:qgreenjumpers: Awesome. Remember, as they get bigger, they will want more and more water. Watch the soil as its gets dry. Keep us updated.
Ive been doin that and between intervules they are getting dried up not as bad but a few more sprites do just fine
That's what I do. I water well and then not again until the soil dries out almost completely. Make those roots go searching for water. It's their job. I usually decide when I need to water based on two factors. 1. Watch the plants. When the leaves just start to droop a little bit it's time to water. (assuming there is not some other problem) 2. The weight of the pot. Take a pot or cup that you are using for seedlings and fill it with dry soil out of the bag. If the soil is not completely dry, let it dry for a few days or more. Now feel the weight of the pot and how light it is compared a pot with soil saturated in water. The growing plant will not add that much more weight to the pot since the plant is mostly water anyway. When your pots get to that weight, it's time to water. So when I water I will give them a good soak and then not again until the soil looks dry, feels dry, and the pot is light. I usually just pick up the cups and feel the weight to easily determine when it's time because the first couple inches of soil could be dry while the roots at the bottom are still soaked.
Wait a minute...we're supposed to be watering them? Why didn't you guys tell me? don't worry. It's just an old wives tale. shhhh....
well i kept reading dont water them hugely i watered every time the soil looked dry just guess it wasnt enough thats what i was saying
Ya bro, its better to underwater them, then overwater them. ALot of people overwater the plants, and they get root rot, and die. You are doing fine. Dont mind the silly jokes, Keep us updated.
That will defently help some average joe I'm also starting to see the difference in this mircle grow soil, (a lot easier to recognize in the fox farm though much more obvious)
Ya, AverageJoe, got good advice about the weight. :thumbs-up: I noticed that FoxFarm soil, is way fluffier soil. More loose, with less sticks and less chunks of wood shit in there. You agree? Btw what type of FoxFarm soil did you get?
ya i actually was looking for soil that looked like fox farm but ya i got thats shit with the wood chips almost thought it was tree base chips. the fox farm I got though was Ocean Forest Organic Potting Soil Mix i filled up a cup of it a tested the water evaporation on it, and they defenetly hold the water alot better
so i decided to changed my grow room around so this is what i came up with i think this will be better then beforeai know its not the greatest but anything u think of that need to be changed for critical reason
I just watered them yesterday I'm gonna wait t until Wednesday to water them again plus the two big pots I just put those in there right before the picture
From what I've been reading I put them 13-18 inches from the top of the plants with this new hps light I got I need to figure a better way to get exaust out of my pump room I'm readin an average 88-90degrees in there with three fans running, my thoughts on that is the hot air isn't being cooled good enough for just a circulation doesn't keep it at a good 80-85 degrees if I'm reading incorrectly is like to know with a way to fix it my idea is there is already a hole in one of my boards that was laid on the foundation and perfect way to vent just need to figure it out from the outside if is alright to cut this or not
Noticed the high temps on the dial thermo. Didn't see an exhaust fan on the ducting. What are you trying to accomplish with just the ductwork? You'd be better off with no reflector if you have limited exhaust
o the ducting is on there man lol u have to look at pic 1 the fans i have are the obvious white fan, the black heater there is actually just set to fan no heat and the exhaust ducting is installed bottom left of that pic if u don't i cant get a different pic up now actually thinking about it the ducting can go to the other side of my room just need to go buy more ducting when i get a ride to the dam store (same problem for the past few months)
Circulation fans are in the pics. Both ends of the duct terminate in the room with no exhaust fan attached. What were you trying to accomplish?
Well I'm guessing I did it wrong i only left the small ducting on there so it would vent up but like I said must have gotten a to short ducting for the hps to cool properly now am I getting the wrong thing ur saying cause unless this metal fan that's hooked up to the duct not an exaust fan then I must have something else but like I said before if I actually get ducting either 20 ft long or see if I can just go out the wall behind the room in the pic I can't get the exaust out of this room
