Thank you I needed that to know I was on the right track I'm new to LST and well everything else also I figure if I mess up I'll just start over and try again...
Ok #4 is a solid girl. She stretched a bit even supercropping her. Here’s a shot of the whole plant and a flower shot.
Alright so a little update the plant I thought was male is not my bad like I said this is my first grow in fact there are 6 females so far and only 1 more left to show me sex hope it's a female also!! The 4 chim chimney genetics plants are 3/4 female so far so that's good news my bagseed were 3/3 female I guess I have the beginners luck what nutrients do y'all recommend switching to now for the female's? Pics 1. Kim's abyss 2. Smurf punch love how short and bushy with the LST 3. Smurf punch with the leaf deformation 4. Bagseed
The stretching may be coming from Purgatory genetics, it would seem that plant took on the stretching gene. The female purgatory had a sort of golf ball shaped flower pheno to it, (plump & round), with stretching between the top flowers, & flowers below the tops. We are really anxious to see how she finalizes.
Here are a couple pictures of a female Purgatory that we have blooming that is currently at week 4 of flower for comparison of how it's flower structure was. I wanted to show this because after looking at the pictures mr.greenjeans uploaded, the flower structure of blue possessing looks different than purgatory. And more like the pistol development of blueberry.
I've had 2 of the Smurf punch hermie so I moved them, I think it was due to my light I got a new bulb and it was like they hermied over night from it and maybe my last Smurf punch looks like it may try and hermie also. that would leave me with only the 1 Kim's abyss
From what I can tell in the first picture you're absolutely right that has turned hermaphrodite. As for the second set of pictures in your second message, its a little hard to tell for me, do you have any close up side photos where it might be displaying both sex? What makes you think it was the lights that did it? Obviously we want to make sure this isn't a gene showing its way through.
Well my last tester hermied also. CCG for sure needs to work on stabilizing the strain further. I found three different flowers forming. I unfortunately had to remove and destroy the last tester.
It got up to about 82 degrees with the new bulb the first day so I thought maybe it was that but since Mrgreenjeans had his last one hermie I'm thinking genetics as you said it may be.. here are some side pics thank you!!!
You are absolutely correct. Stabilization is required. Luckily I've Begin work on this as of a month ago to hopefully straight out the strains with an F2 or F3 generation. Our sincerest apologies.
I'm finding this peculiar, neither of the parents showed any style of hermaphrodite at all. It must be a recessive gene that will have to be worked out.
My last Smurf punch left looks like it's getting balls but I'll let it go a couple days to see for sure!!
CCG, no need to apologize. If I had to guess I would have said it may be related to a recessive gene. Once you have the next batch worked out let me know I would love to give them another try.
