47 Days - they've had their last meal. OK, so that's not really a funny joke, I'm starving here...so it's fitting that we share our fates, these plants and I.:angry7: I use Cannabis to eat and sleep, I've been dry for a week now...first time in years. 10hrs of sleep in 3 days....it's been worse. Good news is, harvest time approaches quickly. I'll have to buy some first though. Backwards this time! I'll start with the C plant to document one of the realities of Feminized Seed. I'll also add that in one of the Cannabibles, Jason King postulates and sites DJ Short's concurrence, that Feminized Seeds produce less potent bud. I really don't want to test it out myself. I just don't want to buy any more Feminized beans EVER, from anyone, because it's irresponsible. It supports and furthers a concept that will enslave us. If this were a food crop, I'd boycott all producers of Feminized seed. Monsanto (Novartis) is bankrupting farmers world wide with sterile seeds (and suing over cross pollination, destroying native seed stock and ass fucking anyone smart enough NOT to take the bait, oh yeah, it's all legal too). OK, back to the pics. C Plant. This pic is not as clear as I'd like but I included it because the part that is in focus illustrates well that this plant has the least desirable leaf-to-calyx ratio. Bananas. Surprise, surprise. I've looked High and Low, I've even looked Sober and Low, I've not seen any evidence of male parts on either of the other 2 plants but this one is clearly a He/She. In the interest of full disclosure, I did notice that the seal between the 2 chambers of my cab had to be re-done. It was minor but I resealed it, it's something we should check every year or so...foam/weatherstripping wears out. The B Plant. Res, I tried to get some better macros this time  The A Plant! Assuming I'm not REALLY surprised by variation in the High, I'm only gonna run this one again.
"How do you know she is a dude?" "Because her adams apple was bigger than mine..." lol The last pic looks great man. Good shot on the lower branches. Whats the timeline for the La Ninas? How are those lookin? Cheers
Clones. Pretty cool that I can really see the similarities to the parents. I could tell you which was which even if all of the labels were removed. See what I mean? A Clones. B Clones. C Clones.
I've never brought fem seeds but I don't have any fate in them I was gifted a Blueberry clone from fem seeds after 6 weeks it hemied when I told her about the hemie she told me she had hemies on her plants too. Did all 3 plant hemie or just C & yea A looks like the only keeper.-Bud
Man, that A plant really packed on some weight. Nice composition, frosty frosty frosty and it looks like she's going to pass B on yield weight too. C is a near disaster in comparison. Didn't you pick the "short fat girl" C Bud? Thnx again Grat....your efforts are not going unappreciated
Hey Man, thanks for checking in. I really liked the last one too, I had to get creative with the lighting It reminds a little bit of one you posted not so long ago... Too bad mines not the Pre 98 Bubba Kush yours was. I KNOW that the potentcy won't even hold a candle, even if this is the best pheno an El Niño seed has ever produced. That's the one with no tolerance build up or ceiling right? I've been working on the rest of the pics and will post them shortly. IDK exactly when I'll pull these big ones, that's the hold-up on the little ones. I'm not planning to let them go past 9wks unless the trichs demand it. None of the La Niña's have shown sex yet which is why I wanted to have more than 4 plants. I'm gonna just post the pics and elaborate on that post. Bud - Only the C plant thus far. Res - I think the B plant might still be heavier but I'll take a slightly lower yield with tons more trichs any day. Ok, now I gotta finish this update. Grat
La Niña 01-09-10 2nd batch Plant #5 Plant #6 Plant #7 Plant #9 - This one got away from me and hit the light, it will be just fine, it's just ugly. The branches are more developed on this plant than the others because it's responding to the "topping". The second batch will be transplanted as soon as the soil dries out enough to pick them up. The first batch will remain in those pots till the flower chamber opens up. I'm considering putting the small ones straight into the finishing pots in hopes that they will catch up a bit. This round, "finishing pots" are 1 gallon. I think I can fit them all in there...assuming I loose at leas one or two to Maleness. Thanks again all! Grat
Naw. The bubba is a "knock you on your ass, get me a wheelchair so I can get to the fridge for munchies, does anyone have toothpicks to prop up my eyelids?" kinda stone. I'll send you a pm with links to a few new pics I am going to post up tonight. Just waitin for lights out. Give you an idea of what lies in your future gratitude-son.
assit: :woohoo: Looking forward to it. I also wanted to give some commentary, it seems that by the time I get to the La Niña photo's I just don't have much left... I always do those last... So here goes, comparative observations. These plants grow, smell, and look differently than the El Niños. While there is some detectable variation among the plants thus far, they are very uniform. The leaves are shaped differently, much thinner fingers, visibly clear that there is a Sativa presence. The leaves are also different in almost every other way, different thicknesses, texture, gloss to matte surface... really clearly NOT RELATED. These plants smell great! Strong and skunky in veg. The others are very mild, like the WW I grew with a hint of lemon pinesol. Odor control is not an issue with the El Niño but seems like the La Niñas are showing potential for a healthy Stank. The stems on the La Niñas are more like what I'm used to seeing, but they have a little bit of color that looks nice. The El Ninos grew some crazy thick stems. Grat
Well...I suppose if you must do the math... then you would seem to find near impossibility of truth. Grat
Over due 01-16-10 54 days. Hey all, I'm gonna do the update from the 16th now. so late. C SUPER Leafy B A
Very Nice Grat great job bet its killer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to Chop? Teamster6:bravo: arty5: arty5: arty5:
Thanks Man! Real Close. Monday is 9 wks. I watered them tonight for the last time. I'll let them dry out a little...but not much, helps slow the dry. I took a bunch of pics of the buds on the B plant tonight but I've not transfered any to the PC to know how good they are. Funky stuff! Grat
Hey Grat! Those planties are lookin so awesome and frosty!!! :droooling: :droooling: :droooling: I can only hope mine look so delish when they're ready! :not-worthy: Can't wait to see the bud porn you're yet to upload! Peace -LM ps- You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Gratitude again.
Dam, I'd sell my soul for a taste of that tree, that's if it wasn't already spoken for. :cool-pix: Real nice frosty bud Grat, can't wait for the porn shots!!!!
Grat, out of all 7 seeds of my mr nice early pearl x skunk, I got one pheno that was totaly differant than the other 6 shitty ones, it had a sorta NL sweet smell to it but was very candy like, it yellowed terribly, got brown on the edges like your did, things looked almost identical, not great but still doing its thing, anyhow, after a week long cure.........WOW WOW WOW......it was a trip to smoke something like that, it was a fresh, new stone, i've never felt that before....it was weird, very cloud-like.........anyway, I was pissed when the first 6 turned out to be crap, then there was 1.........and I loved her!!!! Good luck Grat
this is an awsome thread i saw it on mr nice forums.... love the pics and cant wait for the el ninas are in flower! thanks for the awsome thread!
Thanks All LM and RB - Cheers!asssit: Thanks to you both. RB - Save your soul for the La Ninas! Then sell it Chris - Seems like your story means you're still sitting on half a pack? I've never really looked into any of the "Early" strains. I assumed early on that they were best suited to the outdoor grower in short season locales, AND that there must be a draw-back or they would dominate the market. IDK if either assumption is valid. Really sorry you let the one get past you without a clone. I understand that you didn't think it'd shape up based on the others. I've already ditched the C plant clones from this round. I gave them away with the warning about bananas AND the admonition to just flower them out and be done with it. Insane - Cheers to you too! This is my home, but since I'm running MRN gear for the first time...and the general nature of the "climate" between the 2 companies, I figured it'd be fun to do a thread there too. This is by far the more active thread. Thanks again everybody! Grat
