No offense taken whatsoever but to have no interest in seeing any of that lineup seems pretty strange to me. To each their own
I am a crazy music snob which has taken me ten years to admit. I could sit here and shit on all those bands all day, but it only makes me feel better and I know music, like any art, is only as good as the person enjoying it. I hope we got your thread going though. That is what we are here for.
you could shit on those bands all day? um...you can disslike their music but you cannot shit on them. That is unless you're significantly better than them widespread may be pretty cliche...but they will most certaintly go down as one of the greatest bands in history with their crowds, longevity, and creativeness. Got to respect them, ya know? To be honest I cannot stand greatful dead. Just not my thing. But when artists get together like this...it just doesnt happen much. I feel it is my duty as a music lover to appreciate it when it comes my way
I honestly see this until today. I'd love to go to a show such as that, but with two dogs that would need to be boarded, the expense wouldn't justify it. My pathetic life has been reduced to things they can be included in
I don't like most jam bands. Simple as that. And the rest of the lineup are washed up Douche-Stoner music. That is my OPINION. To be fair, my wife and best friends were into those bands, I just never was. If I can't replicate a song by any artists, I respect them more. That can not be said of those bands.
Im not into Grateful Deadmyself nugg but i tell ya what i will check out the other guys you mentioned cos no i aint heard of them but im a huge music fan and i listen to allsorts.I'll also be sure to keep an eye out for Interlocken on youtube as i often just pick a festival to play while i go about paperwork or whateve rim doing in the background. Some of the best gigs iv been too were when some dudes jammed on stage.I remember going to see The Who in hyde park years ago for them performing Quadrophenia and before they came on Bob Dylan had finshed his set and next thing hes jammin g with Dave Gilmour from Floyd,Ronnie Wood from the stones and some others.Amazing. I can appreicate any music almost when im stoned. At these festivals its all about just enjoying the atmosphere. It does sound like it will be good man, hope you enjoy it.BTW when you say vendor what exactly will you be doing? Sounds cool though Im of to see Roger Waters at wembley for my birthday. Its my consolation to myself after missing out on rolling stones tickets 3 times in a row this year:sad4:
Ap, yeah Prodigy I'm looking forward to, but ya know their best days are long gone. But Rammstein, those dudes still bring it with their crazy awesome shows. And Queens of the Stone Age are freakin awesome and have been off the radar for some time, so I gotta see them when I get the chance. Slayer I've see a few times, but its fucking SLAYER! never gets old
Yeah Prodgy best days are well behind them for sure.Still worth the price of admission though. You like any Primal Scream stuff link Thats a band id never tire of seeing Nugg i checked out String Cheese Incident on youtube. Its a kind of weird infusion o some kinda country mashed up with some kind o daft punk.Interesting. Hell yeah if i was stoned i could chill out to that. Not maybe the thing id pay to go see but if i caught them at a festival yeah id check out some of their set. Funky I caught this one,is there a particular song they do that defines them in the way Floyd and other bands have? Let me know
