pop off and fall over or the plant will rip out roots and fall over possibly causing a dead plant eventually
