I think that sounds great! We still planning on a vote around X-mas and a decision by the first of the year? That would give them a month to add any places they want to. I think thats plenty of time and it keeps with our original timeline.:alienwink:

Funny you chime in T6. I'll be posting two vote threads this weekend. One for timing, the other with the sites we've discussed. Checked on a couple great spots in North Carolina. The possession laws are liberal but I think we need to keep with med use states.
Yes unless there is a favorable spot in the east which I dont think there is compared to cali or colorado our choices are pretty limited as far as the liberal states and our personal safety. Will wait to see the polls thanks Res t6
I have a couple other spots picked out for the Colorado proposal. One of them is the place where the "Bong-a-Thon" is held every year. It's not far from Denver, about 1/2 hour outside of town. It's private property and is used for such events year round. Another spot I'd like to propose is right on the Colorado River with excellent fishing and rafting availability. This spot is also privately owned and the owners would NOT have ANYTHING to do with us while we're there. Very smoker friendly and even grow themselves. So, I'm not sure how we want to go about this process . . . put out a poll, around XMas, for locations, as in Colorado, Oregon, California and whatever East Coast prospects, and allow the poll to run until New Years? Then determine the location in the State chosen? I'm good no matter how we determine the State and the actual location, I just want to be clear on how it'll happen. I still think the Boat only access camping spot is a great place for us, so thats going to be my main push spot for Colorado. I'll be watching to see what happens here. :alienwink:
My thoughts were to submit locations on this thread. Then add a poll on Sunday to run until New years. The timing will be another thread after the location is picked. Obviously August in the southern Sierra's is freaking hot but in the northern Rockies is a great time. Same as NC, September or October are gorgeous there. I'll organize any options into a single post for easy reference.

I really think we should determine where the next event will be, as in the state, then determine the actual location in a vote too. The reasoning for that is I don't want to suggest Colorado, Granby boating trip and have it get beat out because people don't like the idea of boating or renting a boat. And I don't want to suggest one of the other spots because it's "more conventional" and not because it's the all around best spot. Like I mentioned before, I'd like to suggest a few locations here and Colorado and with the "committee" determine the specific location. Then timing would naturally be a separate poll it seems . . . . I may not be seeing the big picture, but I think I'd like to see Colorado on the poll for it's location, areas of possible gathering and MJ/MMJ friendliness . . . not because of the mode of travel to a specific spot of ease of access to another spot or the like . . . Does that make sense? I'm just trying to be fair and set a standard for future fairness in selection. But, I am good either way, I can go kicking and screaming. :alienwink:
