LOL was justgonna say i cant do the bowl but i can deff. smk this bat bizzle for ya! shit looks nice bro!
Oops... I needed to let anyone who wants to follow my recipe for the Alaska ferts that in my earlier post (above) I said tsp. when I meant to say Tbsp. So please make that adjustment. I can't edit the original post for some reason so I quoted the original and wanted to let everyone know that It's Tablespoons and not teaspoons per gallon. All the numbers are right.:thumbs-up:
Ras thanks for the clarification. My plants seem to be doing better the yellowing stopped. So ill see how the next week goes...
Sweet! Glad to hear that things are working out for you. You seem to have a pretty firm grasp on the basics and with the ability to take constructive criticism and to learn from mistakes, you'll do very well my friend. Keep updating your grow, I'll be watching, I expect to see some great things. P.S. you gotta get the pics down. It really helps when you can post decent pics. A cheap digital cam is probably less than $50 these days and that's all you need for posting pics here anyway. The super high resolution cameras take pics that are way to big of a file size to upload anyway. Get a cheapie with a flash and a macro setting. The cheapest one you can find at wal mart or better yet hit up craigslist.
I know, its embarrassing... I don't have a home computer, so that's the hurdle. I'm a student, I live by myself and money is tight between rent, living expenses and paying for medicine its kinda hard to make purchases like that. But I'm definitely getting a computer in the next few months when I see how much of my school money is left. So until then I have to use my blackberry. But I do appreciate the help Ras, I kinda look up to you like my MJ mentor lol asssit:
Aww your makin me blush... but not really!! I know how it is. Truly!, it's rough in the streets! :thumbs-up: You're doing fine and props for even being as active as you are from your Blackberry. I can't do shit on my phone, all I can figure out is how to view the forum but I can't log in let alone post a video so props brother!:good job:
Think of it this way Sho, after you learn to grow your own the expense of buying weed will be gone forever. Think how much $$$ will be staying in your pocket! grow on young head.
Ras- I'm just appreciative that I can even be apart of GK from my blackberry, a blessing in disguise! Res- yea I know. Hopefully after this grow its gonna make a lot of things more possible
White Widow #4 got the Chop!! So after a trich check on the White Widow #4 she looked ready to me. I always look for the trichomes to be 0%-5% Clear, 75%-80% Cloudy, 15%-25% Amber. This girl looked to be 5% Clear, 75% Cloudy, and 20% Amber. She was the first of the 4 White Widow seedlings I have going to finish. She took 9 weeks exactly and I'm pretty happy with that, not too long of a flowering time. She had fairly indica growth traits, staying short and stocky with minimal stretch at flowering. Nice large dense buds that smell amazing, sort of piney with a strong ammonia (cat piss) smell with a hint of something sweet at the end. She looks very beautiful as well being very photogenic, she loves to be photographed. This one looks like a keeper. I have a clone of her going that will become a mom. I have 3 more WW girls finishing up that 2 of them look promising, #1 just doesn't seem to have the bud development of the others. #2 looks quite a bit different from the other 3 as far as it's appearance, and the smell is somewhat different as well, but she looks promising, maybe another keeper. #3 looks a lot like #4 and I expect her to be done any day as well. If she smokes the same as #4 we'll just flower out her clone and keep #4. Time will tell. We'll also be chopping another extremely beautiful SSH in a day or 2 and there will be some Luna ready in another week or so, along with the bagseed which is looking the best of any of the runs I've done of her to date! I'm getting her dialed in now, she's a bit finicky about nutes during flowering. There's also the Mystery strain that is looking F'ing amazing as well, long spear shaped buds that are like 8"-10" long, very tall sativa in structure. She's a couple weeks behind the rest so I'll get some pics of her tonight to share with you guys. So here are some pics of WW #4 just before the chop. Enjoy I know I will. :thumbs-up: :beerchug-2: asssit: More to come soon! Stay tuned. :thumbs-up: :bong-2:
Ras you've shown out again bro! "F'ing" amazing! Question. The way you harvest you're plants are by the cloudiness of the trichs and the color. So what kind of stone does that give you? More of a cerebral stone? Or a couchlock stone. I'm just trying to take notes Bcuz my friend gave me a lupe or loupe thingy and its got a 100x zoom.
So I can know when my trichs start to develop.
As I understand it when a trichome is clear it has not yet reached it's peak in THC, it's still immature. A Cloudy trich means a trich that is in the peak stage of it's THC content. An amber trich is a trich that has reached it's peak THC potential and is now starting to degrade and will contain slightly higher levels of other CBDs and lower levels of THC. It's a balance of mostly cloudy and just a little amber I'm looking for. A lot of how a particular strain affects you is determined by it's Indica or Sativa dominance but the ripeness of the trichomes does play a role as well. Not so much as to be able to change a racy sativa high into a couch lock indica high just by letting it ripen longer. Am I making sense to you? I hope so. So what I have noticed is that by harvesting when the trichomes are at the ratios I said, as the buds hang to dry the trichomes finish ripening up and they end up being 65%-75% Cloudy and 25%-35% Amber giving me well ripened buds that are at their peak of potency for the best overall high. I start by watching the color of the pistils. As I notice that about 50%-60% of the pistils have turned orange I will start doing trichome checks. I take a close up picture of my bud suing the macro setting on my camera, and I put it on the computer and blow it up to where I can see the trichs well enough to determine the percentages of clear, cloudy and amber. It has been working pretty well, it's just time consuming and a bit tedious to photograph every bud in order to get an accurate idea as when to harvest. I need to get a loupe so I can do easier trichome checks.
Yep I understand now. That's some good info to have if you want the most potent medicine your plants can offer you. Thank you for the very well detailed explanation :thumbs-up:
Another Plant Harvested. The SSH in the 1000 watt room came down today. 66 days flower time. No topping on this one, I just let her grow straight up. I love the way this plant grows, especially when she's allowed to grow without being topped. The only flaw that this strain has exhibited is that her stems can't support the massive, dense, heavy ass buds that she grows. This is still my most dense strain, just rock hard buds, and even after they are dry, they remain super dense, no fluff. This one in particular got a pretty nice cola on her, much bigger than the colas of the ones grown in under the 600 watt. It may be due to the fact that they were topped several times, or maybe it's just that this one just hit the perfect amount of nutes, I dunno. Either way it looks beautiful and has some nice big buds. Here are some pics. ¡¡¡¡¡BONUS!!!!!! Master Kush Smoke report and Pic. Breeder--UNKNOWN Acquired as a clone from a medical dispensary. Distinct Master Kush flavor of slight pinesol and "Kush flavor" I just don't know how else to describe the flavor, if you have ever smoked good Master Kush or Bubba Kush the you know the "kush flavor" I'm talking about. It's that "Classic" Master Kush that I had hoped it would be. Growth is very short stocky classic fat indica leaves. She flowers out quickly in 8 weeks. High is a good strong relaxing body with a heavy head stone, it's a good muscle relaxer and helps with pain pretty well. The best thing about this ganja though is the AMAZING flavor. Appearance-----8.0 Aroma-----------9.0 Flavor-----------9.5 High-------------8.5 Overall----------8.75 I look forward to running a nice SOG with it in my 600 watt room next round. This plant was small and I basically flowered her out to see what the end product would be. Unfortunately due to my hastiness yields suffered greatly I'm sure. The single plant yielded 15 grams dry bud. She was only 18" tall when harvested. I will allow more veg time next time to hopefully get a better yield per plant. More coming very soon.:thumbs-up: :beerchug-2: asssit:
We are chopping the Luna girls today. I took them out of the flowering room last night and we're trimming them up today. I don't want to post any pics of the plants though, cuz they are FUGLY!! I don't quite know what I did wrong but these two girls looked horrible by the time they were done flowering at 10 weeks. I think they wanted more flowering nutes. This was my first run with them in soil. last time I ran the Luna it was in Hempy and she did better, but still showed some nute sensitivities during flowering. The buds look good though and I'm sure they will be great smoke. I'll get a couple pics of the trimmed buds later today. They got a nice purple hue on the tops of the buds. They filled in pretty nice, and they are nice and dense. The Luna is a weird plant. She sport variegation on her leaves and some genetic leaf deformities that cause the tips of the leaves to twist. Her structure is very short and stocky, she grows at a slow pace and has very little stretch during flowering, yet she takes between 10-11 weeks to fully mature. I LOVE THIS STRAIN. It's potency is great and it tastes great, it has a weak smell but it's pleasant. The cured buds are beautiful and it's a very smooth smoke. I'm loving my DJ Short strains. Next out of the room will be the net of the White Widow plants of which there are still 3 pheno's to be harvested. There is still 2 Blueberry and 3 Bagseed girls finishing up as well. Also pics of the 600 watt room will be up tonight or tomorrow. The Cotton Candy Kush and OG Kush girls in there are looking SWEET!:bong-2:
