I started late in life and have stumbled on something great. I'm going to continue, atleast until I master this ****! No way I'm letting these plants get the better of me. Been just over a year, but I havent taken it seriously until I came to GK at the end of my last grow.

I know what you mean CG..growing really does create stress, But stress is probably why alot of us smoke pot, so it's a two way street.Face it CG you've been bitten and now your an addict to growing.You may say you're done now but give it a year with out growing when the withdrawls kick in. I did the same thing a couple of years ago, and look where i'm at.I've been growing for 10 years and will quit when i stop smoking which will probably be when i die.And hopefully when i die somebody will throw a bunch of seeds in my grave.....so when people visit they can have a smoke on me.LOL

 

Look at the date hes set for himself green. Christmas 2003. Thats well over a year away. Anything could happen! we'll see what happens closer to the date!

I have been mucking around outside for a couple of years now and absolutely love good outdoor homegrown. Due to annoying disavantages of a couple rips, I moved indoors. I have tried many methods indoors and only grow enough for myself and a couple select mates. After venturing onto GrowKind I have found I simply can't resist experimenting with new systems/ strains/ lights etc. All information and experience shown here has prooven quite helpful as I now breed Orchids and M.J indoors in hydroponics. I believe every person should have their own little hobby at home and I believe I will always grow. Untill laws are passed to make it right everywhere, Growers notes and experience are suppressed and Forums such as this will proove our only chance to pass our knowledge. Congratulations on your picks and good luck in future ventures.

 

I'm a few weeks into the flowering stage of my first ever grow and there a lot of different factors that will determine how much longer I grow.


I've got a lot to lose if I get caught.  I live in a part of the world where the law enforcement folks are like Nazis when it comes to MJ (especially growing).  Also, I'm an immigrant and I really don't have any plans to go home anytime soon and, if I were to get caught, that'd pretty much be the end of my stay here.


Having said that, I do plan to go home eventually and, fortunately, my homeland is a lot more liberal than where I am right now so I'll probably get more heavily into growing then.  My plants are looking pretty good right now even though I have made a lot of rookie mistakes so, although I'm expecting a good yield of some high quality bud, I'm really treating this as a learning experience that will help me in future grows.


As for my immediate plans...well, I was just going to do one grow and then quit.  However, I've invested quite a bit of time and money in my closet set up so I'm probably going to grow again at least once in order to get my money's worth. And, as we all know, growing is probably more addictive than the end product itself!


So, there you have it.  That's my life story...

Id gladly buy some off of ya.I litterly drool over your monsters when i saw them.I sure am gonna miss watching thsoe things grow...

 

I've been growing mj for 35 years and plan to do it for another 35 years if I live that long.


I was amazed, when I bought my first lid back in '67, that the marijuana came with free seeds! Wow I thought. Pot AND a way to get some for free.


Back in those days (Crips I sound old--"back when I was in school") the was no internet, no mj cultivation books, no info available, plus pot poss./cultivation was still a serious crime.


So I just scratched a furrow in the ground, planted some of those seeds and was amazed a week later when I saw seedlings.


It was 10 years of this before I discovered how to grow buds--up until that time I just picked leaves, dried them in the oven and smoked them. There was never any left to bud out.


Then 1 day (in Oct.) I remembered about a plant in the back of the 'regular' garden. I went out there and lo and behold--buds. AHA!


By growing it every year and talking about it with other growers, I soon found out about all aspects of growing, from proper nutrients, best dates/locations to plant, veg, and bloom to harvesting, drying, curing and storage.


And in thanks for this wonderful gift from Ma Nature, I now try to help other people grow, without all the failures that I had while learning 'in the dark'.


And to the starter of this thread--by x-mas '03, pot poss./cultivation may just be legal. It already is up here in The Emerald Triangle (North Calif.) No one gets busted for small 25--50 plant gardens (unless you're doing something crummy like selling meth, beating your spouse, etc.)in this neck of the woods.

Second round is on the go.Still at 24 hrs light yet 10 plants from 15 seeds.I will continue to grow until northlite,skuzzi or clueless grow enough of the stuff to keep me in buds for the rest of my smoking days.

 

I will grow until it is legal. And then I will continue, only legally!! Yippee!

I will grow until I dont need to anymore...Been through the Marijuana addiction scene and refuse to go back there.


Moderation has opened up a whole new world for me...I appreciate it now, more then ever...Smoking obsessively was a drag...like drinking too much,it can control your life...CG my friend, you may want to consider scaling down the operation rather then quitting altogether...less stress,less smoke...but more to live for...Moderation is the key to "truly" appreciating Marijuana!...Take care my friends SD

 

I hear you loud and clear about the "moderation" method.No, Iam gonna turn off the big light on Christmas Day 2003, or whenever that last harvest ends.Its over a year away,and i will get many grows out of the remaining year.I dont wanna go back to the pen,and lose my material possessions..Iam taking it to the limit through 2003..and thats about it. Thanks Seizure..I know i have lived my life to the limit one too may times.. My luck has been good..Why spiral down and get wrapped up in the system..Yup,i would feel better if i did stop..Then maybe i can take a long vacation..Which i deserve..In the meanwhile,Iam a prisoner of my house..
