TBH it does not matter what I think. Most people I have talked to are against it. But does it matter? Out of our hands. My family's children will not be enlisting and we hope to avoid a draft. We have no interest in this :/

It is something I have given a lot of thought to. I really don't like it....it is just the conclusion I have come to. Believe me I have gone back and forth. My mom's good friend's father is there now and he wants help. The rest of his family is has fled to refuge but he is there fighting to stay alive. I have gone back and forth....not an easy choice, but it is the one I made.
There is no enlistment or draft. This is going to be planes, drones, and missiles from ships. More than likely NO American will die. We aren't going to war, we are intervening to prevent a (additional) massive pile up of innocent bodies. To be the most powerful nation, military, and moral compass in the world and to do nothing is a blithe on being American. We can not on one hand feel superior as people compared to other countries and then sit by while women and children are put to a horrible death by a dictator and mad man's government. That is simply ridiculous. If we allow the use of chemical weapons anywhere in the world, they will eventually make there way into the VERY wrong hands and onto the American people.
