I suppose it depends upon where you are as well. Masons are more entrenched in some areas than others. For instance, every President and Vice President of the United States has been a high ranking mason. That has more to do with civic duty being a principle of the lodge than a conspiracy. Where I live now I have seen no sign of a strong lodge presence but in the small town in IL that I came from pretty much all the local politicians as well as the judges and police leadership were masons. There are reasons people might not like the masons, the core lodge still discriminates based on race and gender. Aside from that I happen to agree with many of the principles of the lodge. These include selfless charity, service to society, the rule of law, etc. I sent out feelers to the local lodge but I should have joined where I moved from. Here I just don't have the locals to sponsor me to join the lodge. There are just too many people who want to join for personal gain.
I don't know about anywhere else, but most of the men with money in Oklahoma belong to either the Mason's and/or the Shriners. I'm very low on the Masonic totem pole, but my father-in-law, and most of our business partners are very high up.
JKP + Politics And Religion Responses = Disagreements As The Beatles Once Sang ; " LED It Be " Both My Father And Great Grandfather Were Masons ( My Grandfather Was Very High Up There , And Influenced My Headmaster To Spare No Mercy With The Cane If I Did Anything Naughty ) " It's Not What You Know , It's WHO You Know " Each To Their Own, I'm A Cannabist , And I'm Kind L.E.D It Go, And Let Live  ( My Final Thoughts On The Matter ) JKP

Thanks lukesmommy ; It Looks Like I'll Be Growing Indoors Again This Winter ( I Currently Only Use The Big Halide In The Sky ; Outdoors ) A Cannabis Plant Can Absorb 4000 Watts of The Sun's Energy For Nothing . Here In The U.K Electricity Costs Have Risen By 40% In The Last Year , Making My Old 1200 Watt Set Up Non Efficient I Shall Be Buying The 180 Watt Spectrabox For Flower , And Use T5 Sunblaster Fluoros For Veg Cycle Joe
Still not buying it JKP. $750 for a light that only flowers 9 plants at a time and has yet to prove it produces dense tight flowers? Huh-uh. The cost for me in the U.S. running an "equivalent" 600w HID for a couple grows a year is under $200. With the LED panel you're looking at an energy bill that should be $60. It will take 4 years to recoup the intitial outlay and the results published using "affordable" LED sets to date are far from definitive. Here's a BIG deciding factor for me....If these are so very efficient AND effective, why aren't the big grow houses or Breeders using them? Personally, I'd like to see a cross section of the buds in the pics. I think we've all seen buds that LOOK big but have no density. Just my two pennies worth.
Consider Yourself Lucky ResinRubber Maybe You Would Be More Open minded ( No Offence ) If You Had To Pay £24.00 A Week ( I Don't Know , Is That $36.00 A Week For 2 x 600 HPS Lamps ), Not Including Veg Lamps And fans , Etc , Etc JKP
Big Grow Houses And Breeders Grow Outdoors In Polytunnels All Along The Iberian Coast And In Switzerland , And Belize ( No Electric Bill ) And Many Have Switched To Sulpher Plasma , Like These http://www.plasma-international.com When I Bought My First Book In 1982 ( By Ed Rosenthaal And Mel Frank ) It Hardly Mentioned H.I.D Lighting At All ( In Fact It Promoted Low Pressure HPS Lamps And Mercury Vapour More Than It Did High pressure Sodiums ) Times Have Changed , And Now You Have Outfits Like These http://www.vb1000.com And http://www.lifelighttech.com Evolution , Progression , Call it What You Will Only CFL's Are A Step Backwards ( You Cannot Accuratly Measure P.A.R , Or Service , Or Even Safely Dispose Them Without Mercury Contamination ) May Your Joules Overfloweth Jus My Thruppenth :laughing1: JKP
JPK, who pays you your commission? Your flogging a dead horse. Them pics proved you can grow small plants with LED's. They cost a fortune. The energy saving isnt that great. As RR said it will take years to recoup the intital costs and there penetration sucks balls. You show me a 5 foot plant with 4 oz of weed on it thats nice and tight and was grown under LED's (only), with an initial outlay of £200 and ill start listening! Until then LED's are a trekkies wet dream!!!!!!
Ungodly expensive, unavailable to most growers and has rapidly moving parts. All work against them for most gardens. Question, if breeders and large ops are spending coin for suplhur plasma why not save $$ (it is a business after all) and use LED's? Unless of course the LED's aren't yet up to snuff for commercial use. Had the same book. My first indoor was floro tube and it was touted then as a viable light source for an entire grow. But HID's PROVED their value by increasing yields dramatically while not increasing expense overdramatically. Something LED's have yet to do. With HID's the bang for the buck was obvious and prices further dropped to make it affordable to the average grower. Agreed, progress marches on. LED and plasma tech has not reached us at a level that is acceptable for the $$ outlay vs performance. Doesn't mean it won't. Just not there yet. You got a little messianic quest going on to change the standard? BTW the chemo/chronic/haze link you sent wouldn't work. Can you drop it in a PM? cheers,
U.F.O - 120 Watt = 600 Watt HPS- £120.00 Well , The Price On The Much Hyped ( In Canada ) LED , The U.F.O Does Anyone Have A Current Price These Are Going For In Canada ?? Seems Awfully Cheap Considering They Are The Same Lights , But Radically Cheaper Even The £280.00 Big Box Seems To Be A Good Deal Compared To Canadian Prices Normally Everything In The U.K Is Double The Price Of That In Canada ( Apart From Bread ?? ) Anyways , Does Anyone Have A Price , Or Better , A Canadian Link Thanks Joe
