OK fellas!!!


here's the deal. I did another ISO run on sunday morning. Some choice strawberry cough nuggets and some frosty trim. I have no idea the weight as I don't have any scales, but the quart mason jar was a lil over half full. I did a 1 minute wash with 70% alcohol. I think i did a good job. I filtered through 2 coffee filters and evaporated over a boiling pot of water until good 'n dry.


That was Sunday morning. It's now Tuesday evening. I have had the plate on a heating pad on low for 2 days and then off the plate sitting on the counter for the last 1/2 day. it's still a gooey mess of stuff. it's very "hard to handle" if you know what i mean.


I was hopefully expecting it to dry out compared to my last, and first run btw, which i scooped up and smoked in a just a very short time.


by god, i have seen chunks of hash. if this is what i'm gonna get, that's cool, but i'd love some nice soild concentrates.


gonna get some pics up for ya to diagnose the situation, in a bit, if you would please.

just got another tumbler and a bho tube which by far exceeded my expectations and sure beats the hell out of the turkey baster!! now just to let the girls grow so i can use them....hehehe

Now, she's a lil shy, so take it easy. LOL! This is what I have. I placed it over a pot of boiling water in attempt to bubble out any remaining impurities. I placed it on the heating pad for a bit and it is not sitting at room temp. I did smear some of this on a blunt that i rolled up just a bit ago and let me tell ya. wooohoooo!!!!! i have a splitting buzz!!!! It has taken forever to get this posted. SHEW!!!!! It does seem to be solidifying a bit. got my fingers crossed. This pics were taken while the plate was hot and cooling down.whatta you think????

Looks good, and you know that high is incredible!


Wa, are using something to strain the green material prior to filtering through the coffee filters? Or are you pouring the iso/oil and green material into the filters? Just looks a bit dark, that's all. If you're pouring everything into the filter, you're probably getting darker oil because the green matter is sitting in the iso for more than a minute while it drains, you follow me?


Otherwise, looks like you got some more scrapping to do by the looks of that dish.

 

the metal lid on the mason jar has a buncha lil holes poked into it to act as a strainer, so I am not pouring all the plant matter right into the coffee filters. The liquid is strained through that lid before getting to the filters. I think it looks dark as well, compared to what I have seen. It may be a lil lighter than my 1st try, but not a whole lot. There could be some plant matter in there, but it couldn't be much at all.

 

Hey now thought that I would jump in with a Q while on subject.


Ever since I recieved my Okief tube I have been making BHO every other nite.. I am using quality little nugz for my runs.. I am wondering why some peoples runs looks really dark almost black, while mine is turning out golden honey color and is really goey like and after it hardens it turns into a taffy like hardness. I heat my vial up again and it goes back to liquid goo. I run a full can of vector butane 320 ml for each run. Any thoughts guys? Also I empty and repack my tube with fresh nugz each run. Can I do 2 runs out of 1 packed tube?

 

damn it danny. i would LOVE some honey colored concentrate. Man, I gotta get me a BHO tube.

 

ya dude I have heard ppl using 2 cans for 1 run but i have never even used a bho tube so i don't know for sure.

 

GTD, what I have been doing on my BHO (same tube you have) is one can per tube, repack tube multiple times using same pyrex dish. Set aside the material after each run.


Chop up used material with scissors and mix it up a bit, then repack tube multiple times using a second pyrex dish.


The second run isn't quite as good as the first, but still quality.


The first run always seems to butter up better too.

 

Hey guys, just droppin in to see whats shakin... Ive been busy workin and payin bills..I upgraded to a 3000 sq. ft. pad and bills are of course higher hahaha.

I'm glad that I saved my nugz from each run then. I didn't know, I'm glad its still useable.


Also I am using a round type pyrex dish and I have so much oil build up on the sides I cant seem to find the perfect tool to get up in the radius of the dish any suggestions useless. I've even tried a small fine metal puddy knife and it just aint working

 

GTD, the longer and hotter the purge, the darker the oil will get.....in answer to your previous ?. I stopped using the round slanted side pirex dish for the reason you stated. I now use one with steep sides and has a smaller radius. The thinner the razor blade will allow it to flex a bit and get the corners.

 

Hey Greenthumb,I use Palet knifes to scrape up my extracts, there very flexible but stiff enough to scrape up even stiff extracts, there used for oil paints and you can find them at arts and craft stores.

but it act like sugar and taste like burned sugar

1 can (300 ML) is enough for a chief tube.


if the liquid is running clear, you got it all out; if it's still colored, more 'tane.

howdy everyone, just an update//// i have ladies in the netpot cloner, vegging and getting ready to send some to flower shortly....i even donated a dozen for the cause(through a mediary)so i will be back to normal hopefully soon in the gardening dept.....progress on the houses goes slowly but i am fairly happy and content for the most part....grow on!!
