Oh, ok. I forgot that, I was just speaking from what happened in my indoor this year. Had an awesome looker that got tall quick. Male as hell, still have a cutting from it, not sure what to do with it. On the leaf problem, it sure looks like maybe overnute, or mg def. once again though, I don't know a lot on how to spot what def. getting better though
It has been a month since I planted the clones. Its been a rough week, they been recovering from a cal/mag deficiency and the walmart water I dont use anymore. Im pretty sure it lacks the cal/mag thats required to grow weed.Im using my tap water mixed with my nutes and unsulphured molasses ph'd to 6.5There is a little bit of leaf damage but they are looking better to me.:FAQ:Im reading up on cloning and super cropping. This weekend Im planing on making a vegging area next to my tent set up and a clone area.Any advise is appreciated.asssit: /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0108.jpg.0270e4d5faeeb4402177057efa6fc658.jpg /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0109.jpg.ced88330e66d2b14f36c998191223e89.jpg /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0110.jpg.a388b8fd125adae8664cba2f9eed5ce1.jpg /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0114.jpg.21cd8cf37133a73ad55ee6b4c1403f66.jpg
They don't look too bad at all. It shouldn't take too many doses of Molasses to fix any Ca/Mg issues. They look to be at their threshold for nutrients especially N to me. I see a tiny bit of "Eagle Claw" at the leaf tips. That is what happens just before they develop N burn so watch 'em and maybe ease up a bit on the nutrients. Next time you grow add some dolomite lime to your soil, even if it says it has some in it already. You won't have any Ca/Mg or pH issues again. You can always give them some Molasses regardless. It's got a lot of benefits, just not every time you feed. You're doing good so far so keep it up. Gave you a Rep bump.
Thanks very much Ras. So add 1/2 the nutes, another small dose of molasses and add the dolomite lime sound about right?asssit:
Week five update.Been busy today, I did some lollypoping, some LST, took some clones and to top it off I SCRoged.Pic #1... I zipped tied the plants to the side of the pots. I have been training them for a couple of weeksPic#2... My SCRog with most of the nodes sticking thru. There are a few more just under the scrog Im hopeing will poke thru soon.Pic#3... 24 Clones I took todayPic#4... Under the scrog. You can see all the trimming I did on the undersides which receives little light, also took clones from the bottom. /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0127.jpg.73f8398a389974bd4f81c3e27e223f9e.jpg /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0125.jpg.adb2214ccb6acfbba1bd0591b563b458.jpg /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0124.jpg.e487fafa1f3c6a60df5aab5c0219e3b2.jpg /monthly_2013_05/IMAG0126.jpg.878bc9e4b703c6060ab590578f6d343e.jpg
Hey BR! We're reworking the FAQ and need material for Scrog. If you keep this thread updated do you mind if we lift from it?
I dig the SCROG I'm gonna SCROG my outdoor plant this year. Gonna try and see just how much I can yield from a single plant that I can't allow to get more than 4' tall. Good looking grow rookie! :good job:asssit:
Pic 2 is right up our alley. If you could keep that screen updated as it fills in we can work through any explanations needed for the FAQ. Of course any material used for FAQ is credited to the member.
Yeah sure man, It would be an honor. I wanted to ask when should I flip to 12/12? I think I want the Scrog to fill out a little bit more but I hear they are going to still be growing for a while during flowering....rite?? Im getting anxious..LOL
Thanks a lot man....That means alot coming from a pro! I feel that I learned so much in the last five weeks it's crazy. Already Im planning my next grow and how I can do things better the second time around.
Cool! You'll get about two or three more weeks of training after going 12/12 depending on the strain. When you flip cut out any undergrowth that doesn't look like it will reach the screen. Once the plant has fully trained in (2-3 weeks 12/12) prune out any remaining branches that haven't hit the screen and you're good to go.
Really, timing your flip will be strain dependent. I've ran a coupleSCROG's and I continue to train during stretch. If you're running mostly indica hybrids, I'd let them fill the screen some more before stretch, but if you're running more Sativa leaning hybrids, or stretchy indica's, then I'd flip them soon and utilize the stretch to fill in the screen. Idealy, with a 600, you're going to want a whole bunch of 10-16 inch tops. Multiple strains are going to stretch different, but if you keep an eye on it and train everything that get's about 6 inches above the screen down, you should be able to fill it nicely. Just a hint, while you still have room, throw up another trellis about 10 inches above your current screen for bud support so you don't end up with a lot of fallen over buds. Your screen should get kinda crowded and if you don't keep them from leaning on each other, you might have mold issues. Here's an example. You're going to want a better trained version of this.
I have both Indicas and Sativas in there... I figure I could top the Sativas to even out the canopy and Iwill take your advise on supporting the buds when the time comes...Thank You BTW...Your pics didnt load for me for some reason.
