Grat those plant are insane really thick & close nodes . They all look the same & look like the one on you-tube. I don't know how anyone could complain about GHS by the looks of these plants.-Bud P.S. Could the leaf problem be from lack of light to the bottom leaves .I wouldn't worry tooo much about it unless it gets worst.
Bud - Thanks man! They are SO thick. This is looking like a strain that doesn't need to be bent for height control...But I still like the multi-cola thing. I get more solid bud and less "larf". They are adapting quickly to the training. I just wish that "C" plant were a little taller. The fattest fingers on these leaves are wide enough to wrap all the way around a bic lighter and have them overlap on the other side. But as for satisfaction...well I'm not gonna say I'm disappointed that they've done so well. And I'm excited to see them flower. But if you look at what's supposed to have gone into these...There's no way these plants should look like this. As far as the info listed about this strain on the GHS site and the video etc. DO seem to be in line with what I'm seeing...BUT there is no sign whatsoever of the Sativa genes that would have been the driving force in my decision making process. Specifically the Haze genetics, until I find a strain/plant that finishes quickly but retains the Haze high, I'll keep looking. My fav plant I've grown to date is the Brainstorm NL#5xHaze ala Dutch Passion. It's an UP high but I want something "Hazyer". That's why this supposed Haze X White Widow seemed like a great place to look for my Haze Hybrid hunt. In truth, I picked these 2 strains for comparison because they were available and affordable but then I started to get excited about these "Spanish Children" themselves and not just the prize. I have seen some stunning photo's of La Niña pheno's that look and grow and smoke like a Haze:thumbsup: ...stares off dreamily into the future... I've got 22 seeds I'll germ them once the "boys" flower. Thanks again Shantibaba! Hey Chris :hello:
Kksc I was just reading about her in the Cannabible V.3 last week. Jason King says it takes 9wks yields well and is a balanced high. He also says that there's more than one pheno in clone form out there. I like the books, I really enjoy reading them, but I don't take his word as gospel. What's your take on Jason King?(cannabible author) What I've heard here is 11wks yields moderate and Cerebral, UP high. I've been drooling over that one since Skunky and SMARMY grew it out. Really beautiful plant. I have strawberries planted in my back yard garden. What I'd really love (given my space limitations) is 2-3 rock solid selections to dial in an get to know while still having the space to play with 1-2 other strains at a time. I ran the Ice 5 times, Brainstorm 4, but I'm getting used to them. I need to mix it up. El Nino will be different but it'll be all I've got for a while. Hope the tolerance factor isn't too bad. Germinating the La Nina will be the first time I've really had a chance to make selections. I've never germinated (sucessfully) more than 3 of one strain. I'm planning to germ 12 this time and really looking forward to it. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, "the Boys" have showed their female preflowers and alt nodes. The flip will happen any day now. Really freaking short plants. This is the first time I'm hoping they stretch. Thanks for stopping by folks. Grat
There is only 1 KKSC clone. She looks done at 7-8 weeks, but let her 10 for better flavor and high. Yield is moderate-heavy. She branches profusely on her own, top her once or twice and she really bushes. The high is more cerebral than body. Especially when taken early at 8. 10 weeks adds a bit of body to her. Some claim growing her in with strawberries increases the flavor, since they were basically bred in a strawberry field. I don't know about that, but it might be worth trying. You are on your way to finding out about this lady personally. As for JK, a lot of his genetic backgrounds and stories are incorrect. But it's not necessarily his fault, he can only go by what people tell him.
Update Useless - Thanks for the info. She sounds like a dream:fly: One that's threatening to materialize in front of me Gives me chills in a GOOD way! Back to the task at hand...leave the KKSC research for later.... El Niño ~ 11/15/09 about 8wks from seed. A Plant I moved the tie out a couple of nodes, probably last training adjustment. B Plant Look at all that new growth! Stem thicker than most of my plants at harvest. Roots like crazy! 15 days in these pots. C Plant Group shots, as usual L to R = A, B, C. Gonna flower in a few days, the B Plant, is ready now but I just want a little more branch development from the other 2. I'm not anticipating a lot of stretch. Grat KKSC! :monkeydance: :hot: :monkeydance:
Hey Grat!!! Those plants look so healthy and full! Congrats on this experiment too- i'm lovin it! Peace -LM
Thanks to you both. I'll feel better when I have both sides of my cab occupied...and when you can actually look at comparison photo's. In the mean time, I've never had plants in pot's this big this early or vegging under the 400w for this long, before now. These stems are thicker than a I usually see at harvest. These are at 2 months of veg. I'm going to flower them any day now. Fed the heavy veg dosage, for the last time. A Plant B Plant C Plant Group; A, B, C. I'd like to give the "C" plant another week or even 2 to fill in, but the B plant is ready and maybe tough to contain as it is. Peace out Grat
Plants Shit those are gorgeous plants grat!! Love the bushy look and look at the size of those leaves. Waiting for the finish! teamster6
Those are some short bushy plants your goig to need to raise them up to your light .No need to worry about head room with them.-Bud
Pull the big ones down past 90 degrees and make them grow back up, itll give the little on a bit more time.
Mr. A - always so verbose:thumbsup: Thanks man. teamster6 - Thanks, me too. Gonna flip on Sat. Then germ the Girls! :monkeydance: Headcase - That's for sure. This strain is certainly the shortest growing I've seen. However, I am putting th HPS in and switching the lights and I'm hoping they stretch a little. Skuzz - good idea for next round, these don't get anymore time. After the last watering they've had another growth spurt. I took them out tonight for some pinching and restraint adjustment. The B plant is a beast. I need to flower NOW. And so I will. Brand new (EYE) Hortilux 400w HPS bulb arrived yesterday. Best place I found if you are looking was/is Discount Hydro. Discrete billing, shipping and labeling. $69.99 + SH for the lamp. Best price I've found on Oregonism XL is there too, picked up another LB. I've been shy about doing the root drenches in the past because you use 2TBS per quart of water. If you buy the small container that get's expensive. I've used it every time I x-plant for quite some time now with fantastic results. But I decided to really give this "root drench thing a serious go and I'm seeing results! Not using mycorrhizae? Wanna take your grow game to the next level? Peace all. Grat
11/26/09 New (EYE) Hortilux HPS 400w installed. Lighting schedule back to 12/12 in the flower chamber. La Niña seed germinating. Here's the update, These girl's are stretching! I'm pinching now! The A Plant. Minor supper cropping. B Plant This leaf has 15 points and some of them are growing in an inner row. C Plant Group ABC That's a wrap for this round. Wish I knew what to do for the rusty spots...gave them straight water last night, I'll go check them in an hour or so. Thanks gang :hello: Grat
Spots Hey grat dont worry about the spots unless it moves around the plant. They are probably just hot spots on some of the oldest leaves. Whatever your doing to them they are loving it. teamster6
Talk about some thick plants & those stems your going to need a chainsaw to cut them LOL. The spots I think they have drove us all crazy trying to figure them out like teamster said I wouldn't worry too much unless it gets worst. I couldn't believe how the root where coming out the bottom of the pots in the last pictures their surely going to be root bound by harvest time .I'll be watching :new_popcornsmiley: assit: -Bud
I get those Mg def. leave's, from time-to-time. It doesn't seem to affect the outcome. I'm going to have to try the salt. Love the strap
