I think a deadline should be set to have all the final locations propositions in order, unless I'm missing this somewhere else. I have changed my mind on the Granby spot, as it would cost :$ $$: out of pocket and I'm just NOT willing to make that sacrifice for this event. So, that location is off the list . . . I do have several other locations that need to have the details pounded out, but it shouldn't take too long to finalize them as worthy or not. I have a Forest Service friend looking into locations for us and she should have some definitive locations in the near future. Any thoughts?
I'm fine with taking Granby off the list. That's the one with the boat right? I thought it was a cool idea, but logistically it was going to be a bitch to pull off.
I was kind of mixed on this one like aj. we set up the rules to protect our own security. Now that bb is going we are basically leaving the door open for other unqualified members to attend. If we figure from last year, a site that can support 10-20 people will be fine. Rky- To bad about Granby but I'm prone to agree with you. Great spot but if we need a pontoon it's gonna get spendy up front. The other thing I was worrying about was a bunch of stoned folks at the controls of a rented boat. One goofball running that thing up river into some rocks is all it'd take to make for a fucked up weekend.

If we can skip the pontoon it'll work for me. I've got a 14ft river jon w/14hp motor that is an easy tow. Might be fun to run that upstream for fishing. It just bounces over rocks and shit. Good hauler for gear too. The more I think about it, I'm just not hip on renting a boat and all the liability it entails. Somebody gets hurt..hits a stump or rock and blasts a lower unit..nobody ponies up and we eat the $$.
Well there are not any rivers to go up looking at the map maybe rocky knows. With a raft in tow behind a 16 foot that is a easy haul shit I can get at least five people inside the boat t6
There's the strip of river between Lake Granby and the reservoir for Grand Lake. might be some big trout in the tail race off the dam. HMMMmmmmm..... Use, you might catch a fish!
