Reason I ask if you have ever climbed is because it will increase your scrambling skill considerably. It teaches you balance and different ways to move your body while keeping it 'centered'. I'm in the process of teaching my wife and she's getting to be quite the little 'scrambler' herself. I figure anything that helps keep her safe is a good thing. :ebert:

This very spot (pictured on the previous page) is one of my favorite climbing spots. In fact....I used to climb the very cap rock that I proposed on with my ex-wife. :mashed: Those are days long gone but I still have all my gear. I'm mainly in to top-roping (much the same as a climbing wall you find at the fair...only bigger)....I'm not a nut job that likes to do multi-pitches. Just rig up a top rope, get ripped, and then have fun climbing on a nice face. It's a total blast and everyone gets to take a turn while the others look on. Ahhh...good times. :anibong: If ya do make it out here....I'll get ya on that rock.

    Thanks :thumbs-up:

Herb - I have tried a few of the rock walls; I actually have a buddy in Utah who built one on the side of his house! You don't realize how weak your little fingers and toes are until you really try and challenge yourself. I'd love to get into it more - there's more than enough places around here to do it. Balance isn't my forte though - I was the gawky ugly duckling growing up, now I'm just a klutz! It's been a challenge as I build my skiing skills too :mashed:

Soooo, you took a picture of her, taking a picture? :roffl:

I built my own wall in my back yard. That was fun as hell. Too bad the ex got it. :fingermad:

So...a klutz eh? You and my wife are even more alike than I thought. She's what I like to call a 'graceful faller'. She slips and falls all the time, but does it gracefully at least. Thus the reason I'm teaching her balance. :bigok:

Yup...I took a pic of her taking a pic. Had to have proof ya know. :alienwink:

Whenever I eat shit on the ski hill, which used to be quite often, I have the uncanny knack of never 'yard-sale ing' (when all your gear flies off in different directions as you tumble down!) instead I always somehow end up sliding down face first on my belly, with my skis and arms up like superman!!!! I've amazed the most skilled snow rats with this trick!
