your guna put the table on a stand right? if not..how u guna empty it with out moving the entire table?
I've actually been going back and forth about that. I have decide that when it is time to drain the tub I will pull the feed line off of the fitting and connect it to a hose that runs into the tub (about 15 feet away), turn on the pump and drain away. Once the water level goes below the pump I'll turn it off and get the rest with a shop vac. I tried this method and there is only one shop vac full of water I will have to take out. I am doing it like this because I don't want to have to build a table. If I end up having to though I'll be able to do it with minimal hassle because the room is big enough to move the table and put in a stand.
That sucks, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't grow because I just love this shit. As it is right now I am not going to be able to grow outside this year do to the asshole that moved in across the street, unless I figure out something real stealthy. The other issue is that the city of Sacramento has banned all outdoor growing this year unless you are in a secured greenhouse that code enforcement has approved. I am in the county though and no one has been able to give me a straight answer yet whether that rule applies. I am going to contact the city council next week and ask them for clarification because I have gotten a bunch of different answers from a bunch of different people.
personally, i use a sump pump rated for 700gal..........the smaller fill pump takes waaaaaaay to long to empty out........i can dump and fill 2 40gal res's in under 25min All i do for a "stand" is take 4 cinder blocks, one side has a knotch in it, put that UP.....1 for each corner, then lay a 2x4 across it or even a sheet of plywood would work.....BOOM, table/stand city.....suuuuper ez to move, remove and use Im tellin you, your guna wanna be able to move around and make it easier to fill/drain that thing.......once its ontop and filled up AND budding, u aint movin that table for shit and i would highly reccomend using trellis nets or something like
I hope I'm not jackin your thread. Just wanted to show you my set up. I built a new flower closet for a larger flood table. I still need to line the floor and back wall with panda paper, but the table and light are in place. I'm trying a light mover for the first time. I turned my old tent into a nursery with a mini flood table for clones. I'm going to try growing some vegetables in there too. /monthly_2013_01/enf3.jpg.9ba6654012b37d8d03778bf931145b0f.jpg /monthly_2013_01/nursery.jpg.b1f44722e8eb40a572f7eb010b9585dd.jpg
Looking good JR...you posted that in my other thread too...stoner! I like those mini flood tables, that is pretty cool.
i kept mine on atimer till the pump needed needed a knock or two to kick on. now i got the water level as low as posible(about 1/4 to 1/2 inch)and let it run 24/7. I have not had any issues resulting from this. and damn, a 40 gal res? i have a store bought 2x2 flood and drain set up that came with a 12 maybe 15 gallon res. i mix up 10 gl of nutes and at the end of the week it has about 6-7 gallons left, i never have topped it off through out the week. damn, i reckon i might need to change my veging style, never noticed any def's though:eusa_eh:
I take a 3inch cutting strait from my cloner with about 4-6inch long roots on her and VEG for 1 week only, maybe 10days max....they finish in flower at about 18-22inch tall, perfect for me my veg res only keep about 15-20gal in it during that time
