What's growin' on

Few shots of what's growing on. Here's Sour Cali (Sour Diesel x Arcata Trainwreck) x Super Silver Haze. 20 days veg. Generic soil with some mycorrhizae & extra perlite added, Botanicare PBP nutes & Cal Mag +. 400W HPS and daylight fluoros used for some mixed spectrum light. They seem happy






Here's LarryBerry (Lemon Larry OG x DJ Short's Blueberry. 10 days veg. No nutes yet, but will receive the same as the SCxSSH.

Thanks for checking it out SG. I believe the nice tight internodes are due to the extra blue from the daylight T8 fluoros.... They seem to like the mixed spectrum.

 

True that. One thing I think you should try is tucking fan leaves under branches so the branches get direct light and shoot right out.


I did this with 5 indoors and they were the bushiest plants I've grown in my life.

 

Oh yeah. I'm a firm believer in tucking and not clipping the fans. If these babies weren't so squatty, they'd already be bent over and tied down.. lol


I'm glad they're squatty though because I want minimal stretching come flower time

Thanks bamboo, I'm expecting both crosses to be stretchy, so they'll probably finish at around 4 feet. Tough to predict though...

Thanks Rollin, these crosses are made by a couple of friends who practice a little pollen chuckin' when they find good looking keeper phenos of plants they're growing. I can get pictures of the SourCali mom used in that cross and the Lemon Larry mom used in the LarryBerry cross, and I will post them up here for your viewing pleasure.

 

First shot is the SourCali plant, second is a bud shot that won picture of the year for my buddy at another of the canna forums out there on the web

As you can see, there are some top-shelf genetics in these crosses... Hoping the beauty of the mothers shines through in these progeny.

 

great looking buds bro, looking forward to seeing more of the OG Lemon Larry :thumbs-up: I think its a damn nice strain, and yours looks even better than my LL that I grew out last winter....I'm still pissed that I couldn't get the clones to root and the seeds were limited editions bonus seeds :angry4:

Just kiddin' dude. Major props for such a frosty ass plant. But how is the yield? The buds look small but I bet the pack a punch! :thumbs-up:

From what he tells me, the yield on the SC side is not the greatest. What it lacks in yield it makes up for in potency. That's why he crossed her with the SSH, which is another very potent strain, but which yields a bit better. If the right combination of the two can be found in the progeny, it could be tough to beat...
