Fusion Beta Test: Pre 98 Bubba X Bubba/Afghan

Ok, so we have 90% germination rate at this point. 9 of 10 seeds have germinated and are in cups with soil. They'll be up and growing in the next few days and I will snap a pic of them. asssit:

Well, bump the germination rate up to 100% cuz we had a late bloomer that cracked today and that makes it 10 out of 10. Not surprised at all with that. Fusion seeds are quality. asssit:

 

I've been busy and slacking on certain aspects of my grow.... But I'm back on top of things. I used a new soil for the Double Bubbaghani and I am not happy with it. I bought some more Roots Organics 707 and they are getting transplanted tonight and moved to the flowering room. I will throw up a few pics in a couple days.

 

Ras what soil did you try?


I used a mix of 2 parts ROOTS 707 to 1 part Fox Farms Happy Frog and some myco, bacteria, tricoderma for the seedlings. For the transplant into the final pots Im using a 3:1 mix of ROOTS 707: Fox Farms Ocean Forest and same mixe of Myco, Bacteria, and tricoderma. If you look at my current grow You will see my babies are happy, HAPPY, HAPPY!....LOL

 

Alrighty!.... So it's been forever since I updated this thread, but for good reasons. I had a bad Powdery Mildew problem that had to be dealt with. I believe that I finally have it beaten through the use of a DIY sulphur burner and H2o2 foliar treatments it looks like the PM is finally banished from my grow.


Unfortunately due to the stress of all the other treatments I tried and neglect on my part due to lack of enthusiasm about my grow because of the ongoing issues with the PM I lost most of the plants I had going of this strain.


Initially I had what I think were 6 or 7 out of 10 that were females. I lost all but 2 of the healthiest looking females. I stripped them of all their deal leaves and branches and have been treating them regularly with H2o2 to ensure that they are not harboring any spores that will compromise the grow later down the road. I'm satisfied that they are disease free now.


Moving forward I will be taking clones from each one soon and then flowering the mothers out to see what kind of traits I get from them. They started to go into flower mode unfortunately due to a timer error on my veg lighting so they are transitioning back to veg right now. As soon as I have some healthy new vegetative growth they will be cloned.


I have 2 distinctly different phenos from what I can tell so far. Since they started to flower a bit I was able to get a preview of what they smell like. They smell comp[letely different from one another. One is decidedly Bubba Kush smelling. Very classic Bubba Kush smell that is unmistakeable. The other looks very similar in structure but has a completely different piney with a hint of citrus maybe. Almost no Kushy smell as of yet anyway. Both are very strong in the aroma department and both smell very pleasant so I look forward to good things from them in the near future.


No pics as of yet since they really aren't much to look at right now. But once things get to looking healthy and happy I will throw up pics, especially of the flower process. I realize that by now others have already flowered this strain out and are working with it currently but I do intend to finish what I started.


Ohh And I've been kicking around a few names for the strain. First I was calling it Double Bubbaghani. Then it evolved into Redneck Rasta Kush. I also like the sound of Redneck Mountain Kush, or Hillbilly Mountain Kush. My friends like Redneck Rasta Kush a lot.It does have a nice sound to it.

I know Useless.... I know.... Brother. I truly planned on having this strain done and the other one too. Sometimes life gets in the way and throws us curveballs we weren't expecting.


I will say that I'm excited to see how the 2 I still have will turn out. The aromas are very enticing and if they are this stinky at such an early stage of flower then I know they will be dank! Thanks again! asssit:
