Ras, I guess you were talking about me being offensive? I stand behind every word. I don't know your specifics, not that it matters but yea I take offense to busting my ass every day to pay for others to sit on theirs. Yea that's one thing in life that gets to me. Someone that depends on me working shouldn't have it easier than i do. To me it's fucked up to think any different. Why the fuck should someone that doesn't do anything have more than someone working 60+ hours a week? Thats offensive to even think that.


I worked my way up in a company that I now run. It wasn't easy and thought about leaving many many times over the years. But I have mouths to feed, so I busted my ass and proved myself over and over again until I was finally promoted to the top. No one gave me that, I earned that shit.


So you think I'm an asshole for being pissed about others that think they shouldn't have to work hard in life and should have what I have, or have more than what I have??? Are you serious?? I'm offensive because I say that it's bullshit for me to spend money on other people's kids because they don't want to? MY kids should go without, even though I don't get to see them about 4-5 days a month because I'm traveling, because someone else doesn't want to work....and I'm being offensive? Hopefully that's not what you meant...because I have a real problem with that. I don't mind helping people, but I do mind people just taking. Imagine if everyone was like that....then what would anyone have?


FF, that's exactly what those benefits are in place for. IT's not in place because you don't want to work, or you popped out to many kids, or you just don't feel like working....it's for people that either can't work cause they actually are hurt or they need someone to help them out for a few so they can make ends meat and become a productive member of society. IT was never meant to be a lifestyle, it's meant to help people in need.

Ras if I offended you because of what I said, I apologize, unless you think this is ok, because shit like this is exactly what pisses me off. I've made sacrifices to get where I am in life, I continue to make sacrifices and miss things in my childrens lives so I can provide for them.


So if I mistook what you were saying, I apologize, but if you think people like this is ok, then yea I absolutely have a problem with it. It's wrong. For someone like this to think for some reason I should have to slave away in life and people like this think they are better than me and shouldn't have to sacrifice is bullshit.

From a UK perspective we pay into the system so when the hard times fall then your damn right we will take back out of the system.Of course theres jackasses who abuse the system but for every story like that above i could highlight another of an honest guy on hard times who is struggling to make ends meet. Theres a CULTURE over here in the UK of families growing up abusing our welfare system. I could take you to any scheme in the UK and dig out a 3rd generation dole buldger. But i could also take you to areas devastated by austerity or industrial closures that kill towns dead. People lose hope,give up. Id still seriously protests if the UK ever decided to scrap the welfare state. It does more good than harm would be my opinion on the matter. The right wing media will ALWAYS sensationalize this shit,they always gonna pull some guy like this out the hat but wheres the stories on the families with no jobs to get,they look but cant get a job.They live on welfare and they cant survive on it. Theres always a flipside man. A lot of these people get trapped by debt and lack of work to the point it becomes EASIER to live on welfare and lose nothing than work and lose everything. Am i saying thats right,hell no. But blame the govt for not putting enough jobs out there and for creating an enviroment where people feel safer not working. You need to look deeper at the mechanics of the system. :2c:

I saw that last night right before I posted and shit like that pisses me off. I've made real sacrifices in life. I've missed plays and things like that (which seems minor but I'm really involved in my kids lives) because I had to work or go out of town.


I posted that video to be clear on what I was talking about, so if Ras doesn't agree with that then we are the same page. I wasn't trying to attack him personally, just was attacking the mindset that shit should be free, and that people like me are somehow suckers for busting our ass.


And about the foodstamp thing, I think I made it clear, I have no problem helping people out. I know some people fall on hard times and they do deserve help. I'm not saying those people are any less of a person than I am. I would never think down on someone that legit fell on hard times and just need a helping hand to get their shit together. Like I said earlier that's what the programs are for. Hell I could go out tomorrow and get hit by a car and I would hope that society would help my wife and kids until she got on her feet.


But the people that choose to abuse the system like the video I linked pisses me off. It really does. He acts like it's owed to him, he hasn't any problems except that he doesn't want to work. I have a problem with that. That is a huge problem in this country.


Personal Responsibility goes a long way in life. Our kids need to be taught this. Be responsible for your actions.


And once again, to make clear, Ras if you felt that I was going after you, , but if you read what I wrote, I mean what I say. I am attacking the mindset that I should pay for able bodied people to sit on their ass. Or I should have to pay for someone else's kids because daddy isn't in the picture and she doesn't want to go after him for child support.


If you still don't understand what I am saying, then I really don't know what to say. I have zero problems with these programs as it's a tough economy. But I do have a problem with people like the video linked to. It's a small minority of the people on the gov payroll, but in my eyes they shouldn't be allowed to collect a dollar.
