Thought I'd show the latest evolution of my space. Nothing fancy....oi, gawd no!...






This time I've combined everything into a bedroom closet. It's funny how as my experience grows, my space gets smaller!
This time I wanna see if the plants like some blue spectrum all the way through. Right now the floros are on 24/0 and the HPS is on 12/12. I just set that up yesterday, and plan to keep em vegging for a bit longer. Then I'll put the floros on 12/12 too and see what happens.

What are your thoughts?

Why only 12/12 with the hps if you're vegging?

 

Power consumption, mainly?

It wont cause flowering. I have grown a few with just hps. I happen to use 1 mh and 1 hps next to each other this last grow i am working on now.

They are for watering the plants so he doesn't have to.

Here they are, once again. Got some good air in there now so I'm slowly moving them closer to the 'big lite'! Sure am glad Summer's over! Happy Autumn, BTW! Max is 82F, 15" under.....holds very steady. So I think this'll work well. They sit on a benchtop inside a closet. There is plenty of space underneath them. I *might* con't developing this space and add a completely separate germing/vegging chamber...that's the plan anyway, we'll see.


Bumped the floros to 18/6...gonna try incrementally dropping the on time until it matches the HPS (12/12).





Anyway, there ya go....thnx fer swingin through!

They are actually 15 days apart in age...8-05 and 8-20.


I ....took measures to get even heights..heh

I hope to be better able to control the height. Rather, my intent is (as always) multiple buds/even heights.


So the plants will be backed down as needed rather than the lights raised.

They are just about to go into flower, and this time I know what to expect!


'Nother week or so of training....then let 'em rip!


Now I need a hydraulic bench to raise/lower the plants, huh...yes, grand 'plans' that will never happen! Haha. Actually, much more likely is a hand cranked winch kinda thing.....


But


This will be interesting...the combo of lights. Hmm....


LOL...AND...this is also the first grow when I'm not being too reactionary, scrambling to keep the plants healthy, letting them lead me..y'know?


Plus, this time I got some stash...!


Hahaha...there is no 'pressure' to hurrythefukupgimmesomebud....


But yeah....anyone have thoughts on this rig?

Well, actually there is a piece of styro down for the pic...pretty intensely bright in there....come stumbling outta there and it takes a long time to be able to see anything..haha, you know how that is...


Anyway, I think I'm about done dinkin' around with the set up....ready to let 'em rip and see what happens!


I'm thinking of this lighting as replicating nature. That is, a 'day' can now consist of a 'wake up' time (JUST floros), followed by a nice 'sunny' day (floros AND HPS together), followed by a pleasant 'evening' (again, JUST floros).


I *might* test lowering the on times as they go: we'll see.

Mircle Grow


I hate mircle grow it burns plants 2 much & does not provide tha nutes i really need to grow mine ere body has there opions on things & stuff 2 use but as far as me i stay away from mircle grow as ive had many issues wit it as far as tha floro's & hps im interested to see wat comes of it because i start my plants wit floro's during vegging cuz i love them tight compact nodes then flower wit a 450 Watt HPS im in tha process of starting my 3rd grow now & fixin to start them wit tha floro's as i mentioned i do ere grow but would like to see like ur doing if they would like it thru full grow to help get tha light under tha canopys and to help keep them nice & tight in tha nodes GOTTA LOVE DEM TIGHT GURLS LOL but yea i will stay tuned to ur post to see wat happens wit urs as im starting mine to see wats wat

I put em to 11/12/12 today...haha....12 floros/11 HPS/12 off...


I have to say, these plants are absolutely LOVING the light combo!


Never seen such vigorous growth!


So far, so good.


I am thinking this could well be the ideal set up. Naturally, that means ideal, FOR ME! Obviously NOT with the 4' fixtures tho! That's just me using what I've got on hand....:icon_confused:


Well, my brain is in 'high gear' on it, so lookthefukout....:icon_bounce:

Ever done a Screen 'O Green before? I'd like to some day but I think I'm getting similar results with my cages... I've never seen a Scrog grow log before, I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out!


Since you have your sun rise/set thing going on, all you need to do is get a bird song recording to play. Start the music 10min before lights and on and let it go 20min after reverse for sunset.


Future sound experiments likely to come from my direction, I've not yet tried what I just advised...just something I've been thinking about lately...


As far as that lighting goes, the mixed spectrum really should be ideal, I expect good results!

Ummm...Is that what I'm doin? Screen of green? :icon_confused: Hell, I'm just trying things that I 'come up' with...u know? I put the screen in there just to force them to stay down until ALL the branches reach close to even height. I've done my usual up 3 or 4 nodes then *snip*. One has 6 main branches, the other has 8. I figure to uncover them soon...before 'the stretch'...and then let em go wild! I dunno man...seems I am CONTINUALLY changing what I do!


Also, at this point, I am


ASSUMING....that they are FEMALE! Haha....they are not yet confirmed, tho they ARE fem beans.


So we'll see. Perhaps I'll start playing Enya for them?

Now, I've grown some plants....had some success...but I gotta say these two are absolutely mind blowing!! AMAZING!


So far so very, very good with the light combo!!
