Well I don't grow auto's, therefore I have never tried the formula on them. But I don't see any reason why you couldn't adjust the schedule around it.
cheers will do, keeping a record from start to finish, hopefully i'll be back in 43 day with good news lol, cheers
a Few weeks back I was having issues with lock out I switch to GH and your formula and bam a few days later the plants had recovered!....:beerchug-2:
Thanks a million useless!!! Everybody spoke so highly of you gh 3 part formula I hade to try it. I was usin shultz concentrated fertz for hydro during veg and flower. ( yes the same nutes) so my results where good for me cuz it was my first grow but when I see eerybody elses results I'm out in the cold. So I wentto my locAl hydro store and bought a gallon of each gh 3 parts. I can't wait to try it out. My plants have been vegginf for about 5 months now and they are still whimpy. My question is should I start with week 1 formula or week 3 formla? Also should I use ur formula at 1/4 strength when starting or don't. Adjust at all and use as directed by useless? Thanks fo all the help:beerchug-2: asssit:
Vegging for 5 months should mean you have some pretty big plants. You said they are kinda of "wimpy" though. So I would start with week 2 veg formula to get them on track. As directed. Week two isn't too strong of a mix and works well for anything beyond a rooted clone.
at five weeks they should be monsters when comparing with my first grow. But they are like 6 - 8 inches tall. Crazy little for me. Thanks for the advice I'll start with week two. I'm wondering if it's the strain causing such slow growth or the nutes. Hopefuly withur feeding schedual they will be monsters soon. They are starting to show sex though so the one plant I topped is a female. And the plants are on 24 hr light cycle.
hey use..... been using your gh formula but i dont use plain water till the flush been working excellent thought you may like to know...... i know you said use plain water on weekends but thought i`d say it is not needed so far 4 crops and they have all taken it fine.
Just for the record....I only gave straight water once maybe twice throughout my grows with the formula. Im not saying I recommend it, just saying its what I did and had no issues regarding burn or salt buildups. Thats not including the 14 day flush however. But if you feed as directed and the plant is healthy which they should definately be provided pH is right I found the plain waterings wasnt needed Again though, Im not telling anyone to do this, trust the man, just saying I didnt do any plain waterings and had no ill effects. I turn most everyone I talk to onto this formula :thumbs-up: Cheers Useless
Let me ask, are you guys using RO water? If you notice I when I made this formula I was using tap water in the 300+ ppm and 7.4-9.0 ph range. Therefore the weekly flush was required. Using RO I notice I could let the solution go two weeks with no problems, however, I always follow the recipe and change out every week, because in my system the solution is always about 50% diluted from top off at the end of one week. But I do run a lot of light, and that also has an effect. If I let the solution run for two weeks with plain water top off, at the end of week 2 I notice the plants are not as stout, and healthy. To me, it's worth the extra few bucks in nutes every crop to insure total health throughout the plant cycle. Are you topping off with plain water? Or a using a full or percentage nute solution? Seriously guys, any information you have that can help with this formula, please post it up. I am always looking for better, more efficient ways to work things. However, sacrificing stability for convenience just doesn't make sense to me. So, help me help you. Give as much feedback as possible, including set up, watts, system and strain so I can tweak this formula for the better. Cheers and thanks for all the input.
i am a dirt farmer .......lol but the formula works!!!!! i use soil so no ressy 1000w light in a cooltube 600cfm fan 4 x 4 x 7 room nutes every water useless 3 part formula 6.8 on the ph tap water flush for 14 day`s Keep It Simple i add 5ml floralicious bloom each feed and 5ml koolbloom in week 5 and six. big donkey cola`s have grown mr. nice trainwreck bluberry ak-47 afi willie nelson and NL #5 so far and they all love it more strains to come this formula rocks!!!!
Has anybody ever given this formula a try in coco? I am waiting on my clones to root and then I'll be making the switch from FFOF to coco. I've been reading almost every coco thread on ICmag and THCFarmer and wondered if this formula would work or if I should go with the lower ppm H3ad formula? Coco seems to have an issue with salt build up but a day of flush a week should solve that.
Go with the H3AD formula. The problem is that coco coir contains K. It naturally releases it with moisture. You will end up with a K overdose around week 4 of flower if you use my formula in coco. So you see a slight K overdose, and give it a flush, but you just added more K from the coco. Then you add more nutes like normal, and by the end of week 6 you have a big problem. The key is to use a balanced formula that takes the natural K in the coir into account from the beginning. H3ADS recipe does that. I have yet to dial in my formula for use with coco, and H3ADS formula is tested and true, gotta go with that imo. Looks like I gotta work something out for my formula with coco now, see if I can do better than H3ADS formula, but in the meantime I would say that is the baseline for a fert recipe in coco coir. Cheers. PS- Thanks for the info nobogart.
I can't remember who posted the Xcel version of Useless's formula but I am wondering if it can be made into a 10 week flower cycle? The program that is. Thanks
It was Spinkler . . . here it is . . you could PM and ask, but I'm pretty sure the flowering weeks was adjustable. http://www.growkind.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38765&highlight=Spreadsheet Hope that helps . . .
10 Week formula Already done for a friend. Veg - week 1 5-2.5-2.5-400/600 week 2 10-5-3- 600/800 week 3 12-6-3 800/1000 (continue week 3 formula if additional veg time is required.) Bloom week 1 6-6-10- 800/1200 week 2 3-7-12 - 1000/1400 week 3 3-8-14 - 1000/1400 week 4 3-8-16 - 1000/1400 week 5 3-8-16 - 1000/1400 week 6 (discussed in detail below*) week 7 0-7-20 - 1000/1400 week 8 0-6-20 week 9 and 10 - plain ph'd water
Great thanks! The only problem I have is that I have to pull them out of the cab/light and into the room area to do week 9 and 10. Due to the perpetual grow being set up for 8 weeks. HOw bad is keeping them out under regular shop lights for 2 weeks while flushing? Am I loosing much or is this a big no no?
What you'll find is the final flowers won't be as dense. IME, the buds really pack on the density in the last few weeks.
I have White Sour Diesel and I don't know how many weeks she is. The only time I had good results is when I first done your Formula but I started week one of yours about 2 weeks after I had it in flower all ready. So the only thing I can come up with is that WSD is a 10 week strain. I am going to allow 10 full weeks of flower under the light minus 14 day flush. Which will still be under the light but in flush. I cloned some Sensi Star and they will be up for flower in about a month. I think that is an 8 week strain? Thanks for the info on flush light. :not-worthy:
