Alright, had a 5 gallon bucket, threw my trim in there threw 10 lbs of pellets in there stirred that shit up....looked reallly good but there was a shitload of pellets you can mix water and dry ice to make fog....figured hell it will burn off the dry ice. didn't want to make an explosion so I add just a little water and it started to boil....then instantly flash froze over so I had about a 2 gallon chunk of ice in my bucket....can't have that
Oh man I can see how using dry ice in pellet form would be a hassle to deal with, I've always bought my dry ice in block form from the grocery store. If I remember correctly I don't think I used more than about a half pound of the stuff the last time I made hash. If all that's available in your area is the pellet form maybe you could try dry sifting using the works bag before adding the water, that may even result in a cleaner run too. Might be worth a shot.. Either way the combination of dry ice and traditional bubble bags produces some very nice hash.. Duc
I seem to recall you doing a thread on this method. If a stickied tutorial thread doesn't exist for the dry ice method, somebody should create one. Might have saved Nip's ceiling and sex life for an hour. Lord knows I need it. My attempts a bubble bags even w/o dry ice were laughable.
I could have gotten a slab, but pellets were literally next door and it's industrial so it was 10 lb min. Honestly I liked the pellets, it was nice and easy to deal with..JUST WAY WAY to much. Maybe 1 lb or so would do nicely. The flash freezing of the water was something I was not expecting, the boil temp is so low but I should have prob just added a lot more water in the beginning. Anyways, got some really nice blonde hash, the 120 (i think) bag looked like normal bubble, everything smaller than that pure blonde. I can't give you a final tally though because I've already given huge chunks away. But it will be enough to last me a few weeks even with how much I give out. The keifing then bubble run sounds like an idea though. I'm sure it would cut weight but make a great product. try the pellets though, nice contact with trim (more surface area). Fresh is fine, it freeze dries it almost instantly and within a few minutes its piles. Broken down the buds and everything. Pretty nifty, next run will be nicer....thanks for the original posting duc....people use his method, not mine :roffl: FF, she didn't stay mad for long, I did however have to agree to redoing the kitchen and buying new countertops (which I was no were close to). She laughed about it on FB so I think I'm good Ducs method is stickied on the top of the hash forum
Didn't Midnight do a kief version of the bags with dry ice? If I recall he did it over a big glass or mirror with the dry ice and leaves in a 5 gallon bucket with a bubble bag over it and shook out a whole shit load of hash.
I used the Hybrid Bubble Hash method in Duc's thread. It worked quite well! I didn't use trim, though. I cut the fresh buds off of the stems after removing the fan leaves and put them into a gallon freezer bag to sit in the freezer. Once I processed it all, I was left with a nice blonde/brown/amber chunk of hash. No green color at all, because I used a 2x4 to agitate it. I felt like a witch over a bubbling cauldron, because the dry ice made the water boil and fog over the top of the buckets!
Dry trim or bud frozen with dry ice before running the bags works well for me. Here's tonight's rung using JBKO Trim & a little bud
Some good looking hash guys!! Was wondering if any of you press your bubble hash. I'd watch videos in the past where the people were big on pressing. I did it for a while but seemed like a lot of work. The only big advantage I saw was recovering it when you would get fucked up and would drop it. Be Cool, CG
Nice lighter man! Cool green swirls and it looks kinda like GREEN smoke wink wink get it??? And even green bubbles there too! Sweet ass lighter. Oh yeah the hash looks good too.
