My mistake, thought it was painted PVC. Would'a been weird having the awesome tumbler and shitty tube. :icon_confused: Just not yer style.
The motor in my tumbler is a grill rotisserie motor I got at home depot. Not sure of the brand. It is very slow, and I wish I had a faster one. This motor turns at about 8 rounds per minute! I do not use a speed controller. I experimented with a few different motors, and eventually settled on this one because it was the only one I could get to work. I would get a different motor if I were to build another one. A drier motor would def. work, but it might be a little cumbersome and unwieldy due to size/weight. I was never able to source a proper motor. I even looked at the motors the commercial units are using, but no luck. I'll bet McMaster Carr has the right motor - like this http://www.mcmaster.com/#electric-motors/=lfrdom MC also has the metal mesh screen I think. Have fun building it!
