a few quick shots of Dabney showing her winter colors.

 

She gets pretty in cold gardens. Got a bunch almost finished and am loving the colorations that come out at 55f night temps.

 

55f... hmm might have to give that a try.

With the use of a small panel heater I was able to keep the temp in the mid to upper 60's at night, I haven't experimented anything too much cooler at least not on purpose anyway. I've always worried about letting the roots & soil get too cold and slowing nutrient uptake..

 

Keep the pots up off the floor and let it get cold the last 2 weeks or so. I do it as a practical matter to save on heat bills in the winter but really enjoy the colors it brings out.

 

shit this march came in like a lion around me. hail all over, roads flooded etc. they had highway closed

I'm mid west, we go hammered all night, tornadoes, everything flooded, my yard is a disaster.

We are preparing the area for aquaponics, left wheel barrow out and it's literally filled with water just shy a couple inches from top

 

Cold then less cold then cold. It's fuckin' winter.
