LOL, MRGJ, it isn't all it's cracked up to be. Markets flooded, everyone and their grandmother is growing some kind of shitty Kush, prices have dropped drastically. A lot of "clubs" are not co-ops/collectives and don't work with outside vendors. (Illegal btw, the law was written to allow co-ops and collectives, not for-profit businesses). A lot of the collectives/co-ops need you to leave meds on consignment, not bad if you trust the collective, otherwise it can be a gamble.


Hell I have been sitting on a 1/2 lb of some Pre 98 Bubba Kush that's purple as fuck, coated in trikes and I can't fucking give it away. In the kush craze days, OGK would fetch anywhere between $4500-$6000 a lb, the Bubba about $4500-$5000. Regular non kush dank strain never got below $3600 lb. After the hype died down a bit, prices leveled off at about $4000 for OGK and $3600 for Bubba. Currently with the influx of every fucking person in the country that sees green gold in them thare hills, OGK's are fetching a modest $3200-$3600, and Bubba $3000-$3200. That's single pack price too. Most places want min of 1-2 lbs. and a lot are looking at only 5 packs now. 5 pack prices, knock another 200-400 off per lb.


It's ridiculous.

I feel ya on every single point. I've been having this conversation with my partner lately. Prices are down. How about some outdoor? I know a grower that is still sitting on more than 1/2 of his outdoor harvest from last year. He can't give it away.

Start of week 9 update.


Did a resy change this morning and the flush starts today. It's the start of week 9 and I think they will finish at 10 weeks, so that will give me a full 14 day flush. They look pretty good. Big dense SUPER STICKY buds. They smell so sweet! I think 'm going to get my biggest yield to date. I was hoping for at least 2 pounds but it looks like more than that to me. I guess we'll see.

yeah..... . I think it's an artistic trait to constantly self doubt and feel like I have never done a good enough job. I'm my own worst critic all the time. I constantly beat myself up over lots of things. Sometimes I DO need to hear that things look good and make sure that my perspective is not skewed or biased in either direction.

Yeah this will be the first Official harvest from the new room. I can't wait either! :thumbs-up:

they are some seriously sticky plants. My arms were sooo sticky after just taking a couple plants out of the table for photos and putting them back, my arm hairs looked like they were gelled to stick up!

Thanks brother, they smell soo damn good. You should come over when I harvest them and take a look. :thumbs-up: I have some of the biggest buds I have ever grown. Some are as big around as pint sized mason jars! I'm soo stoked on the results I am getting.

I think I have the basics down, thanks to you. It wasn't an absolutely perfect run, but I am more than happy with the results. I do think I can do better though. :thumbs-up:

The Grow looks fab (as always!), Ras. Ever since I took that ONE good macro shot, I havent been able to get a good one, since. I dont know what Im doing wrong....sigh.

Thank you Dix, you guys are too nice. I am nowhere as good a grower as I want to be or as some of the others here at GK, but I am trying. :thumbs-up:


On the Macro pics.... Here is what I recommend. Set the camera for macro and forced flash. zoom the lens in (assuming your camera has some zoom capabilities) just a little. Now position the camera in from of the bud about 2" away and press the shutter button halfway down so that the camera can focus. You should see either a little light, or an emblem on the display or hear a beep or any combination of those to indicate that the camera is in focus, then press the shutter button all the way don the rest of the way without releasing it after it has focused. It takes a few shots. Sometimes I have to move the camera back just a bit.... And in those trichome shots I put up. What I did was get the best Macro I could and then on my computer I cropped it and zoomed in on the trichomes to get that blown up shot of them. Hope that helps.


A little update for you guys with pics:


I harvested the 2 Cotton Candy Kush plants that I had flowering in soil. They were about a week and a half to 2 weeks ahead of the hydro ones. They look pretty good. The buds are big and super sticky and smell sooooooo sweet like candy it's ridiculous! Here are a few shots. They went right about 10 weeks.


These pics are of the taller of the 2 plants and it was only topped once and grew bigger colas than the other plant.





Topped out at about 3 ft. tall.
