hmmn.... legalization will not come with people like calvina Fay and the Drug free ameriKa program. They spit out these grossly inflated facts and use terms like 'manufacturing drugs' and 'grow operation' and 'illicit contraband' to name a few. It sparks an image in lots of unassuming people's minds that pot is horrible and is a devils weed, on par with other addicting substances like cocaine, heroine, and meth. People dont see the reality though. they see crime and say, drugs caused all of this. And while people on drugs may be a large portion of the crime in the country, you gotta go way deeper into the way people think and act to explain why there is so much crime. But people only look on the surface. where the drugs are visible. The truth is much scarier, its about people not standing up for what they believe in, not thinking rationally. Its a feeling of desperation and a loss of hope thats created by the welfare programs and minimum wage jobs that people can never escape. They use drugs because they have things in their life, in their head, that they want to get away from, if only for a moment. And thats why drugs wont be legal. They provide an escape to life, and some people are seeking escape so intensely that they let it rule their life. They steal and murder and waste away. And the problem isnt the drug, its the desire for escape. Why are so many people unhappy and want to escape? dont ask me, but i'd say it has alot to do with the construction of our current society that shapes the way people think and what they want. *the american dream* so wow. is that making sense for anyone?
make sure next election you vote for people actually looking to make changes to better society rather than further regulate the day to day life us 'common' people have to face everyday (lets not overlook politicians are 90%+ wealthy individuals not subjected to day to day stresses we face). Even then, its a shot in hell. Further I'd suggest we portray this website as one of intelligent thought rather than a place for people to post pics of their black tar heroine. I do not believe pot to be a 'gateway' drug, but for those who do use pot and hard core drugs, they make us look bad. I view pot use a lesser evil than alcohol, and I have been around enough to speak from experience. One last point; when you are voting...and the media (an evil unto their own) asks if 'you have ever smoked grass' and the politician answers "I tries it once, didn't inhale and didn't like it." We recognize that is pure bullshit and do NOT vote for them. If you didn't inhale...how do you know you didn't like it?

As an American citizen and a former US Soldier this is horribly embarrassing to me. The US has WAY WENT too far and I hope the Canandian Government squashes them like the little dicked piss ants they are. If I were a leader of another country and a foriegn government came to me and demanded one the citizens that resided in our country with threats of embargos and such..... I would kick their ass out of our country and willingly stop ALL trade with that country. Yeah it may hurt, maybe not smart either. But goddamnit I am not wored to lay down and take it like a little punk either. Someone SOMEWHERE has to stand up to this fascist, fuedalistic capitalist nation and do it on a Worlwide stage so that the USA can be seen for what it is. I am truly ashamed to be called an American right now. Not just because of this, but MANY MANY other things as well. This presidential election I will vote for the first time ever in my life. I think all of us on Growkind, I MEAN EVERY DAMNED ONE OF US that can vote in the USA should pick ONE PERSON and ALL OF US WRITE THEIR NAME IN the ballot. Will we win? NO will we be heard YOU BETTER FUCKING BELIEVE IT. The US government is having a hay day because it knows how hard it is to unite the people in the US together. IF ONE GROUP of US citizens could ban together and make a good push I truly believe it would have a snowball effect. I would participate in marches and rallies if we had them. Regardless of weather it is legalized or not, people will still be thrown in jail for it. Pigs will ALWAYS blame pot for someone fucking up. MMJ is available in how many states now? Like 10, and those people ARE STILL BEING JAILED. Evening in fucking Cali. people are being arrested and jailed for growing weed regardless if they have a 215 card or not. IF it ever gets legalized world-wide it will be just like everything else. There will always be people working their asses off to make it illegal again and keep it off the streets. Look at cigirattes. How many fucking people rally over shutting down their factorys a day? Probabaly millions. Pot will be exactly the same. Regardless if it's legal or not we will NEVER HAVE PEACE. There will be DUI charges for smoking weed given out everyday. Sollicatation to minors charges given out everyday. Abuse centers started up everyday. We will be prosecuted and jailed until the end of time weather it's legal or not. I hate to say it, even though I try myself, we are fighting an endless battle. I pass out flyers and support weed everywhere I go and nothing has changed. I have countless friends doing the exact same, nothing has changed. I've sent letters, emails, petitions to legislators and political leaders and nothing has changed. Everyone on this board will be dead and gone before we EVER see legalization and thats just the cold hard truth. It's the same as the fight to bring our troops home. Wasting your fucking time, same scenerio. The government doesn't give a **** about us, face the facts. If they cared they would realize it by now. In 3 years nothing will have been accomplished except for the fact that Bush has single handedly destroyed our economy and our nation as a whole. We are in a pit we can not climb out of. Reality is, we may see legalization one day, but we will never escape prosecution and harsh treatment for the way we choose to live OUR lives. Medical users are being harrassed, jailed, and stripped of their personal belongs each and every day in each state that has allowed it's use and that will never change. They don't give a rats ass weather we live a peaceful life, a comfortable life, or a happy life and they never will. Politicans say they care when we know for a 100% fact that THEY DO NOT. Bush promised the same **** as every other president and what has he done? Killed millions of people, cost the nations debt to increase, and ruined our economy in such a way we will never recover and he still has 3 years left!!! A LOT can happen in 3 years people. Even though this fight is a never ending battle and will probably never end, I will continue to TRY. Thats all any of us can do. Sitting around and crying about it will do NOTHING for any of us but make people look down upon us even more then they already do. I hate to be the one to rain on everyones parade but the ONLY way any of us will be able to live the kind of life that we all wish to live is if we all pack our **** and move to Amsterdam. Other then that, we'll spend the rest of our days being laughed at, made fun of, and harrassed until the world comes to a "white flash" filled end. Keep your heads up however, maybe we can make it a little better for the future of America, our children and their children, so on and so forth. But the fact remains. no matter how many people support it, there are always millions upon millions who will fight just as hard to keep things the way they are today. For every 1 person fighting for weed, there are 2 more fighting against. ~edit~ I for one know how imparitive this fight is. Walk a day in my shoes. It's what keeps me going forward and fighting strong. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. You just never know how long that tunnel may be. Neobud- Finally we have someone who is willing to seriouslly get down to business. I'm so fed up with the way it seems that I'm the only one really trying to do anything about this issue around here. I think your idea of all of us banding together on election day is THE GREATEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL YEAR!! You, my friend, are a very wise man indeed. I've been trying to band together a rally for I don't know how long but it seems everyone is to afraid of the PIGS arresting them and placing them on their "watch-list". Personally, I do give a f **** what the pigs think of me or how hard they watch me. If being a supporter calls for jailtime then I'll do my teachings in the pin and allow my knowledge to spread all thru the system. I alone have done more then my share of work and am still finding new ways to get the message out. Fact is, we need more people like you neo, who are willing to get out there and take a stand no matter what. Must be the military in you, . The Army is a beautiful thing. I guarantee everyone I meet, before they leave my pressence know my stand on MMJ and MJ for recreational use. I tell everyone everything I know and tell them to PLEASE share this information with as many as possible and some actually do but more of them do not, I'm afraid. The election idea is FANTASTIC and we seriouslly need to think about doing that. Hell man, if it's only you and I at the polls then thats 2 more people then they had before. It sickens me all of the people who will smoke the sweet medicine and cry about it not being legal but won't do **** to help the cause. I made the flyers myself. All it takes is a little creativity and word processor. I put quotes from Doctors, politcal leaders who support MMJ and news articles of success patients. I put informative information and expressed my own thoughts about MMJ and MJ for recreational use. Brain storm a little, make it look neat and professional and have at it. All ya gotta do. MCL PeAcE
