Man you going off the deep end, lol. How didn't sessions answer the question asked truthfully? And podesta brothers, one lead hillary campaign the other was hired by the russians to help with sanctions, but some how it's trump fault. And once again, the only link at all to russia is guccifer, who if you believe him means all the top dems go to jail (which I wouldn't mind) And health insurance, oh well, fuck obama care. I guess you don't have to buy insurance, his shitty fucking plan increased my costs by 6k a year. But hey I'm covered if I get pregnant, just have shit drug coverage now....makes sense. Isn't birth control supposed to be free now???? Weird my wife's went from $8 a month to $30....but I guess I'm helping the poor or something. A script that my son was on was $10, it went to 80....but totally ok right? The entire Obamacare law was to ensure profitability for insurance companies until single payer bit you blame trump? What's crazy though, you preach social8sm but you don't practice it
Crap now I've spent the last 24 hours soaking in my new love interest. Goodbye Pam Anderson Pre-Tommy Sex Robot! Hello KAC! (post Trump model is OK. Look at his hands fer chrissake) What's so sexually arousing about her is that she obviously has no boundaries. Nothing is off the menu. She'll do anything.
do you read much? not saying in a bad way, just asking if you dig books. should check out collapse and guns, germs, and steel both by jared diamond
I read that! And saw the video version, which was also good. I loved it. yeah I read a lot. Not a lot of news. I try to stay a little unplugged. I listen to NPR on the radio, but that's alot of the BBC. No radio talk shows. I read no newspapers regularly. I do read historical fiction a lot, and also books that catch my interest like I just ordered from Amazon a new book called "The Unsettlers: Searching for the Good Life" or something like that. About off the gridders. And another one by the same author called ""The Man Who Lived Without " I see the evils in the world around me (no reference to the politcal stuff, just in general). My instinctive reaction is to withdraw. But only if I can drag KAC with me to my cave. LOL
pick up collapse, it's kinda repetitive for being as long as it is, but i would be interested in your take on that....specially given todays world everyone forgets, even rome fell
I never forget. And Rome was around a lot longer than the USA so far too. I try to imagine how unimaginable change must have been to romans used to 400 or 500 years of power. We've been a country for a hot 241. There was a National Geographic article years ago called "Thier Story is Our Story" that highlighted many remarkable similarities between Rome and the US. If memory serves it was cautionary. I tried finding it a while ago to no avail. People who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
Rome fell because it was no longer Roman in my humble opinion. Same can be said about europe today, within 20 years it will no longer be europe. Thus my hard line stance here
OK so the budget proposal. Take away meals on wheels, healthcare for poor people, and transportation. Give money to military. Note that this budget is not a deficit reduction budget, it is a re-allocation of funds. The increase in military spending means that money goes to the military contractors. Hmmm. I've been in the wrong business way too long. I need to invent a gun or something. Or software that controls a real live armed drone. Wait a minute. I've got it. I am like the innocent old scientist who discovers a powerful tool for both good and evil, and who is pursued with equal vigor by those who want to use that power, who are variously good and evil and every mix in between. I stumbled across this frog with glowing red eyes....
i liked the pic of the blonde on the couch with her shoes on, all those guys standing around, wonder what happened at that meeting. I seen the look on the one old black guy was like "score". Lol
about the budget, i guess that can be one way of looking at it... or another would be they are drastically cutting overhead for departments that basically don't do anything. anyone stop to think...hmmm...maybe the epa doesn't need a swat team to raid homes for storing water, or maybe fda doesn't need a swat team to raid farmers who file the wrong paperwork. or paying people to learn modern art, you know shit that someone has to explain what it is, or whats art. maybe that shouldn't be a priority maybe the departments are over staffed when you read on how much porn the fed gov watches on our dime. I can't say that I'm thrilled with the increased military spending, but the cutting from the other agencies was needed. I did read a hilarious article from huff post i think, what it means to be poor under trump proposal....it was supposed to show how evil trump was, i could only sit and laugh that if every single aspect of your life was dependent on a government program, you actually suck and are a waste of space. but the kicker is when you actually read the budgets of most of the programs, they don't do shit for the poor, they spend 10 to 1 on over head and staffing...it's literally just high paying jobs that do absolutely nothing....like not a single thing. The state just investigated the city i live outside of, the grants and money given for programs was unbelievable, one contract was for over 1 million a year to have fresh fruit in 10 locations in the poorer neighborhoods, they found 3 places, with rottten fruit. or our parks program, which i love the outdoors, county scored fine, city, so much money was missing and some spent on hotel rooms so workers can have sex on the job, then also they bought a bunch visa gift cards so they could resell them etc. i honestly think the entire gov from local to fed should have to account for each dollar spent like i do on my expense reports......because i'm sure if you did this, you could cut the entire gov by 2/3rds and have better services. right now it's just a free for all our gov incentivizes waste to reward workers, that's gotta stop
It would be interesting to know under whos administration the need to add swat to government agencies, arose... Was it the tree huggers, or the gun huggers?? although, I'd rather have a gun than a tree if i needed one.. Who got the ball rolling on giving out surplus army equipment to to your local LEO??? So far i haven't seen any repainted black and white armored hummers.. O.D. is a little more to the point... M16 in the trunk every cop car... Better off with a shotgun up front..... After 28 years of alternating admins, it would be interesting to know if it was more one party, than the other... I think there needs to be a funny article about what it will mean to be really rich under Donald Trump... There should be a lot of meat on that bone.. Maybe SNL has already covered that... I started watching again now that it's political.. DT has been a gift to them, that keeps on giving and giving... When i used to read the paper, political cartoons and the regular ones made it worthwhile.. Nothings changed..
http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/oct/10/epa-spends-millions-on-military-style-weapons-repo/ This is the epa, honestly does anyone here actually support this? This isn't about clean water, air etc. 70% of the agency makes more than 100k, each swat member costs over 200k. Have yo7 seen what these agencies have been doing to people over the past few years? It's lunacy....they can actually take your land, shit if drainage ditch backs up, they can call you home a wet land. Should we start listing agencies and what's actually being cut? Even the meals on wheels, 300k, that's all that's being cut, literally spending hundreds of millions of dollars to give 300k to meals on wheels. I'm what world does that make sense This shit is so mismanaged they should lose all funding...even npr, sesame Street went to HBO last year, so are we actually all bitching about not getting to watch antics roadshow? Or pp, they don't offer prenatal, nor even mammograms, so why should they get money for that? You bitch about military contracts which I agree with, but defend the absolute grotesque waste of funds that is our fed government. Do you know why we are rebuilding military? Cause we owe a shit load of money that we can't pay out, but believe we'll go to war over that money cause we can fight. It's like fronting stagger Lee a lb and wanting your money, but knowing he ain't paying, just going to beat your ass when you ask for it
Bush started with military surplus, Obama took it to levels not seen...then complained of weapons of war on American streets. But it seems like some agencies always had small groups of armed (I'm thinking like Elliot Ness) but now it's ex0anded to armored personal carriers, spy planes etc. It's lunacy It's almost like the government doesn't trust it'd citizens
OK. I just discovered I can watch Downton Abbey on my computer, and I've been obsessed. It reminds me that I really believe in my heart of hearts that I was born to be in the ruling class. I definitely need a valet. A cook and a butler too. How have I gotten on all these years without them? Seriously. There is something I love about that old feudal class system. I totally indulge the fantasy that I can be lord of the manor again. Just need enough cabbage. I think I'm just jealous that Trump beat me to the punch. But! A good man is never down long. This rash of anti-regulation sentiment might spill over into the foreign domestic servant industry. My next venture will be to launch a company that specializes in bringing in foreign domestic servants for anybody who can afford them. With any luck I can market a live in maid, butler, or cook (or all three!) to the working class in America, made affordable by the lack of regulation. I will just buy them by the container and sell them at a profit. Keep the best for meself. Brilliant!
This is interesting. https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2015/09/decline-domestic-help-maid/406798/ "For centuries, a woman’s social status was clear-cut: either she had a maid or she was one. Servants—often live-ins—who did the bulk of the cooking, laundry, and childcare were an indispensable part of life for virtually everyone who wasn’t a domestic worker him or herself. Live-in maids, though, are now an anachronism—their outfits are more often seen as Halloween costumes or part of sexual roleplays. The fact that servants used to be a fixture of domestic life and are now reserved for the wealthy is one of the key, but little discussed, reasons why contemporary middle-class men and women feel overwhelmed by responsibilities. The receding presence of hired help has been accompanied by tremendous and long overdue boosts in the rights of domestic workers. At the same time, it means that fewer families today can afford the household support that was available to previous generations; paying even a part-time nanny on the books can be a time-consuming and expensive bureaucratic procedure." I will take the headache out of getting domestic help. My company, aided by Trump's JOBS JOBS JOBS program, will create a shit ton of jobs by making service an industry again. Affordable for everyone except a domestic worker. OK so what rules do I need slashed to get this done? Minimum wage exception. Workers compensation insurance exception. Tax exception. Worker documentation or visa status exception. I figure if you can offer a safe, regular warm place to sleep and bathe and cook, there are a shit ton of war refugees all over the world who would give anything at all for the chance to come live with you, and would be totally willing to be a good domestic servant for the privilege. No pay at all! I need a law written that creates a indentured servant type class of imported immigrant who gets to actually get in the line to get an application to become a citizen after working one of my jobs for, say, five years. Then you trade up the ones who don't become loyal to you because of your superior merit and morality. If Trump needs his ICE thugs to do a screening first , or vetting, or whatever nonsense he invents, so be it. But once we know they aren't terrorist and prone to blowing us up or cutting our throats in our sleep, I say the more people I can absorb into the western life the better. Saving the world, one maid at a time. I'd come up with some screening to do to make sure my clients would be good masters. But we can rest assured those who can afford hired help will have scruples. It's awesome when the cards are stacked in your favor. It's the best really.
I hate to break it to ya, but that's not a new biz model. all kinds of mail order brides out there, or are you trying for a new market, say exotic canadians or even hatians btw, listening to the hearings? so no collusion between the russians officially, but it's funny the spin on cnn.
listening intently. plenty of and covering up of russian contacts with trump's cronies. no collusion yet, but it sure looks bad. investigation ongoing. honestly I am appalled at what we are hearing. I seriously doubt trump himself colluded, but the whole thing just stinks worse than anything and the fact that some people are focusing on the leaks rather than the substance of the leaks is basically like admitting guilt. they care more about denying wrongdoing and blaming the whistle blower than they care about protecting our democratic election process. However i also feel this is inevitable inasmuch as we have basically legalized the purchase of power in america with CU decision, so its an open field at this point. lobbying is synonymous with corruption, yet we continue to tolerate it. indeed spread it's practice and influence. until the people who benefit from corruption are removed from power, they will continue to OK their own bad acts. still waiting for this swamp draining.
OK fellow muricans. Meet Mercer, your ruler. https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...what-the-powerful-mercers-really-want/514529/
