smoking the leaf around where the ball sacs form is a good way to test your males potency...when breeding cannabus you want good genes from both male an female plants an creating great plants means you want good genes from both parents....so yes males produce tricomes just not like a female..but when it comes to breeding you still need to check...peace az

Similar story but different outcome: I made bhang (pot milk) with...I think 2.. males. I was convinced it wasn't gonna work either, but soon enough we were cheesing out like we used to in High School :laughing5:

if you clip a bud off of a flowering plant in a couple of weeks a new one grows back, you can do this over and over several times

Every time you clip off a bud you get two in its place..........


.......I guess if you do this early enough in flower it could be true, but I am talking so early that it would be pointless to smoke what you clipped.

 

I actually did do the lightbulb thing back when I was a whipper snapper.

i know too many people who are 'extremely experienced' to them, and they havent grown a single plant, some people and their magical expertise....


if you douse your buds in water each week, you will get more bud per site is some bullshit ive heard many times .... this would do nothing except unnecessarily run the risk of mould and of the plant being too heavy and falling over..

BUT, :qbluewacko: I have to admit, after some research, I am putting diluted um....Bladder secretions in my compost pile, It's more of a biodynamic or organic treatment, though, and it's definitely NOT urinating ON the plants...:icon_confused: The only thing I had heard about it before the biodynamic stuff was just AROUND outdoor grows to ward off deer....

 

does that work? pissing on random trees around the crop to keep deer away?

A close (male)buddy swears by it ...I personally had a really hard time "doing it", maybe a different method of app it would work better for me, lol:laughing5: ....I felt kindof exposed.....But I could see what the point is....


They get all up in my garden all the time, and the more of my scent that is out there, the less they bug it. I used some soap shavings last year...they still ate my grapes, lol,:5headache: but they really didn't bother anything else....But the grapes were pretty isolated away from the main garden, and who can help but eat yummy grapes?....

In my ec mix, in a 50 litre plastic jug is a mixture of many things, water,


egg shells, orange juice, my own piss, some coffeegrounds, and even a slow release conifer 18-18-18, like a peters professional. but i do not piss on my plants. Now for my commercial crop, bio-bizzzzzzzzzzzzzz, and all the related products, but those products are expensive. I like a nice sweet taste on my perosnal weed, as far as henrys, i could give a shit. I just need the densest buds known to man.

Yah, pissing on your plant directly is not good.....but yes, urine in general can be "composted" (commune kids use a fermentation method, just like any other fertilizer) and used on plants....


As for KEEPING DEER away, I was always under the impression that deer were attracted to our urine by the ammonia, But I could be perfectly wrong....probably something they told us in Boy Scouts to keep us from pissing all around the place

 

I'm reluctant to mention it....


But I've been reading up on biodynamics, and it mentions that burning certain pest carcasses and spreading the ashes around will deter them:icon_confused: ...The quote was actually more about slugs and smaller pests, but the whole point was if they smell the remnants of their "brethren", they will avoid the area...I don't know where I'm going to be able to burn a deer (No problem finding one, lol...:icon_confused: ) But it's pretty strange, and logical at the same time....But still curious....:qbluewacko:


I dunno for sure 100% on the "marking " your territory as far as the deer are concerned, but alot have become so used to us, that it may very well attract them, or bears...lol....:icon_confused: ...I didn't think of that, Lion....
