We're utilizing 2 rooms. 1 for vegetative plants, and 1 for flowering. In the flowering room there are 5 1k watt HPS lamps. In the Vegetative room there are 2 1k watt MH lamps and a 400 watt T12 Fluorescent fixture made of shoplights. The rooms are nowhere near dialed in yet though.

I'm having trouble controlling temps! WTF?? I have a huge window A/C unit and last night it was cold and rainy outside so the A/C unit wasn't kicking on the compressor for some reason? The room was getting into the upper 80's low 90's at times! I gotta get this figured out. What would make a brand new A/C unit not run the compressor? Even if the room is at 90 degrees? Is it cuz the air outside the house was like 40 degrees? I dunno?

I'm getting all new reflectors (that seal properly) for the flowering room today or tomorrow along with my Smart Pots and then we'll be pretty much ready to try a run in the flood table. I'm thinking that 32 plants isn't enough for the 4x8 table. I might do 64 next run. I DO need to get the temps under control though.

Sounds like a thermostat issue of some sort, I wonder if you can make an external type that you could put further away from your ac unit.....sounds like the cooler air is keeping it from turning ON

I know in some homes that Ive lived in, I had to move the thermostat to get the houses heat to even out, HVAC is an art form

The unit is brand spanking new and has been working, so I checked the owner's manual to see why it might not be working. It said the temp sensor tube could be touching or too close to the cold coil, I checked and straightened it a bit. The temp in the room being below 60 degrees F. can cause the compressor to not run, but the temp in the room was well above that. I dunno why it wasn't working right. I added a couple more fans to move more air around to avoid any hot spots. Today is sunny and warm so I dunno if the outside weather plays a role or not. I fired up all 5 lights today and am testing to see if the room stays within the set range of temp with all the lights running.

Okay update time. I have learned why my A/C unit was not working sometimes and it's thanks to Midnight Garden. SO for now I am advancing the light schedule to run during the day and the A/C works great. At night when temps outside were dropping say below 50 degrees or so the compressor won't run in order to avoid it freezing up. Temps are looking good for now.

I got new reflectors by Hydrofarm Xtrasun6 and they are supposed to be a sealed reflector but after installing them I realized that although they do seal better than the old ones that they still don't seal completely. Guess that's what I get for going cheap! I'm gonna eventually get their better reflectors but these will have to suffice for now. With a little Gorilla Tape I sealed the edges that leaked. Hopefully that will help my Co2 last longer. I also installed insulated ducting to contain as much of the exhausted heat as possible. Seems to be working great.

The Super Silver Haze girls are at 59 days of 12/12 and should be finishing in another 7-10 days. I started the flush and they are obviously looking very deficient know eating up all of the fans. They look a little worse for wear since they weren't perfect with the nutes early on but they DO look good still. Plenty of trichomes and very, very dense buds. They look physically thicker and a bit bigger than previous grows with this strain so I think that just the last month of them getting Co2 helped up my yields, I guess we'll see.

I added a Strawberry Cough and 2 Cotton Candy Kush plants into the flower room. They are about a week in and looking nice and lush. No ferts needed with the soil I used. They are in 3 gal. pots. Should make some nice bushes.

I put all the Lemonberry plants into the flower room a week or so ago, you can check that thread for those pics and update info.

Soooooo without any further blabbing on and on with boring textual info, here are the pics. Enjoy.....:passsit:

Ya mon! Irie, bless up bredren! You and I both would definitely be growing some fine Cali Buds my friend. Thanks for your warm words. Sounds like an epic trimming session you just put in. I hope I can handle all teh trimming coming my way.

RKinG- The Strawberry Cough is one of those strains that I can't verify any lineage and it came from a bagseed essentially. So we call it SC but I dunno for sure. It grows super stretchy and long internode spacing. Gets big dense resinous flowers that do taste light and somewhat fruity with a hint of sourness. Smells piney and sweet. High is about 7 out of 10 but overall it gets an 8.5 from me. Quite pleasant smoke, sativa dominant high, very motivating and awake. Cerebral and great for allowing creativity to flow.

Bigbud214-I know you would my man. Sometime down the road we will chill and smoke our finest together my friend and just chat about cultivation for hours. :passsit:

    So onto the update:

I have the whole new room fired up and running. All 5k watts HPS are now being used. We have the 8 SSH finishing up, now in their last week (Pics of them later maybe) The 7 Lemonberry, 2 Cotton Candy Kush in soil as well a a Strawberry Cough in soil, plus we just added 30 Cotton Candy Kush plants into the 4x8 table. I put them into 2 gal. smart pots filled with hydroton. The res is just plain water at the moment I am gonna get some nutrients added in today or tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes well with them from here on out. I snapped a few pics to share.

    The roots look healthy.

Thanks for the heads up on the SC. I am growing one now to I can neither confirm nor deny as a friend of mine gave it to me. Some kind of an AK mix with Kush. Whatever it is it looks delish. Like the table set up, one day I'll venture in hydro..... one day.

No problem RKinG I liked the pheno I have aside from the internode spacing and extra stretch but the buds were great.

Soooooo, I was doing some looking at the Super Silver Haze girls under the microscope and it's a good thing I did a good flush cuz at 9 weeks they are finished. Trichs are 20% amber 78% cloudy and 2% clear so I am chopping them all tonight. This time I will be chopping them and stripping all the large fans and trimming as much as I can fresh but in order to avoid having it all finish drying at different times I will be allowing them to dry as I trim. I may give them a quick rough trim and go back for a final trim as they dry I dunno, I'm about to go tackle it in a couple hours when mrsganjah gets home. Harvest pics will follow soon. Here are a couple pics I snapped this afternoon of a couple buds looking ready to be picked!
