I also have to say Res is 100% right. You support trump, you might as well be the water boy for the swat team.
Well I'll tell you one thing, I ain't no water boy. I would still like to know who you think should be President? Clinton? You make me laugh. There are at least a hundred reasons why she would be a worse President than Trump will ever be. I never want to suppress anybody's opinion. Say what you want, when you want. If someone doesn't give you that right, what right do they have to say anything? This goes in both directions....If you have your mind made up, calling somebody an asshole over the way that they think will not win someone over to the other side. It will just reinforce their believes. You believe you are right, he believes he is right, I believe I am right (and we are all together. The Beatles just broke out in my head) she believes she is right and they believe they are right. The wrong ones are the ones who think that only their opinion is the right one. Also the, ah, 35% is WAY off. If not for LA, New York City and Philadelphia, Trump would have won the popular vote also. And (Starting a sentence like this would have got me put on the dunce seat for the day) that is why we have the electoral college (although the elector's shouldn't be able to "give" a win to the person they "think" should be the winner) really screwed Sanders by giving my state to Hillary even though Sanders kicked her ass here. This is not what 35% looks like.
Oh yeah, I forgot. If you are on Team Hillary you may as well be in jail with her. She should never be forgiven for all the wrongs she has done.
At least you admit he didn't win the popular vote. Something he won't admit himself. OK stick, you can lace up their combat boots if being the water boy isn't to your liking. Seriously dude how can you not see that supporting sessions is supporting kicking growers doors in? As for numbers: less than half the population of the US voted in the 2016 election. Trump lost the popular vote. He actually was put in office by less than 25% of the population of the US.
I couldn't care less about the ones who didn't vote. Trump blames the illegal voters for him losing the popular vote and I can see his point. If an illegal has a drivers license, which MANY of them do ( a rep from California even said half of his family is illegal and have licenses) they can vote because that's all you need to vote. The license doesn't say whether you are here legal or not so in a state like Cali, Texas and so forth could easily have illegal voters as I'm sure they do. Fuck Sessions. He's not the guy I voted for. I don't remember his name being on the ballot. He will only follow the laws as they are written. Do you remember that the great and powerful Obama had doors kicked in as well as dispensary's even after it was legal in those states? Do you really think any of them really give a shit about you or me?
LV,Now you're just calling people out, like a drunk in a bar.... Stay on topic.. It's about Chief Littlehands, i think people were voting up or down...
Brilliant! Manipulate the rules to circumvent them. Just what I want in the leaders of my country. If Sticky can pull off a coup against trump and lead the 35% (?) to the promised land, I'll follow. So long as we create a National Holiday where we tar and feather and run out of town on a rail Trump and Kushner. Every year on Tar and Feather Day we hunt down Trump and his yes-men and tar and feather them on national TV. And eat turkey. If not Trump I still don't know who, but I know one thing. NOT TRUMP, not pence, sessions, tillerson, or any of the govporation creeps he's got around him.
What are you talking about? I am basically answering questions and asking my own. Giving my point of view. If by staying on topic you want me to start fighting or arguing about "strawman theories " or tell them they are full of shit or do you want me to just roll over and say "Gee, you're right. I'm sorry I tried to use my own brain and think for myself." I forgot that that doesn't seem to be allowed any more. I'll have to start watching CNN and MSNBC. Oh crap, I just puked.
I have yet to see the post "My opinion is..." instead I get jeers and nonsense from the trump crowd here. Amazing that there is a trump crowd on a grow forum. I have always valued interpersonal relationship harmony more than any political ideal. This is why I have never spoken out in as loud and strident a voice as I am now. Problem is that way of being lets the loudest voice win every time. Too much at stake now. Here's my fear: Trump takes one of the federal law enforcement agencies and builds his own army. ICE agents??? This sounds like a STORM trooper to me. Seriously i am amazed no one else has commented on the fact that we have a whole new type of cop out there, with a very creepy name. Until Trump, anybody ever hear of an ICE agent? nope. "While Attorney General Jeff Sessions was making headlines on Tuesday testifying before a Congressional committee regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election, another controversy erupted over cannabis laws. In the May 1 letter, first unveiled on Monday night by Tom Angell at Massroots, Sessions claims the policy under the Obama administration “inhibits [the Justice Department’s] authority to enforce the Controlled Substances Act.” Sessions, in his letter to Congress, writes: “I believe it would be unwise for Congress to restrict the discretion of the Department to fund particular prosecutions, particularly in the midst of an historic drug epidemic and potentially long-term uptick in violent crime. The Department must be in a position to use all laws available to combat the transnational drug organizations and dangerous drug traffickers who threaten American lives.” The memo is a broadside attack on the Rohrabacher-Farr Amendment, which bars the Justice Department from using federal funds to enforce marijuana laws in states that have passed legalization. Sessions, who has been one of the most ardent drug warriors in recent American history (he is on record saying “good people don’t smoke marijuana), is wrong on multiple levels. His letter disrespects a number of Americans and is simply not rooted in science. He also appears to be ignoring the will of the people, thumbing his nose at states’ rights and denying a booming new industry." SUCKERS
"The reason I cain't answer yer questions is because I've got a HUGE load of Trump's manchowder in ma mouth."
Nip is a big boy and has his position. When stepping into a thread that is obviously going to be hostile to a position he holds dear he should be prepared for some incoming fire. Agreement or acceptance is most likely not going to happen. It'd be like me going to a pro 2nd Amendment website and trashing DJT and the repubs. I should expect no quarter and would give no quarter. The expectation should be one of brutal disagreement from the thread participants because I stepped into their playground. There is NO safe space. Speak your mind, be forceful. Make people think. Make sure people know there are consequences for making arguments or forming opinions without knowing their shit. My Trump friends make sure I know they think I'm nuts for having backed Bernie. I read their memes, get their forwarded e-mails, listen to the distortions get passed around as if they were fact. I bitched when Billy Clinton was tearing apart banking regulations that had been working for 50 years and deregulated Wall Street. I screamed when Obama's AG, Eric Holder, issued a memo that increased raids and prosecutions on state legal producers and suppliers of cannabis. When I did my Clintonite friends and Obama-blinders friends made the same crappy excuses the Trumpies do now. If we sit and be nice we get walked on and the loudest yeller wins. Why the hell should anybody shut up and let the vocal minority gain more power? It's to our own detriment to do so. It was our yelling and embarrassing Obama and the dems that forced the Rohrabacher amendment after Attorney General Holder's despicable memo and actions. So Nip, if you're reading this, toughen up son. Back your case and be prepared for brutal disagreement. .... or start your own DJT friendly thread.
Lvs- The mistake is assuming people who are against Donnie Tiny Hands are/were supporters of Hillary. Bad assumption. If that were the case she would have won. I promise you, if Hillary had won I'd be ripping her minions just as harshly because we'd simply have a different set of problems to deal with. The Pres is DJT. The die has been cast. Any continued stone throwing at Hillary or her supporters is simply firing into the air because it feels good and is easy. They have little power any more and are not the cause of the bullshittery we're experiencing from the current Administration. If you defend your vote because it was against a Clinton, that's very valid. But once the election was over, using her as an excuse to continue support for DJT is not relevant. His actions from the first day of his Presidency stand or fall on their own merit.
What is Nippie's position? What logic other than "join the winning team" came out of all his bullshit posts? What? Aside from "stop watching CNN???" HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY I DON"T WATCH CNN? FUCKING IDIOCY. The VAST MAJORITY of people in the US think Trump is an embarrassment. Get over your vote guilt. Hillary, as corrupt as she is, would have been WAY better. Bernie might have even made a difference, though I'm not sure.
Point is, neither Bernie or Shillary are President. They are both, for the moment, largely irrelevant and only useful as a distraction. Right now we have a mitt full of corporate sucking nutjobs running both parties while they let the extremes try to make gotcha points every news cycle. Did you catch the Aus. PM Turnbull's little skit at a press roast? Here's the audio. How much of a fuck do you think he gives about DJT's opinion on anything? When Prince Tiny Hands needs to call on our ally Australia in an international negotiation, do you think they'll take him seriously? ....hillary would fuck you just as bad as DJT. She'd just try and be halfway nice about it. Like Obama dropping over 12,000 bombs on Syria but people shit when DJT drops like 59? Obama smiled while he did it. That's what we'd gotten more of from Hillary. Bombs with a smile.
Supermo: Until Trump, anybody ever hear of an ICE agent? nope. ICE was formed in 2002 and Obama used them a lot. You should be more informed about the history and maybe you would understand other people's view point. Or maybe not. You should just keep rambling on and being hypocritical just like the far left is and stay uninformed. Res: "The mistake is assuming people who are against Donnie Tiny Hands are/were supporters of Hillary" Nope. My "assumption" is that she was the only other one on the ballot. SuperMo: I have yet to see the post "My opinion is..." I thought by me posting made it clear that these were my opinions. I didn't realize I had to make that clear and announce it. THESE ARE MY OPINIONS. Is that clear enough? You also won't be changing them any time soon ( just as I imagine I won't be changing yours.) See that's one of the things that make this country great. That's why elections are here. You have you view point, I have mine. Res: "Any continued stone throwing at Hillary or her supporters is simply firing into the air because it feels good and is easy." No. It's because of the hypocrisy that people never bitched about what her or Obama did yet feel the need to jump all over Trump for basically doing some of the same things or even trying to clean up their messes. SuperMo: Get over your vote guilt. Hillary, as corrupt as she is, would have been WAY better. Definitely not guilty. Same candidates today and I'd vote the same way. And then, whooops here comes the puke again. Get real. I guess this goes back to how you should know what these people did and what they stand for. Mytwhyt: "LV,Now you're just calling people out, like a drunk in a bar.... Stay on topic.. It's about Chief Littlehands, i think people were voting up or down..." .....and that's not calling people out like a drunk in a bar. If I did that I would have called someone a douche bag or an asshole which is how I would get things going in a bar if I was drunk. On that note I guess I'll just stick to my opinions and leave this discussion. I'll still be following this thread but I'll try to keep my big fat fingers to be quiet. Supermo....you should learn a little more of the way things in Washington have been run for last 30 years or more.
Again, The current Administration in the White House stands on it's own. What Hillary was/is or will be is not what we're dealing with today. Lots of us bitched about Hillary. She lost an election she was slated to win because the Dem base would not get behind a Wall Street hugging political insider. Lots of people bitched about Obama, or did you miss the Obama effigies being hung at anti-Obama rallies after he was elected? She was not the only other person or group on the ballot, she was the only other candidate with a chance to win. But a rehash of why people voted the way they did does nothing to move us to a better place today. Did you vote for a Department of Energy head who's credentials are being an ex-governor and having an Ag degree? There's a reason every other DoE head has been a nuclear physicist or accomplished scientist. That's because it's wise to have somebody who understands nuclear physics in charge of the nuclear stockpile. It's Trump's Right as sitting President to attempt to dismantle the DoE. But at least have the sense to appoint a nuclear scientist to the position so they have the capability to understand exactly what the impacts are of reassigning the specific duties of nuclear stockpile oversight. It's moves like this that erode any credibility DJT may have had for being able to responsibly enact the reforms he claimed he'd make. If he wants changes, fine. He won. But please appoint responsible knowledgeable people to do the work. Is that too much to ask? How things work in Washington the past 30 years? That's easy. The mega wealthy get wealthier. Corps buy lobbyists who contribute to PACS for favoritism and special tax treatments or corporate welfare for their clients. The pols use that luchre to ensure a 90% re-election rate and deepen their hold on the money train. The middle income sector shrinks and loses ground. The economically distressed are ignored unless it's a handout from corporate dems with a tiny shred of conscience left after fucking them in favor of corp welfare so many times. So it's money money money. The solution? Support a corporate giant in office who appoints more corporate giants as staff to work within a political system bought and owned by corporations to act on their best behalf. Seems to me there's no America or working poor or help for mainstreet in that equation. Again, hate Hillary. She deserves it. But she is not the problem at this time. DJT is.
Which part? Something reminded me of this scene from Mel Brooks today. Seems somewhat prescient. I imagine "harumphing with the Pres."
I dunno that's just my default disposition Slow news week. Just a tweet from the president that says he is under investigation, followed by denial of that statement by his lawyer. And the Republicans in Congress taking their ball into a conference room and not letting the Democrats play. And the Democrats stomping their feet and yelling for the teacher. Surreal.
