lol, i moved from out west. where there's this fluffy stuff called POWDER. it's not skiing here, it's 'icing'. i like to ski where the snow floats along as high as my tits. can i do that here? and i also like to ski on a hill where it takes longer than 5 minutes from top to bottom for the run, because the mountain is over 10000 feet high.... lol

yeah, it's going to be a shocker this year. we'll see if the dust stays on the skis or not....

Grown in Tx. Locked and Loaded

I stopped smokin for a week, said screw it on a sat. went and passed UA on monday. No body fat though. In Tx. a new roof starts around 3k. Man fix it up if you got the $ and time off to do it. I love doin residential remodeling, although I loved roofing it is a major deal in summer, here if you can till winter it's allways cheaper, but it don't snow much in s.e. Tx. You need to find a man secure enough in his manhood thats not intimidated by a strong willed bad ass woman like yourself.

  3. Yeah, nothing that tall in these parts lol. I have the grace of a bull, so skiing/snowboarding is something I no longer even try (the last time i went I ended up in the trees 500' off the lifts with a sprained ankle and had to get carted down the mountain)

Snow conditions vary. If there is another winter like this past one you'll be happy as a pig in shit lol. And hell, we had a 6mo winter, early/late will be iffy conditions, but there will be some time with some great powder riding

Putting in an offer this weekend. It's a short sale - guy has to get out of there asap, and he's lowered the price twice already.

Lots of cosmetic stuff for me to do, some major stuff like remodel kitchen and refinish hardwood, and a little fencing. NOTHING I can't do myself.

AAAAANNNNNDDDDD..... It's got an AMAZING secret basement lair for growing!!!Bigger hideable space than I originally intended, so guess who's gonna bump it up to 2x1000W? This crazy cat!!!!

Now - my beloved GK friends, keep your fingers crossed he accepts my offer, and no one cuts in on me.....

east coast skiing is diff than west coast but give it a chance...i lived in rutland, vt near killington and pico for 8 years , went to school there and picked up a wife as well before i moved down south in 1980...they make great snow now a days....some ice but not like 25 years ago...

so snap into your K-2's and plan a trip for next winter....feb is best month...

good luck on the bid on your house...hope you have time to do everything you want to do...and guess what you alway have the option of getting carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and flooring people anytime to do what you cant, wont, or dont have time for...

    good luck

  7. Rutland and that surround area is awesome. I worked in that area daily for years. One of my favorite drives ever is still rt 100, had a nice little Stoney down it last week as a matter of fact.

If it wasn't for work/family I'd probably live in VT, but where I'm at now isint all that bad!

GTWT is it the place ya were looking at before or somewhere else?

    Different.

The first house I had scoped out ended up being beyond a nightmare. the foundation was so fucked, i was scared to stand next to it. inside, walking on the floor was like an acid flashback - so wavy! no shit, the place should've been condemned. thing that sucks is the land was absolutely stellar.

new place has much more potential. it's very livable now, just a bit dated for my taste. time to demo!!!!

If you can swing a metal roof, good for you. That's the ticke.

my Parents have our old parsonage and the garage (former stable) has metal. If you you treat it regularly, it'll last forever.

LOL, thanks for the offer :)

I used to catch a little grief from mr. T, because he's been in the carpentry business off and on for years, and when he met me, he found a chick that had more power tools than him! ha ha He'd say 'this is embarrassing, can I just tell my friends that these are all mine?'

standing seam is the way to go, you may pay 20% more today but, you wont have to REinvest that 10-15k in 20 years for another asphalt roof system

YOu can find old world guys, like amish or mennonites to do a roof out of coil stock and a break, saves thousands and its exactlyl ike the metal systems they send out

I recently put one on a shed I build on my property, shingles=5k....bought system of metal=6900....amish guys=4100 and itll last for 50 years plus!
