we don't flippin HUH? Goblin- I dunno what wattage the moon is- but it won't stop plants from going into bud. I would say that a lumen is a lumen- however many lumens the bulb is rated for would make an accurate comparison. I could look it up, but I think an arch prof said lumens are figured out at one foot distance, once. Wait- we don't say hoorah in the army? WTF lol... we certainly USED to. I was gonna say- check the modification to the ranger handbook page... i erased where its says "trapped behind enemy lines" and filled in "disabled". The rest sorta fell into place lotsa the vets (like at the clinic i go to to have the medical work done for my 20% service connected US Army disability- OCS) like it. I hate getting called a liar, tho, dip(expletive). Where did I say i was SF? Really i think i slopped the beret in the middle of my forehead rather than screwed it up. I was driver/flunky for an SF major in a US army artillery unit (HHB 1/1 ADA, Bn EMMO) when i was 17-20, in Wildflecken, germany. And i was raised by a guy who ran army depots, etc... but since when does "cherry leg" translate to i'm claimin' a hat? Check with Ft Bliss, or check with Maj Gen Michael T Byrnes (ret). He's the SF major- then i guess envoy to china or some muckey muck. (I never knew major mike spoke chinese.) Trust me, when a field grade officer orders you to wear a particular headgear you do it. Why wouldn't you sharpen a knife you intend to use for a weapon, or in the kitchen for that matter? Please see the "forward slash". You wanna do that with a dull blade? Anyway a sharp knife makes the target bleed better than a dull one, even with a "forward lunge" type of assault. But it DOES trash the historical value of the piece, or if i ever intend to put that enfield in a museum where it came from haha. Nah the family got me the "smelly" very recently- 150 bucks shipped, take the cosmoline off yourself. It's a "trainer" for home defense... they kinda know i was almost on ESPN with a pugil stick once. I had to file the bayonet lug juuuuust a tad. Nah guys i was born with it, raised by it, i (have said before) volunteered but never went, did a hitch, got out for a while, and joined the guard when they invaded kuwait, mostly to pay for my shooting habit. I was however the best shot in the company except maybe Top, and third best in the state, at one time. Ha i don't even say i was a sniper- Top always said he didn't care if anybody ever sent me to sniper school. Dunno why. So not the rating or the school just the job- like usual. But I don't see how that makes me any poser. Read back, my friends. Ha I'll guarantee ya i can prove I'm trained as a (please see previous) dogface cherry leg. But not poser. Tore up my shoulder and took five years to get benefit jack, and i still get a 20% service connected pension. They gave me the magic carpet ride to 4 yrs college, tuition, books, fees, and 650 a month or so. After five years wait, bankruptcy, all the fun stuff. Ha claim you owe the student loans more than sixty grand and have more than 450 cred of college hahaha. Dare ya, posers hahaha. That take ten years. Nah guys I've long been a really intelligent dumbass hahaha it gets me in more trouble. But it breaks my heart to get called this claimer stuff. Same as it breaks my heart i never got a piece of those (expletive)holes, frankly. I hope God didn't hear me say that. We're on a lot better terms these days. So there. Lol TheKid Ha i met a dumbass (lol) 11 Xray at a pot clinic the other day tho- missed the rope and broke everything but his sense of humor, it seemed... that seemed to still work ok tho lol nice guy like usual "hat"
because a blunt edged bayonet creates nastier wounds that are more difficult to treat and heal. THAT's why you don't sharpen them, we don't want te enemy with nice clean slashes, we want them with jagged, nasty hard to stitch wounds that bleed more and are more suceptible to infection. we want to take out more than the enemy combatant, we want their medics and money for supplies tied up as well. That is why military issue bayonets are dull, as you should know with the BS you're spewing. Plus, any collector value it may have ever had or WOULD have in the future is now gone. Quit with the "(expletive)" shit, and just type what you want to say ya dipshit asshole. Even IF you were ordered to wear a beret before they were mainstream in the US Army, SF groups and rangers still had an identifying flash that was sewn onto the beret with a crest pinned onto it, such as still practiced now. If I am wrong about that part, there are members of this board who can correct me. And one more question for you, what is 11 Xray? I know infantry is currently classified under the 11 series as 11 Bravo, and SF are under the 18 series as XRAY until they complete specialised SF training to be come ex.- 18 Bravo, 18 Delta or 18 Charlie as examples. I don't know what 11 XRays are though, unless it's changed since the 70's.
Ya know for a candidate for OCS, if it's the OCS I'm assuming you're talking about, your typing is for shit bro. I know mine's not perfect but you are not very coherent. Just sorta rambling.
11 X- rays are infantry in basic training before they get their identifier such as 11B (regular infantryman). 11C are mortarmen and 11M are mechanized infantry. Anyone wanna take a guess as what an 11B2V might be. A cherry leg would be a noobie grunt. GKers can we please stop the flaming in a thread the whole world sees. Pretty please? By the way kid the army doesn't say hoo rah that's the marines the army says Hooah. Some more army stuff SF wears green berets (obviously) the rangers wear a tan beret (used to be black before a douche general stole it for regular army) and airborne soldiers (Paratroopers) wear a maroon beret. All aoldiers wear their unit crest centered over the left eye.
geez even old pix I ramble... lots of times i'm trying to go down the posts and rspond to pertinent questions/issues... Hell Shadow i dunno when ya kill a deer ya want the arrow to be sharp sharp... same with a fighting knife i always thought. check on authenticity tho. Nobody in the army ever taught me to use a bayonet for combat, somehow. Whoops- sorry maybe the guy said 18 xray. i was an 11B. 16E back in the day. xtrained 54B (Canary) too lol. Saddam started gassin' kurds, i was out of date since the 70's... But hey OCS ya have to be 10 points smarter and SF school ya have to be an expert shot. Other than that same quals, except for personality type. That was my problem, i lacked dedication. Esp OCS, before they turn you loose with 20 guys with machine guns et al they gotta OWN you. Me I'm better off out on the flank creeping up on a "deer" like since i was a kid. Besides I never wanted to send someone else to his death, either. I had a big problem with that, it appeared. Even in training. I'd rather send myself, sorta. But that's why i went to OCS to begin with, i couldn't get SF school as an enlisted, but a butterbar it's NP. Sort of an unconventional method... excuuuuuuse me if my 29 yr old smokin ass got crippled in the attempt- go figger. But nah i had the guard career schnitzeled i would say but then became a liability to the mission (ouch). But missed getting shot at too. I been shot at a few times on the street, though, and i dunno how many grunts got ambush scars like mine either. Here lol i think the ancient pix are in a closet in the grow room. But I found a re-scan from my UO portfolio. Forgive the quality but that is definitely the area between HHB 1/1 ADA and 54 Engr (i forget the company) in Wildflecken Germany. I'm the second guy from the front, next to the case of Kulmbacher. You can't see the Turkish chokin' red that (I've heard) we would get for a buck a gram in kilos and ya could get a 10 gram piece for 20 bucks or so. Yah lol i can prove i partied my ass off for 3 yrs in germany, how's that? Nah lol Wildflecken means "game spot"... figure it out from there. Not terribly cosmopolitan... I had a cousin was a tanker in mannheim and my sister (Sarge Marge) was an interpreter in Augsburg, all overlapping tours. We planted one cousin in 'Nam, nobody since then. The Army says "Hooah," the MARINES say "Oorah!" I've spent close to $40k in college loans, and my sis spent about $60+, what the hell does that have to do with anything? You are proud you have an ass load of loans to pay off? Hydro, no one has flamed in this thread. If you think different, contact the Mods.

""""" i didnt ask because i didnt know....i asked you to look it up for areason...i cant say much bout ur military rambles...but ur growin rambles are garbage.... im not flamin, im just sayin u need to read up n educate urself on the facts of these issues namely the lamp performance topic. ps can i be a 69exray? do i get a gun?
well kid could you tell us how one goes about getting into "SF school" and explaing the expert shot requirement???? Pretty please. There's a Hell of a lot more to it than marksmanship, and well, I'm going to let you explain this "SF School" thing to me. SF school is a new concept to me. There are schools designated for the men in the Special Forces, but there is no "SF School". Were you referring to the Q-Course? Assessment and Selection? Specialty schools? I mean what exactly are you referring to? And Hey Hydro, I don't like that Gen either. The Rangers were pissed that he ripped off their beret for regualr soldiers, so I heard as rumors, never an actual compalin from a real Ranger, though. I heard of the SF guys were pissed about any others wearing berets period, but they ripped theirs off from SAS and started wearing them against orders to remove them until Kennedy gave the green light on SF operations, and so on and so on. He said it made them stand out and look more distinguished as they SHOULD, being special and all. Gen Casey thinks the berets make us all look more professional, and I agree, but it gets uncomfortable, does not block the sun from the eyes, and it gets hot. Plus it leaves that silly ring around your head and the time it takes to shave and shape the thing to make it look right is a nuisance. What pisses me off about the berets though, is how recruiters go out in pairs, one with the black beret and one wit a plain patrol cap so one looks special and it gives them an oportunity to fuck with someone's head a little.
damned if i know, frankly nah- i never bothred to check the training that close. I figgered if i could make ocs i could make SF. pretty much. but sure, i've heard of the personality type etc... lol please "lacks dedication" previous haha. Always screwing around, smoking dope... the ability to shoot 22 or so at trap with an M16 was the majority of what kept me out of CDAC, frankly. That and I'm an artist, (bn S3 artist- yes s3 it was an arty unit), mechanic, ace driver, simulator operator, halfassed radio guy, throws knives, pugil sticks, improvised anything, Bn Scrounger... hard to replace. The Major came close to shitcanning me several times anyway, truly. Oh the quals were what the OCS colonel said at the orientation. And thn they would not so much as send me to a doctor for my crippled shoulder (i got ordered to do pushups til i dropped on a 45 deg downhill- the berm at camp rilea). I went to drills and bitched for i think 6 mo, then said heck with it i need a DOCTOR. I shot the nationals on a fresh crippled shoulder and still placed 132. Anyway, the last drill i attended was escape and evasion. Well hell- i evaded them and escaped. Officer level performance, that's me. Haven't seen me for years, maybe a couple random sightings, sorta like a sasquatch. (I was using the MP's for sniper practice, actually. Click.... click.... ) They discharged me rather than pay for a doctor. Kinda makes me wonder what would happen to me if i got someone crippled at work and wouldn't send him to a doc, and why the Great State of Oregon has refused to show me the responsibility that they require of whatever-it-is-they-want-to-label-me-this-time. But lol i digress. Anyway, "It's a lot easier to train a young man to die for his country than it is an old one" (Top). Me, I'm mellow... you can tell right lol Nah i don't mean to put on about the education... just making the point that it takes ten years (OK 8 fulltime took ME ten) to get 450 cred of college, while it takes what 6 mo to get a hat or so? And a lifetime to fill it, sure, lol... Nah i LIKE hats usually. I collect hats, it's just when i started collecting them the hard way i got hurt. I was always gonna join the cav later hahahaha TheKid
I bought mine pre shaved and shaped from ranger joes that place was great buy some kick ass equipment and get a damn fine high and tight in the same store.
is that the same ranger joes outside ft benning? I heard they could hook you up with just about anything, but never went in. I don't see how you could get a pre-shaped beret though. It has to be fitted to your head for the shaping to work, I think. Kid, OCS and SF q-course/assessment and selection are not even similar in regards to content and difficulty. I'm just saying, not going into that.. and telling us you used the MP's for "sniper practice".. dude you really are a dumb ass. You claim "officer level performance" but you show recruit-level e-1 private intelligence. Lord if I could even count how many dumb shits have sworn up and down they'd be the best Officers the world has ever seen... and I dunno what the hell "22 on trap with an M16" is.. but the minimum qual score with an M16 is 24. Maybe that also is different than the 70's. But either way, if you're saying you only scored 22 hits, you really suck, though I've seen worse.
Sir Stynk...I will rep YOU for calling out this bullshit in such a reserved manner. I been reading along too. TheKid...jususgodfuckingdamn dude. Hey check me out: I got an even ton dry off this plant that I have in a 3000gallon bucket. The plant is 1000 ft tall and I have it under 25 30,000watt CMHMHHPSLEDCFLT5 lights. It's all cooled by an active exhaust that I made using a modified Rolls Royce airplane engine and some WD-40. I got the engine when I was in the armnavyforcedairmarinesreservesROTC. I'm growing this one in soil, RDWC, hempy and aero-ponic and vertical-ponic all at the same time. I was awarded the purple heart, the silver star, the bronze star, and the congressional medal of honor (6 different times)and I am a naval aviator Ace. I'm a 25-star general and an admiral. I'm also a member of Delta Force. But don't tell anyone b/c I'm also a counter-intelligence spy. W.T.F.? G.T.F.O.
Alright then guys. you've all gotten your digs in on TheKid. Regardless of how silly his posts may seem at times we don't need this to degrade into something nasty. If TheKid's posts bother you then don't engage him. To Kid's credit he's refrained from firing back with anything nasty despite having been goaded more than once. Now since this thread is in the Gallery forum and not the political forum which is where this conversation is headed. Lets stop it now and if you want to discuss military issues start a thread in the politics forum.
social justice vs natural selection in the digital age dude might just be wayhigh...:bong-2: :anibong: asssit: :icon_cheers:
I dont visit the politics forum. I find it's best to stay out of other peoples' affairs. I apologize for the smack I talked.
