drop in the ph down, let it run for 2hours or so, then add nutes and check it 24hours later

IMO - if your needed to adjust ph prior to adding nutes, you might want to R/O it up!

Possible but not always necessary ....there's bigger issues that require r.o....Ph is just finding a sweet spot of nutrition to ratio of water

True, I just can't believe he's having this much of any issue with his PH using the useleSs formula.:wtf?::danger:

Midnight what's you ppm levels on your plain tap water? :popcorn-2:

I'm curious if you have hard water or not .... If your tap water ppm levels are above 300 then you should probably be using the hard water nutes.

My ppm for the tap water is around 205/225. I am using the hard water micro. I have a five gallon bucket going now that I added 10ml of ph down to, the ph dropped to 5.9. I am going to add the nutes in a couple of hours and then check the ph again tomorrow night like CC said.

K that's cool. I have a question for you though... Have you tried regular( non hard water) nutes? My tap ppm is about 220-240 ppm and I use the regular?

At the beginning of this grow I am doing now I actually got the regular micro and used it a couple of times before I realized it. I ended up having issues because my tds meter was out of calibration and I used the wrong micro. Once I got that straightened out my nute issues went away. Now I just need to get the ph to work right without having it swing so bad and I'll be golden.

See...I use the regular as well and I'm around 6.8 & 200+ppm........we may have found ur mini issue

I added the nutes about an hour ago to my bucket, the water I ph'd two hours before to 5.8 was at 6.8. I dropped in week two formula and when I checked the ph it was immediately at 6.2. and 870 ppm. I'll be checking it again tomorrow night like you suggested.

Dude what at hell is in your water ... :wtf?::BangHead: your ph should not be jumping around like that.... Something fishy is going on.....

Literally it should be so simple... I just don't know why your having these issue..something is going on to cause Your PH to jump... I mean my mix will drift down to a 5.4 - 5.5 occasionally and thats usually about 3-4 days in and is normal... Usually pops up to about 6 when I top off with regular water on the 4 th day and I let it sit that way until the end of the weak when her res is change. Unless she screams at me to adjust it I leave it lol as long as I'm in ball bark range...

But you my friend haven something going on that were missing.... You should not have to adjust that much at all ...

The fact that I don't have these Ph problems with my DWC makes me a little bit nervous. But than again, can we ever get Ph to be and remain perfect? Most of these plants can handle some drift without losing yield and quality. Not irregular drastic drifts, but isn't there some natural drift to be expected?

Absolutely , 5.5 - 6.0 is pretty much an acceptable range . 5.8 being the most I deal but I usually set mine to 5.9 - 6.0 because it will drift slightly down half way through the week...

    That's the Ph range guideline I use.:thumbs-up:

Checked the ph of the water I had bubbling last night, it was at 6.6, checked it again this morning, still at 6.6. Oddly enough the solution in the dwc is still holding at 5.8. I started the water in the dwc on saturday, plain water at 5.8. It drifted to 6.8, I added the nutes on sunday and ph'd it back to 5.8, it's still 5.8.

Hey CC, how much epsom salt should I add to my dwc for a magnesium deficiency? There are aprox. 3 gallons of feed solution in the five gallon bucket.
