Okay, here's another update. :redbong: We're at the start of week 4 of flower now. Just did a res change and started week 4 of Useless' formula. Things are looking healthy and growing at a nice rate. The plants have stopped all their stretching now and are in full bud mode, finally. This strain should end up going right around 11 weeks so I think the buds are looking pretty nice for only being 3 weeks of flower. Trichome production has begun as well, and they are starting to get their aroma now. All in all I think we're right on schedule. I raised the lights up as high as they can go and I am cranking the Co2 at 1400 PPM now. Temps are 82 degrees at canopy level. Rel Hum is 40%-50% Here they are as of today. asssit:
Bredren You have a jungle on your hands. I think theres wildlife growing in there. The trellis looks like its gonna blow from the growth. Mighty Imprssive buddy
Thanks man. They have filled in nicely. On future runs I will be able to remove all the lower undergrowth bud sites before moving them to the flower room. These ones are mighty bushy and are gonna have a fair amount of leafy popcorn buds on the bottom half of the plants. I can't wait to get the other table up and running too. asssit:
Okie dokie. Update on the Luna. We are in the beginning of week 6 now. Day 37 to be exact. I've been giving them Week 4 nutrients since week 4, but since the beginning of week 5 I have cut the base nutes by 50% and started adding the MOAB at 1 tsp. per 5 gallons of solution. They are taking that well and packing on some size and weight now. The frostiness is amazing already and I have harvested buds that were this size from this strain before on previous grows. They seem to be liking the MOAB and Co2 supplementation. All in all I'm happy so far with tis run and how the Luna is performing. Here are a few pics. These are the soil Lunas that mrsganjah started months ago and we are just now flowering out. They are not nearly as large as the Hydro girls, but they are root bound in their pots and are doing okay for what they are. Now for the Blueberry Hempys. They are also a project that mrsganjah started months ago along with the Soil Luna plants. They too are root bound i their containers. They never got the nitrogen they wanted during the forst week of flower and are showing signs of N def. We have been feeding them as much as possible, but the Blueberry is more sensitive to overfeeding so we have to be careful. The buds are still looking pretty good though and she should make some adequate smoke for our own personal use. The Blues are on the far left, far right, and front. In the middle are a couple of Triple OG plants I'm testing out. The Soil Lunas are in the back.
:coolbounce::bravo: Looking great over there Ras, i see the purple is starting to show in those Lunas, those buds are nice and frossssssssty
Thanks Gringo. The Luna turns a nice lavender color later in flower. The color is second to the sweet taste and awesome potency of the strain. Thanks for checking in! :thumbs-up:
:coool: Glad you've been checking in. I always appreciate any feedback. A few of the ones right under the light bolted under the heat and intense light directly under the bulb. Those colas won't be as solid, but more small round buds. I've been considering light diffusers to remedy the hot spot under the bulbs. I am running 1k watt bulbs and they are fairly close to the tops of the plants. I have limited height to work with. The frost on them is even thicker now. They smell wonderful like Vanilla/Melon/Berry/Creamsavers. The purps are starting to come out too. Things are looking pretty good. asssit:
BB-Thanks man. The Luna is always a pleasing plant to grow. She's easy on care. Resistant to most pests and diseases, sturdy and short, and a good producer. She's a pleaser! Seeing her do her thing makes me not so sad that I don't have and can't get any of those sick Genetics you're growing at the moment. CC-Thanks a lot CC, I appreciate that! I hope it proves to be a heavy yield. I know the buds are good and dense, and seem to be of a decent size for this stage of flowering. I have 28 plants in the table. If I can Average 1.75 ounces per plant, I'll crack the 3 lb mark on this table and that would make me happy. I have my head smoke going in the back flower room, so I don't need any of what's in the table, it's all going to our patients. :new_blackey:
Update start of week 1 and 8? Okay sooo I finally have both tables up and running in the Flower room. I had 23 healthy blueberry plants of roughly the same size and I threw in 3 Master Kushes just to help fill in the table a little. There are a few empty spots still but in future runs the tables will always have 32 plants. Still I'm happy to have SOMETHING in the table finally. So here are few pics of the Blueberry plants that just went into the flower room. In the veg room just before I moved them to the Flower Room. In their new home. Now for the Blueberry plants I have flowering in the extra flower room. They are entering week 8 of flower now and are looking good. The buds are dense and stinky as hell. The smell of this strain i soo amazing! Full room shot of the extra Flower Room. The Buds And finally the Luna. They are also entering week 8 of flower. Looking frosty and fat and starting to show some signs of ripening. Here they are. This is a shot of the Luna in the extra flower room growing in soil. It looks good too. :redbong::new_blackey:
Thanks for checkin in bredren. Your Purple Redneck is crazy beautiful and I'm sure it is as awesome to smoke as it is to look at. On the Vanilluna front; To my surprise or maybe more like to my delight, the Luna seems to be ready for her flush a couple weeks earlier than I remember her taking to finish. In previous grows I always let her go 11 weeks, but we're at the end of week 8 and I see that she's got about 20% amber trichs and starting to foxtail a bit. I'm gonna start a quick flush tomorrow using Flora Kleen and then plain water for the last few days for an 8 day flush. Looks like she'll go 9 weeks! I'm stoked! :coolbounce: Only bad thing is that my Master Kush are gonna need a little more than a week to get to a size to flower and so the table will sit empty for a week or two. :icon_confused: Oh well. Live and learn. :redbong: Now the Blueberries that I have going are looking like they may need to go 11 weeks when I always let them go 10 weeks before this. :wtf?: I dunno. Either way it all makes sense according to the breeder descriptions of the strains. Luna is supposed to be faster than the Blueberry.
So it looks like you are trading one for the other... But sounds like you will enjoying your best harvest to date. Very happy to hear Bredren. Im having HIGH hopes for the next crop I have coming... The maries and mon cheri. Reports from Fusion is The emperors haze side reaked of dark cherries.... hoping for that trait in a pheno here.
Dark Cherries sounds pleasant. Hopefully you'll find a nice one with those characteristics. It looks like the Blueberry is just about ready as well. So We're flushing everything and chopping in a week or so. I took a couple of the very lower branches off and trimmed up a few popcorn buds to test out when they're dry in a few days.
