I'm using the same organic soils mix Res ,DXE and a few other here on GK use. It's basically wet it and forget it with one feeding of Alaska fish fert during veg if I have to veg them more than 4 weeks before being transplanted.

During flower I'll begin adding cal-mag to every watering at either week two or three depending on what's in the garden. For example Cheese doesn't need shit until week 3 But the Dabney will want cal-mag by week 2.

Five weeks in they all get one feeding of either Dramm K or Alaskas Moorebloom- depending on which my local garden center has on hand.
and molasses! , I give them black strap molassss a few times towards the end of flowering.

 

i've left even more of the lower growth untouched this round.

 

That's the ticket brother Duc. With BB's Cheese I don't do more than plant it and let it run. A little molasses in flower and she's good. Less is more philosophy of growing.

 

Most of the round was harvested tonight, just few more to finish up tomorrow. Looks like another light round but not too bad for being stressed the way they were. If I had to guess I'd say it'll be down by 3-4 zips and that doesn't put a smile on this farmers face, a fair trade I suppose for the lessoned learned..

Generally no! On just about every other run GSC will pack on quite a bit more girth & weight. You can usually count on 2.5 zips per plant, no less than 2 and sometimes 3. This round the two GSC combined only produced 3.2 zips Defoliating and stressing the garden beyond the 3 week mark has proved to be a costly lesson.

WOW that was painful. Just jarred everything up and I'm down by a good 8 ounces this round.

The next defoliated round is 4 weeks in and looks promising so far but I really won't be able to tell for sure for another week or so. If they're doing it right the buds will be well formed & pretty solid felling midway through week 5.
