Well fuck me, I have white flies in the garden. I noticed one this morning buzzing round and gave the plant a little shake, oh man. They are not too bad at the moment but now how to get rid of them. I already have two hotshot strips in the room, I know one of them is old as hell but the other one I put in around mid Sep. I'm really hoping that it has just reached its effective time limit cause I refuse to spray anything, and I mean anything, on my crop. Fingers crossed. I may be chopping the table early which will really piss me off because I am starting the flush today.
Apparently I didn't need to. I just went in there and nothing is f now. I caught them before they got bad. i went in the garage and nuked the vegging stuff with DE and another hotshot, didn't see any in there but taking no chances. I think I nipped it in the bud as it where.
5 days into the flush. I put straight water ph'd to 5.5 and let it go. They have drank about 7 gallons of water and I've had to take the ph down from 6.2 twice now. The ppm are at 315. It's looking fugly in there Houston.
I hit them with too much koolbloom too early. I have a 25 gallon res and the instructions said 1gram per gallon, I did that and it was too much, plus I did it at week four, I usually do it at week five.
It probably would have worked had I not added the regular nutes too, or at least less of them. I usually give 1/4 tsp of koolbloom per gallon of water at week 5 and only measure for 15 gallons of water and it works. Full strength, not so much.
