Lest ye doubt Ok, so where are we now? Well...let's go back to the 19th. I've taken more pics than I've posted. Time to update you all on the seeds that did sprout. 3 strong healthy plants was the outcome of my Feminized 5pk. 4 sprouted and pushed through the soil but one was weak from the start and didn't make it. One of the plants that did (plant B) has some leaf deformity but seems strong and healthy none-the-less. Oct 11 for this shot (transplant day). All together, including the weak one, it's clear now that it won't make it. Oct 19th El Niño A El Niño B El Niño C Another update coming later today with pics from last night. Grat
10-21-09 One pic that should have been included in the above post. El Niño Oct 19 (L to R) C B A Here's 3 days later. El Niño A El Niño B El Niño C Still have one La Niña that may pull through. Not counting on it. There we are kids. I'm going to put them in big pots, lay them down and veg under the 400 once the flower side opens up. They are currently under a 65w 5000K CFL. I've got 2 bulb options to consider... I'm using the Hortilux HPS for flower but also have a Sunmaster Warm Delux MH. It's still a little "bluer" than the HPS but it's not quite as bright. Any input? Thanks all. Grat
Time for an update (or 2). These plants are doing great, It's been a while since I grew any from seed... Taken on the 28th of October. These are a little blury, it's not your eyes, these aren't calendar entries, just growth rate comparison. A - Full sized bic for pot size scale. B C Group for size comparison. A plant, front. C plant top left. B plant top right. Again, sorry for the crappy pics, I'll do my best never to let it happen again. Grat
I transplanted on the 1st of November. They had really taken off since the last feeding... Group shot in cap night before transplant. Stem shot. Roots! Product plug, produces GREAT roots! New Homes A B C Line-up L to R C plant, B plant, A plant Why plant them off-center? I'm going to bend them over. Now that they have room to root, they have to go in the flower chamber. I've decided to start them out with the Warm D. Starting out about 24" from the light for a couple of days, then more like 10"-12". Grat
Sounds good, looks good........Everything is money it seems, good luck and lets see whats up!! I got 2 completely differant phenos from my Mr.Nice early pearl and sk......one fruity stinky plant with decent amount of trichs and one complete garbage plant that did nothing at all, grew out normal but with no signs of being actual POT! :new_popcornsmiley: :new_popcornsmiley: :new_popcornsmiley: :new_popcornsmiley:
But wait there's more! Just took these a few min ago... Not bad growth for 5 days after transplant:thumbsup: These not showing any hints of Sativa genetics:icon_scratch: Fat-ass Indica leaves. A B C L to R A, B, C. That's tonight. The B plant is about ready to bend. Wish they'd hurry up :icon_bounce:
Looking good Grat I just check out u-tube I couldn't believe the size of the pot they have their plant in & the plant is just 2 foot tall with lots of nice buds Good luck-Bud
Hey all, thanks a lot! Chris - weird story, never herd anybody getting a plant like that.:icon_scratch: I bet the keeper pheno is worth the search:thumbsup: Thanks Tripple "H" G, All I'm seeing is afghan. Sorta strange given the listed parentage, Haze, Super Skunk, Brazillian Sativa x So Indian Indica. I'm really hoping La Niña comes through with the sativa expression. Thanks LM:thumbsup: I'm really happy with them thus far, I'm just impatient. I wanna flower!!! HeadCase - It's been a while since I watched that video, thanks for the reminder. That must have been at least a 6gal pot! My plants really do look like those, in smaller version. The growth patterns are really similar. Sorta makes me wonder if bending them over will work out so well but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do it anyway. The inter-nodes are REALLY tight. Thanks again everybody for stopping by! Grat
The plant in the video seems short for being 50% Haze, but who knows what genetics are really in any GHS strain.
Damn man...those are sure healthy looking! I don't know shit about phenos and such...... BUT This is gonna be a killer run!! :new_popcornsmiley: Happy Harvests!! :fly:
Right. No hint's of Sativa demonstrated, or claimed. On the vid they say that it's the shortest in the line-up, the second fattest leaves (behind Himalayan Gold) with the tightest inter-nodes. None of that sounds like a Sat, it's listed as being good for appetite stimulation and Insomnia...again, Indica characteristics. But the lineage is roughly 66% Sativa. Might as well say part Skunk Cabbage part English Ivy. Don't know what to make of all that. These plants are doing well though. And since it is going to be my stash for a while, I hope to find the best expression of whatever genetics are present Solo, I think you may be right man... These plants are off to a good start. I don't usually get to put them in the big pot's so early, I usually have another small pot stage in between, and an additional x-planting. I'm hoping that the combination of vegging under the 400w and more time to get the roots established in the big pot will help my yields. The stems on these plants are impressively thick even at this stage. I gave them a foliar feed and a mycorrhizae root drench last night. They seem to be bigger every time I look at them. I'll keep posting. Grat
Very interesting grow, Grat! Someone had to do it..Cant believe it took me so long to find this thread. I will be watching this one closely, brother! GFam
Greenhouse Seeds One of the GHS I grow is Hawaiian Snow. It stays extremely short, shorter than some indicas, which is strange since the genetics are supposedly [Hawaiian Haze X Pure Haze] X Neville’s Haze
i would be so proud of those plants. nice work. those are the fattest stems on the shortest plants i have ever seen, also nice and tight. keep it up.
Hey G-Fam! While it didn't work out exactly as I'd envisioned at the start, by the end this thread will be the place to see them both and see the difference. HHHG - That's pretty crazy... El Nino is almost as Sativa as that (according to the listed lineage) but not quite. It is REALLY short. Seems to me like the ONLY possible explanation is mis-represented genetics. tmtw - I noticed the same thing thanks, these are some THICK stems. They started under a 65w CFL with a bat-wing as close as possible to help keep them short. But I really think that the Oregonism XL has a big effect on root growth. Keep checking back...I'll keep posting. Grat
Well folks...the growth continues pics taken 11-11-09 The pots were getting light and the plants were getting tall so I pulled them out for a feeding and a little bend. The group, L to R, A, B, C. A Plant - 1st to break through the soil. B Plant - Biggest/Fastest Cause for concern? C Plant - Runt And then, I bent them over. It was more difficult than usual because these stems are SO thick. A Plant B Plant C Plant Group - ABC Let me know what you think about that leaf, or anything else:thumbsup: Almost time to flower. Grat
