Think you might need to clear your browser cache Ras... the files are very big so it sounds like they half loaded then timed out and are saved in your cache that way.

Thanks for the support Lion and Res. I'd just like to say right now that GK got me where I am today, and I really appreciate all of the members and moderators that make this free exchange of cutting edge, high quality, difficult to find information available. The warm acceptance of new members and high levels of varied experience make this the best grower's community I've found to date.

Growkind, We Rule. Thank you all for shepherding me into the flock.

    day 48

Hi guys, been a bit since the last update. almost to the start of week 8, planning on starting flush soon... chopping probably around day 70. I need need high CBD levels for my migraines, and my patient does as well for his back pain. The euphoria is supposed to have high CBD, the F13 less so, but the F13 is also (according to multiple other growers) a longer cycle strain, 10+ weeks.

gotta get a magnifying glass back from my patient to check the crystals.

the nutes got a little off over the last week for both crops. oh well... it's close now, so I'm not stressing. my patient also kinda messed up the buckets, but we're getting so much more than I expected (I was planning for 1 lb when I started this, by the way) that I'm not too upset. I ran outta bloombastic, but I'm only using molasses in the last 2 weeks anyway, so the

E&F is missing it for 1 watering.

I also called a lawyer today and got legal advice regarding my grow op size. basically I'm safe from the cops if I don't grow a lot of plants at once. I'll make a FAQ bound grow thread titled "Maximizing your medical marijuana card in limited space" if you all show interest. I've decided to go with an 8 by 8 box for 2 people with about 10 plants in veg and 4 in flowering. I'm going to meet my limit with only 4 plants in flowering at any given time, and will be harvesting perpetually (on about a 2.5-3 week cycle).

    PICS

If you want to see my bud development, take a look at this one. I've taken 2 pictures of it so far, and it hasn't moved inside the box in probably 3 weeks. it's an excellent reference.

(A leaf was dying off where it met the stem for no reason that I could discern whatsoever, and it looked like the dead spot was spreading up and down the stem. I assumed the worst and cut it off, just in case it was early bud mold. It's quite literally 3mm of spread. you all would not believe how carefully I watch my stuff.)

Great looking grow stinky! How many weeks old/tall are the plants when you put the tomato cages around them? Does it work well keeping everything upright?

  4. SirStynkalot

    SirStynkalot A Fat Sticky Bud

cages work great. absolutely great. I'm using them for all the rest of my non-DWC grows. works a lot better than trellis netting, and allows the plants to be moved individually. the colas really hold each other up inside the cage, and the cage keeps the outside colas contained.

I put them on when they were roughly 15 inches wide and a little under 12 tall if memory serves... less than a week before I took the first set of pictures for this grow thread. Best to put them in cages before they get so big you have to beat them to get them inside.

I don't really include veg time in my plants' age counts. I'm not working with a lot of light in my veg room, so I tend to keep them small and get them very bushy and well established before I start to flower them. I don't think I've flowered a plant with less than 6 weeks from the time it was cut from its mom under its belt. well, one grow, but that's it. I just keep them small and get solid rooting... a week or two under HID lighting puts all the growth on top I need, but the roots take longer to develop well.

nowai... then again, I am using a lot more lumens per plant than you.

Still, I'll believe you when you say that about the harvest pics :p

Thanks for the kind words guys. an update is coming later tonight... for now, I'm getting stupid high with my girls. I only have... 6-7 days until the first and 17 days until the last of them are gone.

Started flush on the Ebb and Flow yesterday. Started flush on the soil Euphoria today. Gave the Soil F13s full strength flower nutes, and will start the flush on them in about 4 days. F13 takes about 2 weeks longer than Euphoria to mature it looks like, so i'm splitting the difference, chopping the Euphoria a week late, and the F13 about a half a week earlier than I'd prefer. chopping Euphoria in the middle of week 9, F13 at week 11.

Oh, and my patient was telling me yesterday that he deserved a bigger cut from this harvest than we'd previously agreed upon, because of all of the extra work he did. I learned a thing or two from him, but I've seriously spent 80% of the time I was on his half of the grow cleaning up after his mistakes. How do you tell someone that they should be paying you extra for babysitting instead of vice versa? GAAAAAAH!

    Day 56

hydro has been flushing 5 days, Soil Euphoria have been flushing for 4 days, and Soil F13 just started today. Getting close to chop! 4-5 days on the E&F, and we'll have to see on the rest of the box. I'm probably going to give them 14 more days, for a total of 14 on the F13 and 19 on the Euph.

The Ebb and Flow yellowed very quickly because my patient didn't put base nutes in during the last week of supposedly full feeding. It should be done flushing faster than normal because feeding just bloombastic makes plants eat themselves very quickly.

The buds are too heavy for the stems. the colas are bending the stems over the side of the tomato cages to the point that they're about ready to snap. SUCCESS!

E&F Euphoria (bad pic... The leaves are very yellow, which, combined with HPS lighting, completely screwed the cellphone cam focus.)

    thanks man!

I pinched a cola for the weekend because frankly I didn't want to drag the girlfriend off to buy a bag. I speed dried some of it and smoked some of it air dried but not cured.

One average sized Ebb and Flow cola I'm guesstimating weighed about 9-10 grams dry. It really makes me want to go count colas, now that I have a point of reference...

It's GOOD smoke. It was very harsh because it wasn't flushed or dried properly, but it's already incredibly effective medication for my condition. I can't wait to see the dried and cured product!

    Day 57

    Ebb and Flow side chopped!

The patient decided he wanted them to come down. I thought they should go until thursday (3 more days) but he's the boss of his side. I'm definitely making it clear to any future patients that I'm the boss of the grow.... but for now, I'm happy to take a pretty healthy harvest and call it a learning experience.

Looking at roughly 2-3 ounces per plant, I think. I'll post dry weights in a few days.

Soil plants have probably 10 and 13 days until chop... depends on how fast they yellow up.

    those fuckin things are NUG-TASTIC!!!

They look to be about the same size as the ones at my BIG garden....(The one with 3 lights.....so big)

anyway, shit looks fuckin awesome dude. well done.

  14. SirStynkalot

    SirStynkalot A Fat Sticky Bud

Final weight on the Ebb and Flow half is in at 644 grams (22.7 oz). It is 71.5 gpw, and around 3 3/4 ounces a plant. That's just under twice what I was expecting from that side.

The soil half is still flushing, and is coming down one week from today. I have all 3 600w lights on over the 6 plants, so they're just bathing in light. MORE SOON TO COME

the soil side harvested at about 19 oz.

My patient swindled me out of my profit margin of his half of the crop. I went and looked at the books and he ended up getting about $50 an hour for his work (and 3/4 oz rent on each ballast), and I got 9.50 an hour for mine on his half. And no reimbursement for sharing my space, growing his veg plants and giving them to him, or security. He basically shook me down for 6 oz the day before harvest then ran away as fast as he could, and sold all his shit to my friends.

On top of that, the DEA and FBI busted a bunch of my other friends in my small ass town last week, and my card went out of date a few days ago (my doc dropped off the face of the earth). I had to chop down all my veg plants until I get reauthorized.

I'm so pissed I can't handle myself. I'm considering just quitting growing. At least I'll have the soil half of the crop to smoke on while I'm thinking about it.
