I am. I intended for none of this craziness. If it was so wild of question to render all this...was this even necessary? Honestly, how could I know 'that' would be the overwhelming response, except for one guy? You could have been, oh, I dont know, FRIENDLY GROWERS? I am a web admin, for years. It's simple to go add a forum. 'Unconventional Growing' or the like, with a lil disclaimer for all the purists... but no, you all went this route, which is kinda fucked up. Peace Out.

Alrighty then.... I certainly wasn't trying to be a dick at all. I was trying to be realistic and give you a viable option. If you can't swing $20-$30 for some nutes then you can't. I get that. I am NOT a rich kid for sure. I live in a dilapidated 40 year old mobile home riddled with termites and no carpet. I barely keep the lights on myself. However I still allow myself enough money to get the basics for my grow. I can't afford the fancy high end fert lines that cost hundreds of dollars for all 12 parts or whatever but I can swing a few bucks to try and do it right.

Now to the MG products you have on hand. If you know which one is vegetative nutes meaning it has a higher N concentration that P and K use that for vegetative. Depending on how big your plants are will determine the strength to use. MG is notoriously strong so mix it at half strength and see how the plants respond. Just be careful not to overdo it. Same thing goes for flowering side of things. Use the one with high P and K for flowering but again start out with 1/2 strength and work up. If you start seeing N curl on the leaves or burnt tips or curled or burnt leaf edges back off and flush with plain water and lower the strength a bit. There is no way I can tell you exactly to add this much or that much of one or the other without knowing exactly what we're working with. Also plants are individuals like people some like it strong and others weaker so you'll have to watch the plants and respond accordingly by upping or lowering the strength of your nutrient solution.

Now I'm not really sure what you were getting at with your little explanation of crystalline and powdered vs liquid compounds and your comment "Chemistry 101 bud. LOL" If it was a dig at me I would like to say I never took chemistry but I could still outgrow you anytime, with or without shitty MG nutes! LOL :smokin:

Now I have given you an answer pertaining to your MG nutes and how to use them, but I will say that you sir came across as just as much of a jerk as anyone who responded to this thread, like you said, you get what you give right? :smokin:

I'm so rich I have other people write my responses. Especialy to people that act like a dick.

    Hey, stop that.

Screw buddy. This is what you pay me for.

But you can't call him a dick.

Why not? It's you who'll get in trouble.

    You prick. STOP IT!!!

Everybody breathe, please. Perhaps a simple answer wasn't best, my apologies. I (and a few others here) have a habit of being rather terse.

Why I told you to shit can the salt based (crystalline) ferts is in your first post you stated you weren't sure of manufacture. Rule one; Never put anything in your garden that you aren't exactly sure of it's composition.

Also, once moist, MG and similar dry ferts will precipitate either gaining concentration after drying (loss of carrier mass) or losing in potency (particularly precipitation of Phosphates) depending on how long they were allowed to remain moist and type of container. This makes any actual calculation for fert dosage sketchy at best. In a situation where the final product is literally worth its weight in gold does the investment of $5 into a fresh box of MG or $30-$40 into a simple emulsion product seem outrageous?

MG does work well. It can grow some amazing bud if used correctly. Throw out the junk re-dried stuff and get some fresh Schultz or MG then knock yerself out. We dig seeing grows done on the cheap. It's actually how most of us started out (cheap gear, cheap ferts and sketchy ventilation).

Again, take the advice or not, your choice. It ain't my garden so any negative impact has no bearing on my life or garden(s). Just trying to save you the loss of time and effort if things go awry. You may do great...but the risk of failure is heightened by use of inferior products with unknowable concentrations.

As for experience....my gardens speak for themselves. I'm a rookie and will probably consider myself one for quite a few more years. The craft is ever changing and improving with more than one botanist of the opinion that cannabis growers are the elite gardeners of this generation. Considering that....most of us will forever be rookies.

    Best of luck.
