No...you need an exhaust fan attached and a terminus outside of the growspace. Unless you're talking about the duct booster fan attached to the long end that still leaves the heat in the room. 1. Duct boosters are fer shit. If a hydro store guy sold you that return it and kick his ass. He ripped you off. 2. Unless you're running CO2, Exhaust MUST MUST MUST must must must must MUST always always always ALWAYS exit the growspace. Otherwise you're just recirculating hot air.
O ok That's what I was afraid of lol well ill have to look around online unless Home Depot sell it but sadly it has to stay like that for hopefully only today sucks not haveing transportation
Ok well I don't think any company here has any of this in this tow but just incase I'm getting this http://www.hpsgrowlightsusa.com/accessories-reflectors-hood-html-2.html I do have a 6" 1000 w hps but this looks like I think what your saying I need but if I do get it from there they have planters not sure if I need the 1 gallon or the 5 but I'm guessing the 1 gallon lol
Hey there Tee, That fan/combo will work great with a 600 watt light but like ResinRubber said you have to exhaust the heat out of the room or it won't work. An unducted cool tub with a 600w bulb will get pretty hot so I def wouldn't lower the fixture until you have a proper ventilation system set up. In fact I almost suggest going back to the 4' floros. until you get things sorted. The plants will continue to grow & you won't be cooking them to death with an unvented hps. Once you have air flowing through the cooltube you'll be able to lay your hand directly on the glass, it'll be that cool. As for the pot size & style I suggest either two or three gallon Smart pots. There's no need for a 5 gallon pot unless you're growing trees & it doesn't look like you've got the space or firepower for that. Once you're up & running with everything dialed in you'll have no problem pulling a couple of zip per plant using a 3 gal pot. Google smart pots & decide for yourself. cheers Duc
well thanks man didnt even know there were 3 gal smart pots i only came across 1-5-8 and granted 5 gallon ive seen alot but it always looked to big for my grow and fps sadly i installed them into my garage and they aren't plug in play lol but i can get those vent items i threw up sent 2 day shipping but with Christmas im alomost half tempted to just get a small c02 tank, this area i can basicly anywhere (so much easier to get in a coal/oil town then any other item needed in this lol)
DON'T START CO2 UNTIL YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING. This Public Service Announcement provided by GrowKind.com/forum
u guys told me to ask and these are things i havent figured out yet but ill get that exhaust kit coming so i dont keep haven the hi heat issue like ive been haven i know u already kinda answered this question but i would still like to ask from now until the time the parts get heres if i read up on it and figure it out i might try to bring some of the heat probelm down with i guess a home made c02 producer (not sure actual name) think that might help
No. Either stick your exhaust out of the room or shut your hps down and go back to the floros or cfls, which ever you were running before. You'll never get the heat down if you keep exhausting your heat INTO the same room. STAY AWAY FROM CO2!! (till you know what your doing) It's not needed for a decent, or even great, grow.
No shit. Twitter/text generation. If it's more than a millimeter in the wrong direction for a thumb tap it ain't happening. I'm gonna start bailing on posts that are run ons. It's not my job to figure out exactly what folks are trying to say. asssit: Matter of fact...starting now.:bong-2:
guys I know I suck at punctuation, but let me get back to u guys once I get everything fixed properly. I do apeciate all the help everyone has given me its extremely helpfully. If I'm an idiot ill just leave then and do on my own with more problems then right now. Resin thanks to you it would have taken me for ever to realize I need to shove the dam air some how outside. And one other thing about the c02 thing I don't want to guy buy a tank and everything, I was talkin about a small fix until I can get everyting here properly, but either way I can cause I don't know anything about it except it would cool the plants and give them more vigerous growth, other then that no clue on how much but enhm. As for the cfls ill have to buy new ones.
no one here has suggested you leave so please don't be so thin skinned. Stick around, tough it out & you'll be doing better before you know it. Have you read the entire FAQ yet? There's a lot of useful information in them that will help you get a better understanding of what's required for a proper set up. If nothing else you'll have enough information to ask better questions. Duc
NP on the advice Tee. Thanks for the periods, it helps understand your communication. It'll serve you well outside of forum life also. Employers like being able to read things their employees write. Jus' sayin....:bong-2: GK flaws...we're opinionated, crude, sometimes condescending and often a bunch of pricks. Doesn't mean you should go. Just means if you want the help of these old heads be ready for a few pointed remarks. Don't worry...we slap each other once in a while too. You'll find friendlier sites, sites with bigger grows, sites with staggering amounts of information. At GK you'll find hobbyists and commercial growers alike sharing knowledge and working to develop rookie growers like yourself. It's what we do best. Nowhere on the net will you find a group more dedicated to getting first gardens started for those willing to deal with the barbs and arrows.
Exactly. Relax. nobody wants you to leave. You'll have to excuse me, as I'm a grammer nazi; have been all my life and it's hard to change. Look at it this way: you can learn more than growing here
Well last three forums I've been on members would rather just have watch me leave then help me learn anything(these are car forums not growing forums) I know I'm dumb and a noob about all this to U guys but to me it's seams like I'm learning alot fast but we will find out in a few months.....I did get a exhaust ductin that can reach out to a bigger room so hopefully that will work for the next few days until the proper fan/filter get here along with taken off that reflector. The whole thing about the grammar, meh not gonna get pissed at u for tryin to understand what I'm saying but can't, when it come to grammer if it was just a class instead of just English I wouldn't have ever passed that class
Huh, never even heard of that, this is what I was reading is one of the baking soda generators here's what I was meanin http://www.420magazine.com/gallery/member-galleries/p105072-co2-generator-diagram.html and if its gonna just complicate this for right now ill just wait then
Ugh... You guys are making things too complicated. Soil with decent drainage. Fertilizaer (watch the dosage) Water Light Fresh (cool) air in, stinky (warm) air out. That's all you need. Once you have the basics down, then get the fancy stuff and refine your skills. Do I need to get my picture out again? Well, here it is... From that, I grew this:
