Morning all. Sticky - Thanks man, don't know how long they'll go, I've never run these before. I'll be watching the trichs, don' anticipate a faster finish than 8wks to be sure. Useless - Seems boaboi answered for me. I was pretty frustrated with my germ rates with the first pack. When I got the second I soaked and planted 11 seeds. I don't usually do it that way. I got 4 plants that made it. I wasn't satisfied given the chance for males with 4 plants so I've germemed the rest using the paper towel method and I got 7 of 11 on the second germ. I've been meaning to check in about the strategy. I don't know if the La Niña will show sex early or not. Should I run clones of each of the El Niño or just the best (seems to be the A plant)? Yeah Bud, it's FULL. In a few weeks it'll be really crowded just before the flip. RkyMtWH - Cheers man, thanks for stopping by. Boaboi - I should have said something when I posted that one. No I didn't not put both seeds in the one cell on the same day. Clearly 2 got in there. I recycled the soil from the last few failed germination attempts and so I'm confident that it is a La Niña as well. They will be separated soon. Hoping that won't stunt them but I'd still rather risk the stress than one of them being male. So yeah... certainly "yellower" than I'm ok with at 33 days. They got nutes the day before the pics but it was the first dose with no Grow nutes whatsoever... I'm beginning to think this feeding schedule should just have more N later. I seem to keep making that adjustment after the first time I flower a new strain. I thought the slightly burned leaf tips was the more important indicator so I gave them a break. There will be some Buddha Grow in the next feeding but that'll be a few days till they dry out. Let me know if I should do something faster than that. I will say that I've treated these plants equally with the exception of one skipped feeding for the C plant. Thanks everybody! Grat P.S. Tex, how on earth would I get them to look like that without a bit LST? All in fun man, it's minimal to be sure but I just lay them accross the pot when they are about 8" tall. These stems were so thick by that point that it was tough to bend them. Usually it's a 90degree bend 2.5" from the dirt. By the end the back restraint comes out but the one opposite the stem stays on. You can see all this in the pics on this thread. Peace Tex.
Hey Grat! Just checkin in with everyone, and hot damn they still look freakin awesome!!! This is one thread i have been watching regularly and am really amazed at the fullness you are having! That one bud shot is def calendar worthy!!! Peace -LM
I'm partial to the B girl. Nice and full to go with that height. They didn't seem to look deficient in veg. Did that yellowing come on fast or slowly build as they flowered? Good job on the test Grat. cheers,
I was thinking La Nina and Moby Dick are the same strain(both strains genetics are Haze X White Widow). Do you think dinafem ripped off Mr. Nice and made La Nina fem? Your buds are looking alot like my MD buds at that age. Everything is looking great Gratitude... Here pass this assit:, & this :bong2:, oh and cant forget this:bongin:... Peace
I dont think they are rip offs. To rip them of you'd need the same parent plants. Habing the same strains as starting material isnt quite the same. If i was to breed a haze and WW i wouldnt end up with what Mr Nice has. It may be similar or it could be quite different.
Hey all :hello: I survived a 15day visit from the MIL figure and had a virus that prevented internet access but things should be getting back to normal. LM - Thanks. I was really happy with that shot too. Just wish it was @ 63 days rather than 33. I'll keep trying, but if they keep yellowing like this they might not make it 63 days...:icon_confused: Res - Seems like it came on quick. Then I zigged when I should have zagged. Oh well. I know for next time that A is most N hungry and B likes a bit more than avg but C can go by the books. I thought the B was my fav too res till I saw the trichome production on A. 4F2J0C - Thanks man, I think Skuzz may be right. There are certain Old School strains that seem to exist in hybrid form. I've grown DP's Brainstorm, (formerly known as Hempstar) which is supposed to be a NL#5 X Haze. Lot's of companies have or had a hybrid of those 2 (including MrN and dinaFem). Hope to get more pics up this weekend. There's a little more bad news... not too serious... but disappointing. Grat
Thnx for the update Grat. A does have a nice dusty look to it. Might be one of those judgement calls of potency vs yield between that one and B. cheers,
01-03-10 La Niña the 2 plant cell dried out. I thought I'd lost them both but I'm totally sure now, I might keep trying to revive them for fun. The rest are ready for transplant and food. #5 Plant #6 Plant #7 Plant #9 Plant Thus far there has been a fair degree of similarity between plants of the same strain and very little similarity between the 2 strains. These La Niña's actually smell like weed
I was thinking the same thing I guess we'll have to wait to the final product to see which is the best-Bud
HEY!! Where's the trich shot of B? Pulling for B to catch up on the trich production and make that bigger yield count. thnx for the show Grat,
Everything looks amazing grat. How much longer for those buds and how long til you bud the la nina's?
Cheers Gents Res - No macro's of the B plant came out this time. She is huge but she's also showing the most discoloration... we'll see. HC - That lil C plant is looking pretty good (esp next to all that yellow on the other 2), she has SO many leaves though... that was one thing I hadn't expected...leaf-to-calyx ratio variance... Can123 - Thnx, I hope so. I was expecting to flower more than 3 plants this round but when that didn't happen I let these veg an extra month (under the 400w) to make sure I had enough bud for my personal use till the next batch. MrGJ - Thanks man, I'm hoping they will be better with a feeding adjustment next round. Teamster6 - Thanks man. You must be wondering why ppl like me bother with just a few plants... but you are running more watts for your op than my whole apt. Yes I'm jealous. SG420 - Thanks. I'm not really sure how much longer. I don't expect them to be ready much before 60 days, and maybe a touch longer. I've never worked with these before so I'm gonna have to watch the trichs. They look to me like they are a couple of weeks farther along than is accurate. Which is to say, they are yellowing too damn early! I'm a cab grower, so I can't flower the Niñas till the Niños vacate the space. General Question for anyone. It's regarding shape. The A Plant has been reaching upwards most of the grow. The other 2 are pretty much shaped the same and the leaves are not reaching for the light. They are tilted downward. I was under the impression that when your plants were reaching up (like the A) that it meant you had it "dialed-in", it was getting what it needed. Is this right? or is it genetic? Also, sad to report that one of the La Niña's hit the light last night. It's been fimmed by the bulb. The plant will be fine, I just wanted to seen uniform growth. Thanks for watching! Grat
Grat its not the Quantity but the quality. You are looking great I would smoke those babys anyday.......................Teamster6
