I always start my plants at 1/4 strength and work my way up. Some plants can take 1200 ppm and higher and some can't. So I try to stay away from the Product directions. Let the plant tell you what it needs. This is a good refrence guide. Hydro Cheat sheet PPM goes up, PH goes down=plants require less nutes. PPM goes down, PH goes up=Plants require more nutes PPM stable, PH goes up=Equilibrium=Good thing.
