6-24-15Time to start the Waterloo and the DS-200.. . Really don't know what to expect from a 185 watt led.... What I don't expect is 400 watt hps results....Will add the scrog screen and reflector panels as soon as the roots are through the basket.. The only fert. will be Flora Nova Bloom... If you read the label you'll realize this is not as crazy as it first sounds... I've used it for years simply because it's cheap, simple and it works.... To better understand what i'm trying to do, google: Pineapple Express G13 labs seed to harvest... The man showed me the way to large yields, minimum work, short turn around time.... I've only tried to improve on the waterfarm plumbing setup, not Scottys method.... My cheap 5 gal cloner and some Ice and ak48 clones.... The 16 day old clone in it's new home, 6-24...... I'm thinking it's an Ice.. Will be veging for the next 4 weeks... Split foam pipe insulation was used to insulate the tubing... I go through 4-1 liter frozen water bottles a day, and that keeps the temps in the upper 60s...

7-7-15It's been two weeks since i pulled it from the cloner... Should have let it stay in for another 5 days for more roots... Took 10 days to get roots out the bottom of the basket and start growing...... Running Flora Nova Bloom 425 ppm... The plant does like the light at this stage.... The real test will come when the plant exceeds the lights claimed core footprint... After all the claims of what an LED can do, i'll really be disappointed if the light isn't equal to at least a 250 hps.. I'll be giving the plant it's one time topping in a couple days..... I figure the screen will go down in a few days...

7-16-15In two days it's grown above the screen enough to be pulled down moved outward.. It's growing so fast it needs to be moved every two days.... The last three pic are 2 days later 7-18-15.... before and after pull down and rearrange...

7-21-15Letting it grow through and get a little longer this time... The 2"x4" screen makes it easier to pull down when they get longer...... Maybe tomorrow, or the next day depending on how they look, i'll do the final pull down and start 12/12..... The reservoir will get a refill tonight, and set at 800ppm... First pic before pull down, 2nd pic 4 days after.... 16 days in cloner27 days veg10 days 12/12just took the last three flowering pics this morning 7-31-15

17 days 12/12.. 1100 ppm... PHed plain water add back, change res 7-10 days... Wasn't expecting it to stretch as much as it has.... Moving it to the flower room and setting everything lower than it is now... I've run out of room to move the light higher.... Will also add longer screen supports and raise the screen a few inches.... The panels have been moved up 4".... It's just a matter of pulling out the wire hooks and moving them down 4".... To move this setup during the grow is as simple as drain, cut the hoses, move and splice back together.... This 185 watt led light is doing much better than i expected it to..... a gram per watt doesn't seem an unreasonable expectation...I realize having high expectations doesn't mean it's gonna happen....Thanks for the rep RR,that was a nice surprise..

A lot of guys are seeing a g/W with LED isn't hard to obtain. Never used advanced and too much conflicting info on them floating around. So interested to see how your experience goes. Is that the DS with the added Cree xte whites or no?

Just lost a long post... not gonna build them here on site any more... i'll cut and paste from my computer from now own.... Forgot this site doesn't have a save content, at least i haven't found it..6 days later.. Wasn't expecting this much stretch... I'm used to Indica girls, short and fat.. The good thing is the screen can still be moved up even at this late date... It only requires changing out the screen supports one at a time for longer ones... Takes about a minute for each side... Even though the panels moved up with the screen, the hooks still needed to be pulled out and moved down a few more inches to position the panels a little higher... Included the wall in the pics to show how much light is lost without the panels.... Ran out of room to move the light up, so will be moving the Waterloo to another room and setting it all a foot closer to the floor... Keeping the temps in the mid 60s*f and using only FNB and plain ro water to manage ph and ppm is working well.. Running about 1000-1100 ppm now, and letting the ph swing between 5.4 and 6... Will be doing a reservoir change with the move to the other room... This will be the first res change since the clone went in......Skunky, there are none of the new whites in the DS200... The leds are, Bridgelux, Cree, and LumiLED... The new XTE series have the new whites....This led comparison test has some par ratings for the DS200... http://advancedledlights.com/blog/ds-200-led-grow-light-vs-topled-mars-ii-400/Noticed the space station is using colored leds, i'm assuming that because of the magenta hue of the light...

Day 37 12/12.... Can't get over how tall shes grown.. The longest look to be at least 14-16"... There are buds from the screen up... I see so much potential here that my promise of no supplemental lighting, has become just another broken self promise..... Ordered 2-125 watt red cfl bulbs, with fixture/reflectors from Greners.... she was to wake up Monday with one on each side of the 24" length of the screen... Well that didn't work out...My two 125w cfl fixtures from Greners arrived, [Monday 23], wrong bulbs of course... customer service is repeatedly ignoring me... Screw it, i'm pulling the 185 watt led at lights out today and replacing it with the light i bought for my next grow.... SS 315 watt cmh, bloom bulb..., also referred to as a 315w LEC mh..... What you see in the pics was done with the 185 watt colored led alone... I think it did rather well for it's self, dispite being born a colored LED..... Will be using the led as a veg light for the 315 w in the future... The next posting will be after a week of the 315w.... setting everything 14" lower to get the 315w higher and hoping it wont burn the colas...I'm thinking it's at least a 10 week strain with all the stretch...Will start back bud building in another week or so, after she gets used to the new light....... I'll leave a few side by side colas undone for a comparison show and tell for those unfamiliar with the tech...

27 days veg-- Day 49 12/12, week 7,- Pics are after 7 days under ss315w - After the switch to the 315w it took a few days for the plant to adjust to the more intense light... At 28 inches it really hammered her at first... Had no more room to move the light higher..... After 3 days she started eating and drinking again..... Nirvana says Ice is a 8-10 week strain.. PPM 13-1400, ph 5.4>6...

Out of the 5 phenos we had from ice back around 07 all were 9-10wk. The number 4 pheno was our keeper. Lots of tricks and this nice fruity pebbles type sweet berry smell that was a little fuel like when squeezed. Wouldn't mind still having a cut if that but was lost about 5 years ago.

It's been 100 days total today.... 27 veg, 73 days 12/12... she was executed at dawn today... about time... Not a hell of a lot of trimming to be done.... here they are cut, washed and hung.... about 30 fair sized colas and 15 or so smaller ones.... Not going to trim until they're almost dry, 3 or 4 days.... Tossed a few buds in the dehydrator for some testing... Bought a Arizer vaporizer... Been testing it on different heat and fan settings several times a day...... $145.00 and it came with a remote and extra everything.... really like it... gotta go now, the bags almost full....

Thanks for the complements, much appreciated... The truth is i'm glad it's done... keeping the temps down with frozen water bottles was getting kinda old.. i mean it worked and got me through the summer, and convinced me to buy a chiller....

Have some Blue Mystic and Master Kush beans from Nirvana for the next go round... Three regular Waterfarms, a 315wcmh on each end of a 32"x 84" scrog screen with the 185 watt led to fill in between them.... Also just ordered Surpreme CBD Kush from them... They claim 9.5%thc and 9.5%cbd...

cut from their site.. :For medical patients this strain with its 1:1 ratio offers the optimal pain management, muscle spasms. It helps reduce cramps with PMS. Supreme CBD Kush also diminishes the intensity and frequency of spasms and tremors associated with Parkinson’s disease and MS.
