It's been a long time since I smoked GWS so I can't compare. I actually have 10 fem GWS seeds and a ton of SharkShock in the fridge waiting for a comparison grow I'll post on the mrnice.nl site. I'm scaling down the garden at the moment in preparation to move to the PNW so the contest will have to wait.

 

The Widow crosses I've grown seem to like a lot of Nitrogen. My MedMan flowers for 10 weeks.

 

Well Ras, those look like shit! If I were you, I'd box those bitches up and send them to me for some tender loving care. Well, how's this? You can finish them up then take all those leaves off and just send me the bud. I'll let you know if they're lacking. :thumbsup:

Okay, so it's Choppy time. The Sharks are coming down. I'll post bud pics as soon as they are dry and once they get a bit of a cure a smoke report will follow. The buds a super dense so far on the first 2 to get the axe. That's pleasing. Stay tuned. asssit:

 

Wellllll...... here is an update on the Shark Shock. The 3 quick finishers #1, #4, & #5 all came down at 8 weeks. #5 was the prettiest out of the 3 however it was not the best after they were dried and cured. I love the bud structure of #5 but it's lacking in flavor and aroma compared to the other 2. We are only interested in keeping quick flowering phenos at this time so #2 and #3 are just finished drying and will be cut from the lineup due to incompatibility with my requirements for new strains at this time.


I will keep either #1 or #4 as our new commercial strain. Both yielded well and have nice dense buds. They smell pleasant like slightly sweet and mildly skunky. Flavor is similar with a bit of a piny note at the end. Both are pretty similar and I'm not sure yet which one will be the winner.


However, I will say that on a whole I'm not as happy as I had hoped I would be with the strain. It's good, in fact the potency is Great and top shelf, but the flavors and aromas are just good and not spectacular, which is what I'm looking for for the long run. I do have 10 more seeds to try at a later date. But overall good genetics.


Here are a couple shots of the dried and cured buds. they are mostly small buds. I gave out and have been smoking all the big buds to help me make my decision as to which one to keep.

Yeah, they're dense like little rocks. There were some bigger buds in the beginning, but they got smoked first! :jj:
