Girlscout Cookie, BB's Cheese & Dabney Blue under INDUS LED light bars

See you're getting winter colors too. Every garden I like this plant more. Even when everything goes to shit, it grows solid sugary buds. When you hit everything just right, it gives bigger solid sugary buds. A few cool nights and the buds go reddish purple and all those showy trichs look even better. A snap to trim as a bonus. BB sure had a winner with this one.

Ok lessoned learned! When defoliating to this level at 2-3 weeks it best to not remove what would be considered a normal amount of the lower growth. I really shot my self in the foot this round by not paying attention & just stripping the under growth like I normally would .. The buds are stellar, nice and solid as expected but there was a ton of light hitting nothing but dirt.. The average yield for this round was down by a good 3 zips compared to the previous 5 or 6 rounds.. Not exactly what I wanted to see.. All part of the learning curve I suppose so no worries right?

I'll post a picture later for comparison but the next round is 4 in weeks, defoliated at 2 1/2ks with very little of the lower growth removed. They're all covered in buds top to bottom & if I had to guess I'd say there's close to 30% more bud site than the previous round. Should be a good run.

 

Back to our regularly scheduled program.. 5 weeks in & looking much better this round.

It's a mixed lot Res. Dabney is in the center with a Lemonberry to the right, the rest are BB's cheese and Girl Scout Cookie.

 

Looking at the girls after being defoliated and seeing them at 5 weeks in makes me think I should consider upping my plant count per round.. hmm.

Rolling through week 6 and I'm beginning to think something's not quite right. While the stalks are definitely packed with bud sites and the plants are nice and healthy the buds are still a little bit soft for being this far into flower. Usually by now both BB's Cheese and GSC would very firm if not hard buds. With almost 3 1/2 weeks to go there's still plenty of time for them to bulk so I'm not overly concerned just yet. If I had to guess I'd say the feel about a week behind.

I had some scheduling issues the kept me off the farm right at the 3 week mark so I trimmed them 4 days or so early and again near the end of week 3. I'm assuming that the second trimming stressed them a bit and they slowed down while recovering...

 

Even if its light, some bud is better than no bud, I will take credit for that saying. Lol.

Ok couple more questions. Is the GSC normally a smaller yeild than most strains of its quality? Also have you seen the GSC X GG4 cross thats out? "Gorilla cookies". Also a couple other ones look pretty good.
